Damned Healer-Chapter 757: Now, Do You Understand?
Outside the planet, there was already an army with several million cultivators. Every power in the universe that had answered the distress call from the Healers of Heaven Sect had truly brought 100% of their forces.
They had always maintained a very close connection with that sect. After learning the truth, they now had to clear their names and completely eliminate this evil. Everyone on the outside knew they had done business with the sect and had protected it with everything they had over the years.
At that moment, everyone felt the black clouds of Annihilation weakening around the planet.
"IT’S OVER!"
Everything was slowly dispersing, but they still had to wait. Everyone’s senses were fixed on the planet’s surface, searching...
"!"
Almost at the same time, they all noticed an aura emerging from within a deep abyss.
It was Darian. He was still alive!
Gildor and everyone from the Golden Crow Sect almost cried in relief. However, his aura was now incredibly weak. It looked like he had been gravely injured.
Darian stood up with his body covered in blood, but... his eyes shone like stars, full of excitement.
Inside the Golden Celestial Lake, the fire element had reached the highest level possible, and that allowed Darian to create a new technique. Now... the only reason he managed to survive was because he succeeded in doing the same process with the power of lightning.
Of course, the destructive power was colossal and unbearable; Darian nearly died and exploded hundreds of times. But his primordial physique allowed him to endure as much as possible while he used the white power to heal himself. Like that, he balanced on a thin line, almost falling countless times while absorbing the power.
In the end, he won.
’Heavenly Elemental Body level two, completed!’
Darian took a deep breath, feeling all his bones broken. All of his white power was gone, and he had no way to heal. But now he also had a body that had become one with the power of lightning. His natural strength had increased several times over.
After a brief moment of excitement, Darian returned to the skies.
The four figures were still there, all staring at him in disbelief. None of them could believe he had survived... and they could also feel that he had actually used that calamity to become even stronger.
Darian’s eyes were quickly drawn to the amber eyes. They exchanged looks as the ethereal forms of the four began to fade.
Darian stared at her as if he wanted to carve those eyes and those fluctuations into his soul. An intense feeling flowed through him because he had no idea how long it would take before he could see her again.
At that moment, that figure became even more shocked.
"What... why... why are you looking at me like that?"
That voice stammered, sensing something very wrong about that gaze, and finally realizing that he had provoked her on purpose earlier. In truth, he had hit the exact wound she carried and manipulated her perfectly to make her do what he wanted. It was as if... he knew her perfectly.
Darian smiled faintly. "Why? Because I love you, of course."
He spoke without breaking eye contact, conveying through his aura and his words what came from the depths of his being. As a result, those amber eyes widened.
"What the hell... don’t be an idiot! I’m just an illusion! And I died a long time ago!"
Darian smiled a bit awkwardly.
"Yes, I know. But you’re still yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re a little harsher now or if you don’t remember me, I still love you."
"..."
That pair of eyes was completely speechless. As she looked at him, she felt that he was completely honest.
That meant... she was alive again... and did he actually manage to win her over? Her mind reflected in shock.
Darian snorted, then murmured with words filled with painful emotion. "Yes, you’re alive. I will find you again, and after that, I promise I will never make you suffer again."
The other three beside her nodded slightly, then disappeared first.
The entire image of the Divine Dragon vanished, leaving only the pair of eyes, which kept staring at Darian until the end. Then the sound of a deep snort escaped... that snort sounded like a deep sense of relief.
After that, her voice echoed extremely loudly.
"If you really love me, then stop fooling around and get strong already, you idiot! Don’t make me wait, or I’ll make you pay a thousand times worse!"
Darian nodded slightly. That figure saw only that... and then disappeared completely.
Darian stood there, motionless, staring at the place where that figure had been before.
Pillars of light appeared all over the planet, piercing through the black clouds as they dispersed. That was the end of the Celestial Annihilation.
Darian clenched his fists. He already knew that Niara, while he had been dead waiting for his mother to get pregnant, had managed to become an immortal. Knowing how much she trusted him... she was definitely waiting for his return.
The problem was... 5,000 years had passed in Earth’s universe. Because of the time difference, in her universe it had been almost two million years. Darian couldn’t even imagine that amount of time.
A sharp pain ran through him just thinking about the suffering she must have gone through.
"I can’t waste any more time..." He looked away and took a deep breath to calm himself. Then he took out a healing pill and swallowed it.
At that moment, all the clouds had already disappeared. The sky filled with beams of light that rushed toward him like a swarm.
"DARIAN!" Chrysos exclaimed, approaching him together with Gildor.
The two of them felt Darian’s aura was somewhat turbulent, but he was completely fine—just carrying some heavy physical injuries. He calmly nodded to both of them, then turned his gaze.
Not too far away, another crater was still there, and at its bottom was the entrance to the small dark world.
Darian had provoked the Divine Dragon at the start, and when she suddenly attacked him, he moved far away from that place.
Later, during the fully focused attack from all four of them, everything hit almost entirely on Darian, not affecting that place—or the planet—as much as one would expect.
"Let’s go. Our reward can’t be taken away," Darian said calmly, and the two swallowed nervously.
Gildor nodded and helped support Darian as they moved. Soon, they approached the army of cultivators surrounding that entrance.
The Feys from the Yinblood Sect were leading the assault. Without delay, everyone invaded.
Inside was a space about half the size of Earth. Everything was covered by a faint black mist. And inside it, there were millions of Evil Path cultivators, frightened by the sudden invasion.
They knew what had been happening outside, but because of the annihilation—and hoping the place wouldn’t be discovered—they had stayed inside.
Now...
"KILL!"
That Fey roared thunderously, and no one hesitated even for a second.
Thus, a grand battle erupted... no, it was almost a massacre.
There were a few thousand Evil Path cultivators who were truly powerful, but the attackers were several times more numerous. So before long, they all began to die brutally.
Not all of them, of course. The Fey leading the attack identified the group of commanders and completely sealed them instead of killing them.
Most likely, this place inside the Healers of Heaven Sect was the central hub of the Evil Path cultivators. But it definitely wasn’t the only one. There were probably hundreds of smaller places across the Celestial Plane where they hid.
But now, these captured leaders would be investigated and forced to reveal everything.
Certainly, people in other places would flee their bases. But they would become disorganized and scattered. After losing the center of everything—their main defense and resource source—if the cultivators of the universe acted in an organized way, these Evil Path cultivators wouldn’t be able to recover.
Very soon, the entire universe could finally become safer, and weaker people would be able to live without the constant terror of being slaughtered by those bastards.
All of this... thanks to a young man no one had ever heard of before.
About six hours later, everything was over.
Darian and the others from the Golden Crow Sect approached the main structure inside that place. At that moment, that Fey came to meet Darian.
When she stopped in front of him, she looked him over in silence, surprised. Darian was now completely healed and radiating vitality. It was as if what had happened a few hours ago had never happened.
Internally, Darian noticed she was far more shaken than usual. He understood why. Most likely, in her sect—the same one his father once belonged to—there were secret pieces of information that ordinary cultivators of the universe didn’t have.
She, as an Elder of that sect, must have connected the dots and realized that Darian did not come from the Mortal Plane or the Celestial Plane.
"Well, everything here happened thanks to me," Darian spoke first.
She heard that and nodded slightly.
He smiled and continued.
"Without me risking my life and almost dying to expose everything, you would still be their allied organizations, doing everything you could to protect those bastards, right?"
Everyone else from the other organizations heard that, and their eyes narrowed coldly. But no one dared say it was a lie.
"Great. In that case... let’s make things easier for all of us. My Golden Crow Sect has no intention of spreading anything. As for you, you can tell the universe that you yourselves united and discovered the truth... or something like that. That way, your reputations will be preserved, and you’ll even be admired across the universe. Perfect, right?"
The people around them took a deep breath but stayed silent.
Indeed, if the real news spread... the Yinblood Sect wouldn’t have any problems, but the others would receive a black stain that would linger on their sects for a long time. They would be known as protectors of Evil Path cultivators.
"What do you want?" that Fey finally asked.
Darian nodded. "Simple. Since I did the dirty work alone, I’ll keep everything this planet has. Whether it’s the stuff from the Healers of Heaven Sect or the things from this place."
"What? That’s impossible," a deep voice sounded from behind. "The techniques and knowledge of the Healers of Heaven Sect are important for the whole universe. My Yangta Sect is the best suited to receive and use them."
Darian turned toward the owner of the voice, indifferent.
Everyone knew the healing technique used by the Healers of Heaven Sect was called **Restorative Yang of Vital Energies**. It was an inheritance left by an Immortal who belonged to the Yangta Divine Beast race.
That entity never created a sect; it only left its inheritance hidden. Its race still existed in this universe, but the ones who found the inheritance were humanoids. Because of that, the Yangtas had always tried to build friendships and connections with the Healers of Heaven Sect, hoping that one day they could obtain that technique from their ancestor.
"Besides, the items of Evil Path cultivators are all contaminated. They refine their weapons with the souls and lives of living beings. Nothing here can be used—we have to destroy everything." The old man continued calmly. "You certainly deserve a reward. So you should keep the Indigo Jades..."
"Fuck that." Darian cut him off bluntly. "I’m keeping the technique, and everything else too. Everything belongs to me, and nobody’s going to steal what’s mine. If you don’t like it, come... We’ll settle it the way you understand best."
Darian spoke, and his eyes shone with multiple colors. Everyone there looked at him while holding their breath.
They weren’t idiots. They had felt the terrifying power this young man had shown while facing that Annihilation. But because his cultivation level was low, they were used to automatically treating someone at that level as inferior. Now, feeling pressure on their bodies, that habit was immediately crushed.
"Sir, my name is Nyndra." Suddenly, that Fey spoke in a friendly tone, surprising everyone.
"Darian," he replied calmly.
She gave a slight smile. "I’d like to agree to give you everything, but... It’s true that the items of Evil Path cultivators can’t simply be left with you like that."
"If you’re talking about the contamination, that’s not a problem," Darian said as he turned.
Not far from them lay the corpse of an Evil Path cultivator.
He walked calmly in that direction while everyone watched.
When he reached the body, Darian nudged the man’s hand, making him drop a black saber. The weapon released a malicious aura strong enough to make anyone nauseous.
The most common technique among Evil Path cultivators was to create a weapon and bathe it with the blood of as many living people as possible to enhance its potential. That was just the basic method—it could go far beyond that in terms of cruelty.
Darian stretched his hand toward the saber.
Then—
"!"
White power appeared and flowed into the blade. But it wasn’t just white power—Darian mixed in a bit of pure Yang as well, just to create the right conditions.
In barely two seconds, everything vanished.
Darian crouched and picked up the weapon. Now the blade was silver, with no trace of the malicious aura.
Everyone stood frozen, unable to understand or believe what had just happened.
Darian walked back and held the weapon out toward the Fey Nyndra. She took a moment to react, but then accepted the saber and examined it carefully.
"This... how..."
Before, that weapon had been at the absolute peak of power, comparable to the most expensive weapons forged by the greatest blacksmiths in the universe. But that didn’t change the fact that it was contaminated and unusable. Now...
"Everything disappeared... but the potential of the material and the weapon dropped by an entire level. Even so, it’s still a good weapon." Nyndra said, taking a deep breath.
Darian smiled slightly. With so many cultivators dying there, he had devoured their karma and was now full of white power again.
"Great. Now do you understand?" Darian said as he turned to the old man and the others.
"I have... an ancient inheritance I found by chance. With it, I can purify everything those bastards used. I plan to pass this to my sect in the future, and the technique is also connected to pure Yang. So with the Golden Crow bloodline, the Healers of Heaven Sect’s technique can be used by people in my sect. There’s no reason for me not to keep everything. Isn’t it enough that you all contributed to and protected those bastards for so long? Now you still want to steal my things when you didn’t do anything?"
Darian’s words started calmly, but by the end, his tone was loud and imposing. Everyone took a deep breath.
The old man from the Yangta sect had a twisted expression. After so long, this was the best chance his race had ever had to reclaim that inheritance—he couldn’t let it slip away. When he opened his mouth—
"Silence," Nyndra cut him off coldly. "My Yinblood Sect guarantees that everything will remain with Lord Darian. We have no right to demand anything except to thank him for exposing this. If anyone dares to contest it, they will face the consequences."
The old man swallowed hard and clenched his fists. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Darian heard that and turned toward Gildor. He was frozen, his eyes half empty as if he were in an illusion. All of this... Darian had promised that one-third of everything would go to his sect.
"Brother, wake up," Chrysos said quickly, then turned to the Palace Masters. "Quick, collect all the valuable items from the dead, and everything inside this place."
All the Palace Masters jumped, snapping out of their stupor. Without wasting a second, they shot off in every direction using all their strength to search for every tiny treasure and item in that place.
They were like beggars who had just discovered a gold mine.
As for everyone else... they stayed where they were in silence, their expressions serious.
But the way Nyndra looked at them made it clear that her entire sect stood behind Darian.
