Chapter 721: Turn Yourselves

The expression on everyone’s face in the hall was pure terror. The brilliant aura Darian was releasing at that moment was so intense that even those three powerhouses felt pressured. πŸπ«π•–π—²π˜„πšŽπ—―π•Ÿπ¨π•§πžπš•.𝕔𝕠𝐦

The Naposell Palaces’ Supervisor herself had already mentioned that Darian hadn’t used his full strength when he defeated Limdiss, but no one expected Darian’s hidden power to be this terrifyingly strong. Her almost uncontrollable fury was slowly replaced by a shock that kept growing deeper and deeper.

Silence.

When the dust settled, everyone nearly jumped when the one in charge of the test staggered to his feet. His body was covered in blood and...

...the hand he used to try to grab Darian’s neck no longer existed on his body.

The sound of slow footsteps echoed.

Darian approached, with all catatonic gazes fixed on him.

His entire body emitted a multicolored glow, as if it were a celestial aura. Around him, spacetime and all the power of the world twisted.

The impact of that scene was indescribable. Almost everyone present felt dazzled, as if they were dreaming. The sight of him was the most beautiful and terrifying thing any of them had ever seen in their lives.

The one in charge of the test trembled but felt an infinite force pressing his body in place. He couldn’t even feel pain. Saying there was fear in his eyes was almost an understatement; he couldn’t even breathe or scream.

At that moment, a sinister, devilish voice sounded in his ears.

"Since I crippled one... I might as well cripple another."

After speaking calmly, Darian’s figure turned into a blur.

Then he appeared in front of that poor man and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him like a chicken.

Darian’s eyes shone with a black light.

According to the rules he heard before the fight, no matter what injuries the enemy suffered, as long as they didn’t die directly, nothing serious would happen to him. But... that rule was made for ordinary cultivators, not for him.

His black power flowed out, penetrating the enemy like serpents slithering into his body.

"AAAAHHH!!"

A soul-rending scream echoed from the man. His entire figure became covered in terrifying black lines. An indescribable pain made his whole being convulse.

Darian only injected his black power and guided it slightly. He had total control over it and wouldn’t kill him now. It was as if he had poisoned him. But... no one could remove it from inside him without killing him.

Later, Darian would decide whether to kill him for good or remove it... most likely, the first option would be chosen.

Darian was satisfied. His black power was a good tactic to kill without directly killing people from the sect. With this, he could impose himself brutally within the rules.

"STOP!!"

At that moment, the two Supervisors finally reacted.

There was no way they could hold back any longer. Both roared as the power of their cultivation exploded, creating terrifying red waves.

Darian, however, was absolutely calm. That was because he had already sensed something hidden in that hall for some time.

The two Supervisors shot forward. Their hands made a grabbing motion as a stream of blazing power descended toward Darian.

*BOOM!*

The explosive sound resounded as the center of the hall was suddenly flooded with a fantastic, dreamlike golden light.

Everyone’s eyes widened. The attack from the two was completely neutralized and exploded in midair.

Under the glow, the two of them stopped and felt their bodies being forcibly pushed aside by a terrifying Celestial power. It definitely came from someone with cultivation far superior to theirs, making them feel alarmed.

In the next instant, everyone looked up.

There, an imposing golden male figure slowly descended. His undeniably handsome and dignified face appeared, making even the surrounding light lose its brilliance. He exuded an extremely dense Golden Crow Bloodline that lightly wrapped around everyone’s soul, leaving them stunned.

"M-Master!" Pyreus exclaimed, completely shaken.

His eyes filled with tears of joy. That was because his Master no longer looked like an old man with one foot in the grave as before. After Darian healed him, he went to his brother, who helped him fully stabilize his former power and, by extension, his appearance.

Darian snorted, staring at that figure.

"Palace Master... Chrysos!" the Naposell Palaces’ Supervisor exclaimed softly.

Upon hearing the name of the 14th Palace Master, all the new disciples in the hall widened their eyes. Palace Masters were legendary figures, and these outstanding youths had already heard of all of them. But...

Chrysos was an infamous name, known for being someone who in the past had been the second most powerful in the sect, behind only his brother, the leader, but who fell into disgrace after being poisoned.

"C-Chrysos!?" The other Palace’s supervisor raised his head, frowning as deep shock and disbelief appeared in his eyes.

During these thousand years, under the erosion caused by the poison, Chrysos not only risked dying at any moment, but his strength had also weakened to less than a tenth of his original power.

However, his current aura, even without possessing any offensive property, had actually completely sealed all of their power. He... he had fully returned? How?

As if supported by a gentle breeze, Chrysos landed calmly, stopping near Darian and Pyreus, who hurried to his side.

The youths in the hall stared at him full of admiration. His aura gave them a comfortable and friendly warmth, like a true protector they should respect and admire.

Meanwhile, the power the two Palaces’ Supervisors and Baynod exuded made them feel reverence... but above all else, what they felt was fear.

Whether it was his face, his aura, or his figure, it was as if those three had sunk into a deep quagmire.

Baynod shot Darian a meaningful look, then looked away and commented softly, "Palace Supervisors, Master of the Palace, are you truly not afraid of losing your dignity?"

"Humph!" Even shocked, Baynod couldn’t hide his imposing manner in front of Chrysos. "14th Palace Master, are you really trying to question me? The person you brought back seriously injured my niece first, and then left an exceptional disciple of the sect crippled, right in front of everyone! What unforgivable audacity! In all these years, I’ve never seen anyone dare to behave so atrociously. The two Palaces’ Supervisors have already sensed the aura of an Evil Path cultivator in him! There’s no way to be certain, but we must capture him and investigate everything!"

Naposell’s voice sounded cold as she added, "Not only that, you also owe me an explanation."

"N-No, that’s not what happened!" Pyreus replied quickly. "Obviously..."

"You don’t need to explain." Chrysos’s gentle voice cut off his explanation. "I had already arrived here before the end of the first test. I saw everything that happened afterward with my own eyes."

"Ah??" Pyreus was instantly stunned.

As for Darian, when he heard that, he snorted dryly. Then he tossed the idiot he was holding away like a piece of trash.

"You three..." Chrysos’s voice was gentle, but it carried a dignity that made anyone hold their breath. "You know very well who’s right and who’s wrong regarding today’s matter. Besides, from now on, I will accept Darian as an official disciple of my Palace."

The three were about to roar in outrage when Chrysos raised a hand.

A small yellowish crystal appeared. When they saw it, the three’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

The hall became so silent you could hear a needle drop.

The reason for the silence among the ordinary people was different from those three. Someone in the Celestial Nascent Realm becoming a Palace Master’s disciple had never happened in all of history. With this, Darian wouldn’t just enter the sect; he would jump straight to the highest level, becoming someone from the Golden Crow Hall.

If someone heard this by chance, everyone would think it was a huge joke. However, although they were shocked, almost no one present considered it unacceptable. Because all of them had seen what Darian was capable of.

Chrysos stared coldly at the three while holding the yellowish crystal.

"Did you think you could do whatever you wanted in the sect? Did you really think my brother wasn’t aware of your schemes? Now... thanks to my new disciple, you’ve finally shown your claws, huh?"

"YOU!" Baynod roared, stunned.

That crystal was a high-level recorder, an invaluable treasure no one could buy even with vast wealth. Its ability to record images, sound, and even environmental fluctuations was magical, all without emitting any obvious fluctuations.

Because of that, they would never have suspected something like this was watching them.

Chrysos had arrived very early and, using his restored powerful cultivation, hid himself from everyone using the sect’s inscription. Something like that could only be done with the help of the Sect Leader, who controlled it. So he gave him this treasure, and it had been recording the entire time.

Darian had sensed this long ago and simply let things flow without caring much. He normally wasn’t this patient and didn’t like wasting time. In normal situations, he would have attacked long ago and killed at least one of the three, ending this circus ages ago.

When Chrysos’s voice fell silent, a golden light from two pairs of eyes subtly appeared right behind him.

At that instant, the three felt as if they had been struck by lightning. They staggered back in panic, their faces turning pale instantly. Their pupils dilated, and their lips parted, but they were speechless for a long time.

"Go to the Divine Palace and turn yourselves in. The Sect Leader is waiting for you. If you take more than one minute, I guarantee you won’t have any right to defend yourselves and will die miserably."

Chrysos’s voice sounded gentle, but the three felt their hearts race in terror. Even so, they didn’t dare say a single word and turned, preparing to shoot away at full speed.

"Wait a moment." Darian’s dry voice echoed. Along with his voice, an almost magical force pressed them in place, startling them.

As he turned, he waved a hand at Naposell. "My Stargazer Stone. Hand it over."

That woman’s expression and face twisted so badly it was indescribable. She waved quickly, and a spatial ring shot toward Darian.

He caught it and looked inside his treasure, nodding in satisfaction.

In the next second, they shot away at full speed. They wouldn’t flee, because they knew escape was impossible. But to reach the Divine Palace in one minute, they had to be fast. With that, there was a slim chance they might survive.

Silence.

"Pyreus, Darian, let’s go," Chrysos said as he turned. "Another test supervisor is on the way and will finish everything here."

"Yes, Master," Pyreus replied happily, his eyes full of emotion.

"Ah... wait a moment." Darian spoke lightly and moved.

He picked up the spatial ring that was on the severed hand of the former test supervisor. His Fire Soul Pill was there. Then he turned toward a figure in the middle of the crowd of youths.

He waved, pulling out a small communication crystal and tossing it in her direction.

’Emina, if you run into any problem you can’t solve, you can try sending me a message with this.’

When she caught it, the mental message arrived instantly. Her whole body trembled as a complex expression appeared on her face.

At the same moment, Darian stopped and crouched in front of Limdiss on the ground, who was still twitching and trembling as if she were drawing her last breaths. He moved his hand and touched her forehead.

Without anyone noticing, his white power invaded her body, healing the heavy and fatal wounds. She was still injured, but she would not die under any circumstances.

At that instant, she stopped twitching and simply looked unconscious in the middle of the hall.

Darian didn’t give a second glance and turned, leaving.

Thus, what should have been a simple sect admission test turned into the most chaotic one in history, and finally came to an end.
