Deceiving Her Ears: Ignoring Your Call-Chapter 24: Deliberate Humiliation
Jason’s smile gradually froze on his face.
He looked over at Will and saw a smug smile of confidence on his face, as if he was certain about how things would proceed next, determined to win.
Jason said something to his secretary, who looked at him in surprise, seemingly not understanding his decision and finding it very foolish.
The secretary returned to Will and relayed Jason’s words.
Will sneered.
If playing nice didn’t work, then they’d play tough.
He was determined to have his way today!
"There’s a saying you have," Will stood up and spoke one word at a time in broken Chinese: "Refuse a toast, take a penalty drink!"
As he finished speaking, he harshly smashed the wine glass in his hand onto the ground.
Natalie had no idea what was happening, but as soon as she was stunned, Jason tightly gripped her arm.
She instinctively struggled, and Jason gritted his teeth, "It’s all your damn fault! Trouble maker!"
He shielded Natalie behind him and cursed at Will, "Damn foreign thug!"
Will shouted towards the door, and immediately several bodyguards rushed in, advancing toward Natalie and Jason.
The hostesses screamed in terror, huddling together.
The atmosphere was tense, far removed from the previously harmonious environment.
Will lit up a cigar, took a puff, and said to Jason, "Leave her here, you can go."
"Damn it, what is this gibberish!" Jason cursed.
Behind him, Natalie’s cold voice came, "He wants you to leave me here, and you can go."
Jason was actually quite hesitant inside, knowing that he wouldn’t win in a harsh confrontation.
He was afraid of getting beaten up.
But if he left Natalie, neither the Grant nor the Beckett families would let him off, and the old man might even skin him alive.
Jason still stood protecting her.
Surprise flashed in Natalie’s eyes, but she quickly understood that he wasn’t protecting her but was afraid of the Grant and Beckett families.
After all, they were engaged, and he had his eyes on her shares in Beckett Group.
If he really left, everything would be ruined.
"Get that woman over here for me!"
Will commanded.
But earlier, Natalie had quietly noted that the room came with its own restroom.
As soon as Will gave the order, she bolted towards the restroom and locked the door behind her.
"You!"
Jason stared in disbelief, never expecting that he would be abandoned by Natalie just like that.
Once inside the restroom, Natalie’s first action was to call the police, then she tried calling Isaac, but no one answered.
At the same time,
In the hotel room.
Jessica, wearing a bathrobe, picked up the vibrating phone on the bedside table.
The caller ID displayed three characters: "Little Deaf."
She smiled slyly, pressed the reject button on the phone, and placed it back on the bedside table.
The bathroom door opened, and Isaac stepped out with wet short hair, wearing a matching men’s bathrobe.
The robe hung loosely, revealing his alluring collarbone and chest muscles.
He pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, tapped one out, lit it, took a deep drag, and looked over.
Jessica was completely mesmerized by him.
Her eyes were glued to him, unable to look away.
Who said that only beautiful women could make a man’s hormones explode?
A sexy, handsome man could have the same physiological effects on a woman.
Jessica felt her heart pounding wildly, her mouth dry.
Her underwear was already soiled.
She stepped towards Isaac.
Looking at his cold face and those dark, obsidian eyes, her hand instinctively reached out, landing on the robe’s tie around his waist.
Isaac took the cigarette from his mouth with one hand and grasped her wrist with the other.
"What’s the rush?"
Jessica withdrew her hand, her sharp nails trailing down his chest, "I don’t believe you’re not in a hurry."
A faint smile appeared on Isaac’s face, "I’m really not in a hurry."
Jessica pouted and pressed closer, "If you’re not in a hurry, I am."
With that, she stood on tiptoe, impatiently trying to kiss Isaac’s lips.
Isaac turned his head aside, her lips brushing past his face.
Jessica looked confused, "What’s wrong?"
Isaac stepped back, exhaling a smoke ring, "That day, you pushed Natalie into the water, didn’t you?"
Jessica was stunned.
"Natalie said it..."
"Surveillance," Isaac slowly uttered the word.
Jessica’s face darkened as her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
"You saw it, didn’t you?"
Isaac continued to ask.
Jessica was completely dumbfounded.
"You..." she gritted her teeth, "She is your uncle’s fiancée, right?"
Isaac gave a faint smile, sitting down on the bed.
Jessica licked her lips, "It must be Natalie who seduced you. Isaac, don’t you think of your uncle? He is your own uncle; what you’re doing hurts him deeply."
"Ha!"
Isaac couldn’t help but laugh.
He looked at Jessica with mockery in his eyes, "You care so much about the relationship within our family, huh."
"I’m concerned for you," Jessica stepped forward, face sincere, "Isaac, what you’re doing is wrong. You and Natalie, you two are wrong."
Isaac said nothing, his expression giving nothing away.
Jessica continued to persuade, "If you just want a woman, why choose Natalie? Anything she can give, I can too."
She slowly knelt before Isaac, hands placed gently on his knees, caressing them.
"I can give you what she can’t."
With those words, she lowered her head.
"Ouch!"
As soon as Jessica lowered her head, her chin was pinched painfully, making her cry out in pain.
Isaac leaned over, long fingers gripping her chin, eyes sneering in disdain, "Don’t bring your filthy foreign tricks to me. You’re dirtying my sight."
After a pause, he released Jessica, took a tissue to wipe his hands as if he’d touched something dirty.
"How many abortions you’ve had, how many group parties you’ve attended, none of this concerns me."
Jessica’s face turned pale in an instant.
"How... how do you know..."
"You can fool my mom with your act, but not me."
Isaac stood up, "If you come near Natalie again, your parents will receive your abortion records and group party photos."
"Isaac!" Jessica’s eyes turned red, standing up in anger and trembling all over.
She understood.
"Today, you planned all this, didn’t you?"
Inviting her to the hotel on purpose, making her think she had a chance.
It was all to toy with her.
To humiliate her.
In her extreme anger, Jessica laughed bitterly, speaking viciously, "And what about you? Isaac, you slept with your uncle’s fiancée, what are you if not trash?"
Isaac grabbed Jessica’s cheeks, distorting her face with his grip, the corners of his lips lifting in a smile, "I never claimed to be a good person."
Jessica looked at him; he was smiling, yet his grip didn’t loosen.
Fear wrapped around her heart, almost making it burst, her entire body trembling.
Just then, the phone on the bedside table rang.
Isaac picked up the phone and answered it.
Whatever was said on the other end changed his expression.
——
In the hospital.
Footsteps echoed in the corridor.
Natalie turned her head to look.
The first person she saw was Isaac, and the next moment she saw Jessica following behind him.
Her expression instantly turned cold.
