Deceiving Her Ears: Ignoring Your Call-Chapter 199: Absurdity
The entire room was filled with the sounds of kissing.
Sticky and soft.
Isaac Vaughn unzipped the dress on her body, revealing one of her fair shoulders.
His thin lips pressed against it but dared not use force, only gently pecking, slowly caressing.
Natalie Kendall raised her hand.
In that instant, Isaac’s heart tensed.
Perhaps she was waking up.
Realizing who the person on top of her was.
He was the one she detested.
Yet the hands he thought would push him away rested on his shoulders.
Without any strength, just lightly resting.
But his heart felt as if it were tightly gripped.
"Little Ear."
Isaac, overwhelmed with emotion, kissed her eyes, her nose, her cheeks, her ears, and even the hearing aid on her ear.
"You know who I am, right?"
He held her face in his hands, staring deeply into her tear-filled eyes, attempting to get a definite answer.
But Natalie didn’t give him that answer.
She only slightly furrowed her brows, letting out a sound that seemed both coquettish and resentful, as if complaining about him stopping and not giving her pleasure.
Isaac felt utterly defenseless.
He enveloped her, occupying every inch with force.
It had been too long since he had her.
His soul was trembling.
And they knew each other well, understood each other, how to derive pleasure.
It was madness for several hours.
At the end of it, Natalie had no strength to lift her arms, letting him carry her to the bathroom.
As water glided over her delicate skin, Isaac’s gaze darkened again and again, almost giving in once more to temptation.
Feeling sorry for her exhaustion, he could only restrain himself.
When they returned, and her body sank back into the soft bed, Natalie quickly fell into a deep sleep.
While Isaac held her, looking for hours, unable to get enough, until dawn was approaching before he fell asleep.
Upon waking again.
The only one left in bed was Isaac himself.
Beside him, there was no one.
He sat up, ruffling his hair.
If it weren’t for a few items in the trash can, he would’ve thought it was just another dream of his.
Getting up, he walked to the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror, laughing at himself mockingly.
Turns out he was naive.
Thinking a single night of passion could lead to some kind of turnaround for him and her.
——
Natalie had a dinner appointment with Nina Abbott, but she felt uncomfortable throughout, especially when reaching for dishes, as raising her arm brought soreness.
And her waist, sitting too long was uncomfortable as well.
These were all results of that night of feigned ignorance and madness.
"Nat, are you okay?"
Nina, noticing her discomfort, expressed concern.
"I’m fine." Natalie set down her chopsticks and explained the purpose of inviting Nina for dinner today.
To say goodbye.
After hearing her words, Nina was taken aback.
"Going abroad? Why so suddenly?" Once she came to, Nina was a bit at a loss, unable to accept it: "When did you decide this?"
"I decided a long time ago." Natalie took a sip of water.
"Then why are you only saying this now?" Nina frowned, "You’ve left me completely in the dark."
"I’m sorry, because it also involves some company matters, some of which are confidential." Natalie sincerely apologized, "I didn’t hide it from you on purpose."
Upon hearing this, Nina forgave her.
"Oh, I’m really just reluctant to let you go."
She got up, sat next to Natalie, and hugged Natalie’s shoulders, "So how long will you be gone? When will you be back?"
"If short, a year; if long, it’s uncertain."
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Nina immediately became worried: "Nat, you’re not planning on not coming back, are you?"
Fortunately, Natalie said she wouldn’t be gone for good, and Nina let out a sigh of relief.
"So when are you leaving?"
"Tomorrow."
"What?!" Nina was shocked once again.
