Elder Earthsaber grinned at Myria. He whipped his sharp earthly saber freely and pointed at the member of the Godwin Family, "Immortal King Voidsmoke. From now on, you're a war prisoner, and the way you will be dealt with will significantly change."

"What!? Elder Earthsaber, you can't do this!"

"Oh, we can." Elder Whitejoy chuckled heartily, "Do you think we're Law Enforcement Elders for nothing?"

"Ridiculous. I came to visit my little cousin and see his growth for my own eyes, but I was only able to see his body-"

"-which you tried to destroy. Correct." Elder Whitejoy interjected and nodded, "You deserve to be locked in a cage for your actions."

"..." Immortal King Voidsmoke's expression was furious as he took a deep breath.

"You'll regret this deeply." He spat out a few words and turned to look away, no longer saying anything.

"We'll see." Elder Whitejoy sneered ever so lightly, "A power that has only surfaced in the last epoch dares to act big? Let's see what they have under their pants to back it up."

"You-"

"Elder Whitejoy, your returning to your rude self."

Elder Frostbite, who had just finished sealing Immortal King Voidsmoke's cultivation base, reminded.

"Oh... I forgot that I was an elder for this short moment. This is embarrassing..."

Elder Whitejoy looked at the other disciples, who appeared stunned at his words, causing him to cringe. It was easier to misunderstand his statement, but he didn't say anything anymore, as trying to explain would only make him more suspicious.

"Ha..ha..."

Davis lightly let out a confused chuckle. These old foggies were actually youthful at heart, wanting some action even at this age. If someone asked him, he would say that they were probably waiting for this kind of chance to appear in their tranquil life.

Sometimes, peace was restricting and mundane. It was unexciting and would dull a person's sharpness. Therefore, a cultivator would naturally try to be in a place where there was violence or balance.

However, the Aurora Cloud Gate wasn't like that. They were peaceful in most cases unless someone entered their Domain, which most don't do, and even if they did, it wasn't the business of Law Enforcement Elders. Although they had a part in it, that department belonged to External Affairs Department.

Only if the outsiders made trouble would the Law Enforcement Department get involved. Therefore, even if Law Enforcement were called into action, the Law Enforcement Elders rarely got opportunities to strut around their might.

This explained their excited expressions to Davis.

Nonetheless, with them totally ignoring Immortal King Voidsmoke's killing intent, the three of them appeared rather heroic in his eyes. He watched Elder Frostbite drag Immortal King Voidsmoke into a separate flying boat that he summoned despite all the curses rained on him.

As expected of Immortal Emperors. They never unleashed their undulations, even as a form of intimidation. In fact, they even suppressed themselves, not launching big attacks in order to not harm the disciples, yet still won with ease.

At this moment, not only did Davis feel a longing to reach such a level exhilarate and motivate him, but he also couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging, causing him to turn and look at Myria, wondering if it was the same for her. If almost everyone in this sect was like them, responsible and fair, he'd be willing to ride or die with them.

"Disciple Myria, you should come with us if you want to live past this day."

Elder Earthsaber warned again, "The Godwin Family will not be able to threaten you inside the sect, but in the Domain, you would still be vulnerable as it would only take for any one of their Immortal Emperors or even Immortal Kings to reap your life."

"I understand."

Myria didn't reject their adamance to follow them back to the sect this time. Previously, the reason was for her to be questioned and investigated, but this time, it was to protect her. There was a vast difference in treatment between the two.

"Naturally, I'll follow her to make sure she truly stays protected."

Elder Earthsaber raised his brows at this purple-robed, blonde-haired immortal who claimed a flashy title such as the Emperor of Death but couldn't even withstand the pressure of an Immortal Emperor, he appeared to almost burst out laughing as his lips pursed and his eyes widened but instead, he heaved a long breath instead.

"Sigh... having a Divergent on board scares this old man, so it should naturally scare others."

He sheathed his saber over his back and shook his head as he left.

"He didn't mean it, did he?"

Davis raised his brows at Myria, causing Myria to nod perfunctorily.

"Seems like it."

"These old foggies playing dumb all day long." Davis spoke loudly as he shook his head, "Seems like this is their favorite way of spending time."

Elder Earthsaber's brows twitched as he couldn't help but feel that was spot-on. However, it couldn't be helped as after getting to his level, there wasn't much to do than act ignorant and teach the arrogant disciples a lesson and shape them into wonderful versions of themselves who will repeat the same thing. However, he didn't say anything and made them board the flying boat.

Soon enough, everyone was transported through the flying boat. In the flying boat, there were naturally many quarters like a mansion. It was flying boat was practically enormous, about three hundred meters long and sixty meters wide.

It was practically brushing past mountains with its big hull, almost as though it was going to ram into them, but Davis could tell that this construct was made out of Immortal Emperor Grade Ore. Unless one was an Immortal Emperor, they could forget about harming this ship, allowing them to have a safe trip.

'Looks like these old foggies came prepared...'

Davis knelt on the floor with one knee, checking the quality of the ore as he glanced up to look at the three elders.

They instructed the disciples to behave properly and not to invoke any trouble during the duration of the flight, warning them of severe consequences that everyone nodded their heads. They left, but Davis was convinced that they brought this ship not on the basis of the retrieval of the surviving and victorious disciples who finished a mission but on the basis of war.

"There's too many formations even in this hall. It's not a mere flying boat. It's a battleship."

Myria off-handedly commented, but as their eyes met, they came to understand that they were thinking about the same thing.

"A powerful Mystic Diviner might've predicted this situation, perhaps very recently."

"Could it be a Guardian?"

"Then they would've noticed the existence of Unfettered Behemoth Ice Fiend, right?"

They exchanged soul transmissions before Davis frowned. The both of them went silent, not knowing the answer. This could be a sheer coincidence or just speak volumes of the ability of the elders. Perhaps, this was one of their personal constructs.

Thinking like this, Davis stood up and turned to look at Myria, his face breaking out into a teasing smile.

"Still. It is quite unexpected that you would show others evidence."

Before, the Myria he knew definitely wouldn't be talking or explaining her problems to anyone, much less to strangers. She was always a lone wolf, carrying the burden all by herself. But now, she was sensible enough to share that she wasn't the wrongdoer and allowed the people to see for themselves.

Back then, she argued with Founder Alstreim Windstorm, willing to burden accusations that wasn't even her fault in the first place, but now, she was willing to explain things. It wasn't that she wasn't smart, but he knew that she had lost faith in humanity to even say the accusations weren't true.

However, things were vastly different now that he couldn't help but feel that he had made a difference.

"What can I say? Your foolishness passed onto me."

"Oh? For some reason, I really like the sound of that."

Davis's eyes lit up as he lightly smiled at her, causing Myria's eyes that squinted into a smile to fade, realizing that she had said something similar to when a couple flirts. She turned to the side and silently scoffed as she shook her head, appearing like she didn't mean that.

However, Davis didn't let up, suddenly moving two steps as he was inching closer to her face.

"Saying this in soul transmission wouldn't sound sincere, but as you asked before, I'll give you a grandchild soon enough. That's why don't die, thinking you can revive after a period of time like it's a natural thing. When your grandchild is born and grown up, I can't say to it that I failed to protect its grandmother, can I?"

He whispered by her ears, not close and not far, but it resounded in Myria's head like thunder, making her fingers twitch ever so lightly as though she was going to make a move.

However, Davis pulled back and gave a thumbs up.

"We're going to earn big, so don't forget Tanya and Stella's share."

His voice echoed loud before he turned around and brought his people away, leaving behind an unresponsive Myria, who still looked straight as a rod. It was unknown how long had passed, but eventually, a hue of red unknowingly climbed all the way to her jade-white ears, her eyes flickering before she turned around and left.
