"Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder, what are you talking about?"

Patriarch Killian Zenflame harrumphed as he waved his hand, "Clearly, they're so blinded by him that they could not even see why they were handed the inheritance from our immortal inheritance masters in the first place, refusing to come back to our powers."

"Don't be ridiculous. If Davis Alstreim is evil, how is a power like the Aurora Cloud Gate accepted him as a true disciple and took him into their wings, even protecting him from us? Remember, the Aurora Cloud Gate has no enmity against us because their power does not exist for the Candidacy. All of their immortals have only three things to do: stay in their Domain, cultivate and ascend!"

Patriarch Klavius Patriarch frustratingly spoke and yelled out, not even realizing one of the terms he brought out, suddenly made the inheritors quiver before continuing on.

"Also, the Emperor of Death is not evil. Although he is quite destructive in his methods from what I have heard about him and threatened to kill us if we tried to take our fourth inheritor away right in front of my face, I can tell that it is because they share a mutual and solid relationship of love. I can tell this because I talked to our fourth inheritor, Isabella Davis. She was articulate and conscious when saying that no one can come between them, and if we do try to force them to separate, I am sure things wouldn't end well for both parties."

He waved his hand and ended his sentence, appearing pretty incensed. However, realizing that he was rude, he wanted to apologize to the inheritors.

"..."

But then, he was stunned to see the expressions of the inheritors were vastly different than before.

"The Aurora Cloud Gate, you say...?" Great Ancestor Rocksunder's eyes gleamed.

"If such a Divergent is in there, then he's white." Great Ancestor Zenflame wryly shook his head before his eyes narrowed, "However, is he a candidate?"

"..."

Not only was Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder dumbfounded by their reaction, but everyone else was also dumbfounded by the looks of their inheritors. It seemed that they suddenly decided that the Emperor of Death was not evil just by hearing that the Aurora Cloud Gate took him under their wings.

Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder came out of his reverie before answering Great Ancestor Zenflame's question.

"No. Davis Alstreim is not a candidate but judging by the information we received from our people in the Aurora Cloud Gate a few days ago, we know that he is extremely strong, strong enough to match the current Great Ancestors in prowess when he reaches the Immortal King Stage."

"Oh? That capable?" Great Ancestor Zenflame raised his brows in surprise.

Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder gravely nodded. In fact, each time he heard the news of Davis's prowess, he was more willing to take a step back. There was a limit to attracting calamity during these unpredictable times, and dealing with a cornered Divergent was one of them, although killing one at that level did give them enough luck to boost their chances.

It was a matter of immense risk that should not be lightly trodden upon.

"But... is the Aurora Cloud Gate the same power that existed in our time?"

"Indeed. Is it the same power...?"

Great Ancestor Rocksunder and Great Ancestor Zenflame looked at each other. In their pupils, their figures didn't reflect each other. Instead, it held the sight of an azure-robed woman petting a nine-tail fox with gentleness and care. The very picture of it gave them a sense of warmth filling their hearts.

The figure reflected in their eyes was none other than Saintess Lunaria. Not only did they know that she was the Founder of the Aurora Cloud Gate, but they knew she was also a heavenly beauty in both character and appearance, causing countless hearts of men to churn with fondness.

It was difficult to even look at her in a hostile manner, and if at all someone had bad intentions for her, others would step forward to eliminate them for her.

In fact, back then, the only reason they were able to 'peacefully' able to enter sleep in the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley was because of her. They knew as the sole individual who brought peace to the world by exchanging a pact with the strongest of them all, an Azure Dragon, that she could be relied upon, especially because she demanded immense respect from each and every other inheritor to exist in this world.

They were no different, wondering if she was still alive, or perhaps, even married or ascended. Their eyes gleamed, a grin breaking out from their faces.

"Well then, let's go confirm that the Aurora Cloud Gate is the same power that we know, shall we?"

"True, nothing is stopping us from going there."

Great Ancestor Rocksunder and Great Ancestor Zenflame agreed without a pause as they nodded their heads.

The second and third inheritors of each power had also heard the legends of the Aurora Cloud Gate and had come into contact with them in a few scenarios, and their impression of that power was always positive.

They were also curious and wanted to see what it had become.

"Let's fly our boats straight into the Aurora Cloud Gate's Domain!"

"What? We can't do that. We have to protect you, Great Ancestor." Patriarch Killian Zenflame rejected, appearing reluctant.

"We, the Earth Dragon Clan, will go right now."

However, Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder laughed, shooting a cold look at Patriarch Killian Zenflame before turning around to leave.

"..."

Patriarch Killian Zenflame glared at him, but then a hand landed on his shoulder.

"Do as I say, or there will be a river of regret if they manage to obtain their inheritor by some chance and not us."

"..."

Patriarch Killian Zenflame was about to say that it was not possible, but he watched Great Ancestor Zenflame pat his shoulder and smile and take off with the other two inheritors.

They flew into the skies, returning to their flying boat along with their group, who seemed to reluctantly follow him.

The Earth Dragon Clan's entourage also returned to their flying boat and flew off.

But for some reason, the Patriarchs and Grand Elders all felt that the objective of going to the Aurora Cloud Gate was somewhat different, causing some of them to scratch their heads, wondering if their mind was playing tricks on them.
