Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 443: Has Someone Cast a Spell on Him?
Damon Hawke’s words felt like a slap in the face, making Mary’s complexion alternate between pale and flushed.
She joined Kensington Group just to get closer to him, hoping to seize the opportunity nearby.
She was younger than Amelia Miles and hadn’t had children. She couldn’t believe she couldn’t make Damon Hawke mesmerized by her.
But now, Damon Hawke actually ordered that without his command, she couldn’t enter the president’s office.
He even told Amelia Miles that her professional skills were inadequate.
Isn’t it just pouring a cup of water?
Spilling it on him makes her professional skills inadequate?
This was all to show Amelia Miles.
How could she be so aggrieved?
Mary clenched her fists, watching Amelia Miles calmly tidy Damon’s clothes, full of jealousy.
"Aren’t you going out yet?"
Seeing Mary silent, Damon glanced at her, his expression slightly chilly. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Mary bit her lip, responded softly, and walked slowly towards the door.
Behind her came Amelia Miles’s playful voice.
"Didn’t kneel enough on the keyboard yesterday? I’m telling you, tonight go back to the Hawke Family, don’t get in my way."
How could she be so fierce?
Mary opened the door and looked over instinctively.
She saw Amelia Miles twisting Damon’s ear.
She actually twisted Damon’s ear!
And Damon wasn’t angry at all; he even leaned over with a cheeky smile.
"Honey, don’t be mad, I was wrong."
"Stop with the cheeky grin, I’m not buying it."
"Then what will you buy? Honey, give me a hug."
"Scram."
"..."
Mary couldn’t bear it any longer and closed the door angrily.
Who does Amelia Miles think she is?
How could she be so overbearing with Damon?
And Damon, the dignified president of the company, how could he have no dignity like this?
Could he have been cursed!
...
After working late into the evening and working overtime for a while, Elena Soo finally returned to the villa at Amelia Miles’s urging.
Looking at the luxurious villa facade, Elena didn’t feel good.
If she could, she would rather work overtime at the company all night than return to this unwelcoming home.
But that was just a thought.
In real life, she had to return home eventually.
As soon as she entered the door, she heard the sweet little voice of Tilly inside.
Tilly was back.
At this moment, she was sitting on the sofa, talking to Mrs. Miles about things she found interesting.
Elena actually quite liked the little girl.
Because when she first met her, the little girl was adorable and very polite.
But later, under the influence of the Collins Family’s indoctrination, she became an evil stepmother.
The look in Tilly’s eyes was full of dislike.
Other than smiling apologetically, there was nothing she could do.
"Tilly’s back?"
Lost in thought, Elena saw the little girl looking at her and smiled as she greeted her.
"Hmph, bad woman, I hate you, you’re not allowed in my house."
Tilly dashed over from the sofa and gave her a shove.
Though the little girl’s strength wasn’t great, Elena felt like a heavy blow had landed on her heart.
It seemed that the Collins Family was once again tirelessly vilifying her in front of the little girl.
It was truly exasperating.
Elena steadied her steps, walked up to the little girl, squatted down, and grasped her shoulders.
"Tilly, you mustn’t be so rude. Why do you hate me? How am I a bad woman?"
"You are a bad woman! You’re the wicked witch who will secretly give the little princess a poisoned apple. Go away! You’re not allowed here."
The little girl puffed up her cheeks and pushed her vigorously.
Her hand reached up to scratch Elena’s neck as if she had sharp little claws.
Elena only felt pain on her neck, and a flash of anger rose in her heart.
She firmly grasped the little girl’s hand, "Tilly, how can you scratch people? That’s not right. Apologize to me!"
The little girl couldn’t break free from her hand and began crying anxiously.
"Grandma, hurry, the wicked witch is going to hit Tilly."
Mrs. Miles had been watching the scene unfold, and hearing her granddaughter’s cry, she rushed over, pulled the little girl away, and gave Elena a hard shove.
"Elena, what are you trying to do? You’re really the stepmother, scolding and hitting my granddaughter? Get out, get out right now!"
Elena staggered back from the push, losing her balance and crashing into a chair.
The pain in her waist made her clutch her side, unable to straighten up.
"What are you pretending for? Get out of here, do you all just stand there? Get her out of here!"
Mrs. Miles, seeing Elena holding her waist in silence, shouted.
The servants on both sides, hearing the command, quickly stepped forward and pushed Elena out of the villa.
The door shut with a thud, and Elena fell to the ground.
Looking at the heavy door in front of her, Elena felt a sting in her nose and tears welled up in her eyes.
She wasn’t angry, only felt an overwhelming bitterness.
Why did she persist in such a wealthy lifestyle?
How long could she hold on?
After the pain in her waist subsided a bit, Elena slowly stood up, supporting herself.
She reached into her pocket, relieved that her phone was still there.
She took out her phone and navigated to Evan Miles’s number.
Should she call her husband?
Should she let him know she was kicked out?
But even if he knew, what could it change?
It’s his mother. Could he possibly oppose his mother for her sake?
She didn’t believe she had that charm.
Elena tugged at the corner of her mouth, feeling a bit despondent.
She looked up at the darkening sky, hugged herself, and slowly walked away.
Her chest felt tight, and she wanted to take a solitary walk.
A taxi happened to pass by, and the driver honked at her.
"Hey there, young lady. Need a ride? I’m returning and can give you a discount."
Elena glanced at the driver, pressed her lips together, and got into the car.
She had heard stories about rogue taxi drivers.
But at this point, she didn’t want to think about it.
If she got kidnapped, she’d consider herself unlucky.
Thankfully, it was just her imagination; the world wasn’t filled with that many bad people.
The driver, as she instructed, dropped her off at an older residential area and let her out.
She paid and thanked him before getting out of the car.
Elena looked at the buildings standing in the lit-up environment, her eyes showing a hint of nostalgia.
This was the old neighborhood she used to live in with her family.
It held all her childhood memories.
A resolute smile flashed in her mind, and Elena hugged her arms, suppressing the ache in her nose, and walked towards a nearby garden.
The night breeze blew softly, bringing a chill with it.
The company was silent, with only countless machines and plants quietly absorbing the nourishment of the night.
Elena walked slowly to a swing, reached out to touch the ropes, and then sat down.
She kicked her feet, and the swing began to sway gently.
The memories of the past surged like a tide, bringing the pain of youth.
"Arthur, will you marry me when I grow up?"
"Sure, you eat a bit more and grow up faster."
"Hehe, Arthur, I like you."
"Haha, I like you too."
