Lu Ting didn’t know whether it was the sight of Huo Fei Li that compelled her to try and maintain the connection with Lin Xuan Qi, or the fact that she wasn’t able to get away from Ghost Hands Fong’s insistence.

It might even be the fact that she was just maybe, feeling that Lin Xuan Qi wasn’t someone that was too bad in comparison.

Lu Ting stood up and glanced at her servant.

"Prepare to go to the mountains."

Her servant bowed at her and they got to work.

Lu Ting drew out her sword and checked its blade before putting it back into its scabbard.

Hope that everything would work out fine, she thought silently to herself.

Ghost Hands Fong hadn’t spoken after she left Lin Xuan Qi’s mansion previously and for the first time in a very long time, she felt that she would be going into the mountains alone.

Lu Ting didn’t know what to do with the relationship with the old woman in her thumb ring.

The servant girl kept tilting her head back, trying to give a hint to Lu Ting.

Maybe it was Ghost Hands Fong that made her dislike Huo Fei Li throughout the years with her constant brainwashing, Lu Ting was going to find out this time.

And besides that, she needed Huo Fei Li’s access to the Nine Fold Yin-Yang Star Iron for Lin Xuan Qi.

"Open the doors." Lu Ting pointed at the doors and said, much to the surprise of her servants.

Her servants didn’t dare to say much and they obliged.

"Ting Er!" Huo Fei Li’s face lit up when the doors opened.

He lifted his leg, wanting to step into her room but stopped himself at the last moment.

He thought that it was best for him to stay out of her room.

Words might get around and it wouldn’t be good for her name.

Lu Ting sighed at him and said, "You can go with me but on a condition."

"I will be fine with anything you say." Huo Fei Li didn’t even wait to hear her condition and he agreed immediately.

She shook her head at him and said, "Why would you agree without any hesitation? What if the condition was for you to hurt yourself?"

"I know you wouldn’t do that to me." He replied with a smile, confident in his future wife-to-be.

She shook her head at his naivety.

Huo Fei Li has a long way to go to be like Lin Xuan Qi, she thought silently to herself when she compared them.

Lu Ting shook her head again and told him her condition for him to go with her, "I need enough Nine Fold Yin-Yang Star Iron for an Alchemy Furnace."

"Nine Fold Yin-Yang Star Iron?" Huo Fei Li didn’t think much about it and nodded his head, "No problem. I have more than enough for three Alchemy Furnaces if that’s what you want."

Lu Ting was an Alchemy Cultivator and it wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to need materials for an Alchemy Furnace.

He was more than happy that she had requested something from him.

It was also why their elders had matchmade them together.

The two Clans would be able to help each other with the resources they had.

"It’s a deal, make sure you get ready to go into the mountains and..." Lu Ting gave a sigh and said, "...don’t you dare come near me without my permission."

Out from the corner of her eyes and through the window in the room, she could see the leaves on the trees struggling to stay on the branches with the cold wind blowing.

It would be cold up there in the mountain, she thought silently.

She rubbed her thumb ring again but nothing happened as usual.

Ghost Hands Fong kept silent.

"So, you wouldn’t even want to let me have the chance to spite you?" Lu Ting mumbled to herself while she waited for Huo Fei Li and his men to get ready.

It didn’t take long and Huo Fei Li returned with his men after going away for a few moments.

"Ting Er... Let’s go." He said and waved at Lu Ting, eager to be able to go on a trip with her.
