Chapter 53: Siri Lancha 2

At this range, Zaja’s pheromones were an unstoppable force, forcing the vault keeper to open her legs instinctively.

"Fine... I will give you a referral token so you don’t need my name. What you do in Bubble Land is not my concern. Now let me go so I can get the token for you." realizing that if she stayed, she would soon be sucking the saliva of Zaja’s lips or better still kissing his cock, Siri Lancha gave in. She turned her face away so she could no longer see his pinkish lips.

"So fast to give in my lady... it almost makes me sad." the lustful side of Zaja hated to miss a chance to claim a resounding beauty’s body, but he knew what mattered most right now. He did not have time to toy around with the vault keeper... yet.

Egar’s jaws loosened on her helm and her body became untensed as well, letting her move freely.

This was utterly risky. So close, Siri could cut off Zaja’s head in an instant. Of course, Naga or Egar would likely strike first. But that did not stop Siri from thinking about her choices again.

Naga had its beady eyes locked on the bitch, waiting for her to make one lowsy move. She dropped all her dark ideas and gave Zaja a weak smile.

"You have the ability to control Red Veil Arcane Beasts, that means you possess the Shadow Fire. Even the holy family known as the Inca Clan are unable to tame these divine beast, they just use them as wild dogs to be unleashed when destruction is necessary... yet you are able to control them with such ease, I will comply to your demands and try my best to satisfy your needs." Siri spoke softly and humbly trying as much as possible to not enrage Naga.

She outstreched her hand and summoned a small ruby stone earring, placing it in Zaja’s hands and proceeded to bow to him.

Seeing the high ranking member of the theocracy of Ember Crown Empire bow her head and surrender so fully was a sight that Lords, Dukes and priests in the region would pay millions or Urns to see.

Sadly, Zaja could not stay to enjoy it. After attaching the ruby earring to his ear, he stood up. At first, Siri let out a relieved breath. But then she remembered how bad things were and her mind raced.

"Wait! Is that all you desire? I know you are probably better supplied in faith matters than we are, but our country has gathered many treasures over thousands of years. Some might interest you," she said quickly, afraid Zaja would leave their border with the Red Veil Arcane Beasts and the Special Grade weapons he stole.

"Its just that I have already taken the valuable things you had here. Red veil beasts, weapons, crystals, books, healing elixirs, relics and lots more. You were too invested in the beasts and the weapons to even notice that I had taken a whole lot more. You have nothing left to offer me," Zaja answered in a shy, honest voice. He blushed a little as he spoke.

Vault keeper Siri’s mouth fell open. Her eyes shook as she hurried to check the country’s stock records.

Right under their noses, this man had emptied thousands of years of collected, stolen and dug up wealth. And he did it neatly, leaving no damage or even a sign he had been there.

A true master thief.

’How, did he manage it? How did he get past our resounding security protocols? How did he do all that without even being seen?’

"Pleasure doing business with you vault keeper!" Zaja yelled as the vault keeper ran off, he did not care at all. He gave the keeper a fancy bow, then turned to leave.

"no... hold on! This isn’t fair your grace! You can’t leave us like this. How will we go on? At this point you might as well wipe us out completely! There is something... there is still something! The Pope..." Siri cried out as she began running back towards Zaja. But when she got to that part, she stopped herself, staring in shock at what she had almost said.

"The Pope what..." Zaja would not let it go of course, he would always want to know as much information as possible.

The Crimson Deity Vessel zoomed across the hall room and lifted her chin, pressing her again with his sweet pheromones.

"What is the fastest way for one to raise their arcane levels?" Siri asked in a careful voice. Zaja tilted his head with a smile.

"Absorb high grade arcane crystals. The higher the grade, the better." the vessel answered.

"Right. But to the common man, even the lowest arcane crystals are priceless. Where can you find extra high class arcane crystals? You can’t! Either you go far into the bad lands and risk your life for riches, or you go for the next best thing: life force. It can easily turn into arcane units. In theroy, one can drain the life force from any helpless person and change it into arcane energy. But without the right chant or ritual, it often hurts the user and so its was banned completely..."

"But what is wrong with using it on criminals? Expecially the ones that are schedules to be killed... more than a decade ago, when Percival’s pride led us to attack his land, the cruel King formed a Special force of 50,000 tough, stubborn men. He used them as front line shields and city defenders in the worst fight of the war. By the war’s end, only 1000 were left. They all died protecting the capital. They were called the Last Wall." Siri explained. But she didn’t know that when the words ’Last Wall" left her motuh, Zaja’s heart jumped. His eyes shook, and his fists clenched under his red sleeves.

"The kingdom tell its people that the soldiers of the Last Wall all died defending the capital. But the truth is far from what is in the public eye. For a mixed group of mostly common men to cause so much trouble for the motherland’s best troops was a deep shame. The Pope could not allow it, so he made their sacrifices a key part of the peace deal.

Percival could not say no. He personally led the 1,000 survivors of the Last Wall to be captured by the Pope... who sacrificed them all in a ritual and extracted their life force, raising his Arcane energy levels by more than 5,000 units at once!

If you agree to talk with the pope, you can learn this wonderful ritual..." vault keeper Siri Lancha had not finished her plea when Zaja took her shoulder. He brushed them gently as if cleaning lint or dust away, then pulled his hood to show his violet eyes. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

He was already familiar with the abilty of turning life force to Arcane energy, due to the trait his Shadow’s Edge blade came with. However, he wasn’t aware their was a specific ritual to perfom the same fuction.

"So, you’re saying that the 1,000 heroes of the Last Wall did not die protectiong the capital like the stories say, but they were given to the Ember Crown Empire and sacrified by the Pope?"

Are you certain this is a fact?" Zaja asked in a calm, soothing voice that hid the storm of anger growing in his chest.

"Of course. The skulls and bones of their officers still line the Pope’s courtyard. The rest were ground to bone dust and smoked by the elder priests. Among the leaders of the country... it really isn’t a secret. We try to forget such awful tales, but there was a middle aged man with an odd name who kept begging the Pope to spare him for his children. The pain from months of hunger and torture had driven him mad and a drunkard, making him think his children were in danger. For fun, the Pope told him that if he had a fight with a soldier of his army he would spare him for his children. The man did it right away, in his drunken, foolish state and was beaten to death." under the spell of Zaja’s voice, eyes, touch, breath everything about him... the vault keeper Siri Lancha spilled the words, wondering why he cared so much about the old fool and what she regarded as unimportant details.

"Fuck! Arrrgh!" a sharp burning sensation tore through the bitches right hip. With a cry, she looked at it and saw that Naga had bite her, sinking its reduced fangs into her side.

She had been poisoned with the venom the beasts secreted and she immediately went limp and unconcious in Zaja’s arms.

The Crimson Deity Vessel laid her gently on the ground and stood up at once.

His eyes blazed with light of the Shadow Sovereign Flame. With a wave of his hand, the summoning portal opened and both Naga and Egar returned to hibernate.

He then left the scene and moved silently through the country of Ember Crown Empire.
