Chapter 93: A yes, it was. - II

The next morning was relatively lazier. Evelyn had woken up on time. It was around 30 minutes past 7 that she had actually bothered to go down and try to interact with people and the new guy that she had begun dating.

To her surprise almost no one was there. She had expected the kids to be woken up by now or one of the adults but no one was there. The kitchen was empty except for The chef and the living room had no one inside.

For the first time, Evelyn actually found herself to be too free inside the house to even think of something.

That was when she thought of going exploring. This building was custom made for the pleasure of the don which meant that there was much more than what she was introduced to before.

Obviously Julian was not going to give her a house tour. As she now realised Julian had only given her a tour of what was necessary for her to know.

Evelyn first turned to the left. She was aware of the living room so the next thing she did was move around the house to notice what was there.

The kitchen was almost visible from the living room itself. The dining table was there and only two rooms were at the end of the hallway which were the staff rooms.

The next thing that came was upstairs. Slowly climbing up each and every stair slowly and steadily Evelyn reached the end of the stairs only to be met by a small pasaway that took her to the large balcony.

She eyed the small yet comfortable for anyone to fit through the passage. How had she never paid attention to it?

Maybe because all she ever did was try to escape the sight of everyone and stay in her room, locked up in between the four walls.

She ignored the balcony because she had seen it which made it no more important than what lies ahead. Evelyn crossed the bedroom of Salvatore then hers and then the ones that the twins were still inside.

There was one door right beside her bedroom that Evelyn did not recognise and there was one right at the end of the hall. The hallway stopped there.

She found the right in front of her to be more interesting which is why without waiting any further, Evelyn walked straight ahead to the door at the end of the hallway and probably the last door in the penthouse. Her hand touched the knob and she twisted open.

Pushing the door open, Evelyn stepped into the room only for her eyes to be met with Salvatore’s.

With a cocked brow Salvatore eyes her, "Yes?"

Shit. "n-nothing," she shook her head and took during step back but his eyes held her in place.

"Have you ever heard of the concept of knocking, Evelyn?"

She nodded at his question. Evelyn had heard of the concept for shop she had practiced it many times in her life. That was done especially after she had walked In on a bloody side of her father killing someone in his office.

"Good then," he pointed to the chair in front of him, "you might want to start applying it here."

Evelyn gave him a nod of acknowledgement telling him that she understood his words as she closed the door behind her. Entering the office, she sat on the chair that he had previously pointed towards.

"Have you made yourself a cup of coffee?" He asked and she shook her head in denial. Evelyn had just gotten up from bed and gotten ready for the day before going downstairs and when she found no one she had focused on exploring the place.

"Alright then," he closed his file and stood up. "Let’s get ourselves something to eat."

Eat? With his outstretched hand in front of her, Evelyn gave it a quick glance before placing her hand in his. It was not an instant to place your hand into his as someone she was dating but because the Don had stretched out his hand for her to take.

Some things in this relationship would certainly take a little amount of time to change.

As said, Salvatore took her down stairs and into the kitchen before getting started on the cup of coffee.

A Cappuccino was best in the morning.

He placed her cup in front of her before sitting on the head chair off the dining table. One thing that Evelyn was not expecting was having his complete attention after he was seated.

"What?" She blurted out.

Salvatore chuckled. He chuckled. "Nothing." He shook his head. "Do you like it?" He nudged his head towards her cup of coffee.

Evelyn glanced at it before taking another step to make sure that she had tasted it once more before commenting. "Good." She told him.

She could barely hold back the grimace that came on her face. He had used no sugar. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"Good," he nodded, "since I always wake up before you, how about making you a cup of cappuccino every morning?"

A cup of cappuccino every morning by someone else sounded delicious and delightful. But each one without a teaspoon of sugar would kill her.

"I would love that." She smiled at him. Oh, the things she would have to do for love. . . Or just for survival.

Salvatore nodded and took another sip before saying. "My brother’s will take care of the twins today. Also we would let them wake up late today. Would you like to have breakfast with me?"

"Here?" She asked where the destination was before catching on to his words. "If you let the twins sleep in, they would go to bed late at night and then wake up late tomorrow which is a Monday."

He gave her a grin. "I know." He naughty look and the twinkle in his eyes told her that he had something planned for the mother. "And no, we will be going out for breakfast. So do you want to get ready?"
