Draconic King of Shadows-Chapter 69: Convergence of Fates
Long blue hair, silver eyes, a small petite figure and a cold air around her. Jane Frost was like an alternate version of Kaiden with similar but different features.
She had this aura of dominance around her, and she had a strong Ice Ability backing it too.
Instead of retreating when her sneak attack failed and she was found out, she decided to confront Kaiden... just because it was Kaiden. There seemed to be something going on between them.
"You little rat!" Jane yelled, her face turning red from anger a little too quickly.
She spread her hands sideways, and a billowing fog of blue and white poured out of her palms, condensing into two long blades of permafrost.
Her sky blue chestplate glowed faintly, and the knee-high metallic boots on her feet did the same. Immediately, ice particles began to form in the air, rotating in a swirl of blue fog that then condensed into blades of ice.
Jane kicked the ground, traveling forward with shocking momentum and reaching Kaiden in mere seconds. However...
"Slow," Kaiden muttered as he watched Jane moving towards him slowly in his perception.
He raised a hand and gripped at seemingly nothing. In the next instant though, a bolt of lightning formed, its body glowing with an incandescent white light.
Jane took one slow step at a time in Kaiden’s sight, and when the time was right, he flung the bolt of lightning at her.
The bolt appeared before Jane instantly, yet failed to do harm to her as a barrier rippled out from her chestplate, blocking the attack and absorbing it.
"I made this equipment specially for you!" Jane said as her boots glowed brighter, and sparks of lightning were seen running over it.
Kaiden’s eyes narrowed. The implications of what he was thinking was serious, and if what he thought was happening was about to go down, then he could be in some trouble.
No sooner had he had this thought when Jane blasted off the ground like a rocket, throwing dust and soil particles behind her.
The three ice blades floating behind her curved in the air, going towards Kaiden’s back and piercing towards him.
Jane attacked from the front, her two blades snaking through the air and cutting at his chest.
Kaiden dashed to the side, leaving tiny snakes of lightning behind.
Lightning wrapped around his hand, and a palm strike sent an orb of lightning towards Jane, whose eyes widened instantly.
’Lightning Bomb!’ She screamed inwardly, recognizing the skill just used.
She hurriedly cast an ice wall, followed by an ice shield. However, the explosion she expected never came.
Regardless, the sudden, sharp pain she felt in her side jolted her awake, and she found herself flying through the air before slamming into a tree.
A pained yelp escaped her mouth, and she saw birds circling her head for a second. She groaned in pain, grimacing as she stood to her feet while holding unto the tree for support.
She found her footing and looked up, just to find a two meters tall Wolf replacing Kaiden.
"BASTARD!!" Jane screamed, her voice echoing throughout the jungle.

Damion took a step over a log and continued on casually.
While others were moving quickly with the aim of getting the Wild Pink Rose and returning as soon as possible, he was nonchalantly following Nyx who was briefing him on some things.
"I’ve noticed something too," Nyx said, his tone becoming more serious.
"What is it?" Damion asked.
"You haven’t used that other aspect of your Shadow powers, why’s that?"
Damion blinked in confusion, his face scrunching up to reveal his ununderstanding. "What aspect?"
Before Nyx could answer, a roar took their attention away, and Damion hurriedly looked up, raising his weapons in defense.
A Wolf of two meters in height stood before Damion. Its body was covered in... feathers, its yellow eyes were bloodshot, and one of its feet was missing.
Damion’s intent pushed out, and a screen showed up in his view.
[Lower Rank 3 Extraterrestrial]
[Lesser ??? Wolf]
"Its weak state makes it weaker than its actual Rank, but what’s this question mark all about?" Damion asked.
Nyx’s eyes darted between the Wolf and Damion, a confused look in them. "What do you mean?" He asked.
Damion paused, his mind seemingly registering something as his brows furrowed. "Are we still on Earth?"
"No," Nyx replied, the skin above his eyes rising like an eyebrow. "Whatever Earth is."
"Where are we then?" Damion asked, his gaze still on the feathered wolf.
"The Convergence Dimension, or how you humans call it... The Tri-Nexus Plane,"
The moment that word was mentioned, the Wolf lunged at Damion, its jaws snapping at him with primal ferocity.
"Even in your injured state, you still have some guts!" Damion commented as he charged forward and clashed with the wolf.
A mini shockwave spread out from the impact, and Damion was flung through the air.
’I shouldn’t have done that,’ he thought, rubbing his wrist gently.
[Shadow Walk has been activated]
Damion appeared by the Wolf’s side, his O-Katana erupting with a swirl of shadows before tearing into its side.
The wolf howled and tried to bite Damion’s head off, but its movement only made the O-Katana tear a long gash in its body, splitting its belly open and making its insides pour out.
The light in its eyes dimmed, before it dropped to the ground, lifeless.
Without wasting another second, Damion cut out its core and absorbed its essence.
The last time he was unable to do so, he regretted it, though it wasn’t his fault.
Remembering Drax, however, his anger rose, and Dragon’s Authority unfolded, bearing down on the surrounding 35 meters.
After checking and making sure he was safe, Damion said. "You were saying something about the Tri-Nexus Plane, or Convergence Dimension, as you call it."
"Yes, this is the point of intersection between the three races vying for supremacy," Nyx replied.
"Supremacy?" Damion iterated.
"The Convergence Dimension is a place where newly found races meet to battle on the orders of the Ancient Ones, and this is the case for many races, so it’s not something new,"
"However, what’s new about this is that a certain race have broken the rules and are fighting for supremacy again... the Demon Race," Nyx said grimly.
"There would be a bloody battle for who will live and who wouldn’t, so the three races are preparing for the inevitable war," Nyx explained. "The races who fail have two option, Surbodinate themselves to the winner... or cease to exist."
