Deceiving Her Ears: Ignoring Your Call-Chapter 168: Stay Away from Isaac Vaughn
Jason Grant took in all of Natalie Kendall’s reactions, holding up the syringe as he stepped closer, one foot after another.
"Don’t you dare! Get away from me!"
Natalie struggled violently, her restrained arms twisting, her body convulsing, voice hoarse: "You dare! Jason Grant, I dare you!"
Jason stood right in front of Natalie, using the hand without the syringe to yank at her hair. "Once I inject this, you’ll be nothing but a pathetic, tail-wagging dog. And the Beckett Group will be mine."
"That mess in The Grant Group—Isaac wants it? Then he can have it. Compared to the Beckett Group, The Grant Group is nothing!"
So he really harbored such a vicious motive!
Trying to use controlling her to control the Beckett Group!
"Hold her tight, don’t let her struggle too much, or the injection won’t be accurate."
Jason ordered the bodyguards, while he aimed the syringe at Natalie’s arm.
"Jason Grant! Jason Grant! You dare! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!"
Natalie’s desperate screams echoed throughout the entire villa.
"Bang!"
The gunshot rang out at that moment.
"Ah!"
Jason staggered back several steps, his right hand—still holding the syringe—blown clean through.
Now he was cradling his wrist with his left hand, blood gushing from his right, pooling all over the floor.
He dropped to his knees, wailing in agony, almost passing out from the pain.
The bodyguards stared fearfully at the staircase leading to the second floor.
Someone was standing there.
A handsome face pale as a sheet, blood splattered all over, looking no better than Jason himself.
Yet he seemed like the very King of Hell come up from damnation.
"Young Master Vaughn..."
Sarah called out softly.
The gun belonged to Jason, hidden away.
She had stolen it for Isaac Vaughn.
She never imagined Isaac would really use it.
Isaac gripped the stair railing, limping down, eyes locked on Natalie’s silhouette not far away.
As he neared, Jason’s bodyguards released Natalie, hands raised, terrified and shaking.
"Little Ear."
Isaac finally made it to Natalie, but couldn’t hold out any longer, his tall frame collapsing towards her.
Natalie caught him, and the two fell together, clutching each other as they sank to the ground.
"Isaac!" Natalie hugged him tight, her face buried in his neck.
She trembled in his arms.
It made Isaac, already on the verge of blackout, fight to stay conscious again.
He lifted a hand to soothe her back, voice rough and gentle: "It’s over now, Little Ear. I’m here. No one can hurt you. Don’t be afraid."
Natalie closed her eyes, tightened her arms around Isaac’s neck, her tears soaking through his collar.
The front door was kicked open.
Ansel Vaughn and Vanessa Grant rushed in with their people.
"Baby!"
Seeing the scene in the living room, Vanessa nearly fainted on the spot.
"Baby! Baby! Nat!"
She rushed over, grabbing Isaac’s arm, "Baby!"
But Isaac didn’t respond. He’d already passed out.
Ansel’s eyes blazed with fury at the sight of his son tormented so, wishing he could end Jason Grant immediately.
"You! Over here!"
He turned to order the people he’d brought, instructing them to drag Jason out first.
"How’s Isaac? Get him to the hospital first!"
Vanessa was sobbing, if anything happened to her son, she’d never survive it either. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
With great effort, everyone managed to separate Isaac and Natalie. Natalie watched as Isaac was carried away, then, bracing her knees, stood up to follow.
"Young Master Vaughn..."
A weak female voice called out just then.
Natalie turned to see Sarah, her eyes cold and unforgiving.
Sarah curled her fingers, muttering, "Young Master Vaughn promised me, said I could stay with him."
Natalie raised her hand and slapped her.
"Smack!"
Sarah clutched her face, quietly sobbing.
Natalie enunciated every word: "Stay away from Isaac Vaughn!"
