Chapter 111: Where The Hell Did She Go?

Tristan didn’t know what he had been thinking taking her to dance, all he knew was that a sharp possessiveness had surged through him, it had been so strong he couldn’t stop it, and the idea of seeing her in Ryan’s arms had felt so repulsive he had immediately gone to her.

He hadn’t been able to take his eyes off her, not for a single second since he spotted her, and when he had held her close moving to the soft and slow music, a firm desire never to let her go had sharply gripped him inside.

His legs had moved before he could think and without even realizing it, he had pulled her to the dance floor, even with the dim lighting on the dance floor she had looked utterly beautiful, he had studied how a lovely pink color spread across her cheeks as he held her, her hands so soft and boneless in his grip, her waist still fit nicely in his arms, with every breath he took it smelled of her, roses and honey, sweet and fragrant.

Then all of a sudden, he had felt it again, his heart beating wildly for her, anticipating kissing her again, anticipating laying her in his bed and making love to her again, something he hadn’t felt towards another woman in a long time.

He had only come back to his senses when the music stopped, he had pulled himself away from her before he would do something he’d regret. But after a while his eyes had drifted in her direction again and that was when he’d seen tears in her eyes, her pained expression shot a tightening clench to his heart.

He panicked a bit when he saw her rushing away and had quickly gone after her before he could stop himself, pushing past Erica who appeared in front of him without even waiting to hear what she would say. He followed in the direction where he’d seen her last but couldn’t find her.

He looked around the long hallway she had disappeared through but she was nowhere to be seen, frustration suddenly began to well up inside him.

Where could she had disappeared to in a moment?

In his search, he stumbled upon several couples In the corners heatedly making out but there were no signs of her. It continued to eat at him from the inside, the way it looked like she was on the verge of tears that he couldn’t stop searching for her.

Standing in the middle of the empty hallway, he raked a hand through his hair.

’Where the hell did she go?’

At the very end of the hallway, there stood an elevator, if she wasn’t anywhere around here it only meant she had taken the elevator. This was the closest floor to the rooftop, and anyone wanting to be alone would most certainly be found there so Tristan pressed the button to the rooftop and there he found her, standing close to the edge. The wind blew against her hair causing the blonde waves to flutter behind her.

Relief surged into him as he sighted her there, she looked calm even from far away as if the wind was doing her good.

"Don’t tell me you plan to jump." He said, beginning to approach her.

She whirled around, shocked to find him there, but he could see the stain of tears on her face. His hands suddenly balled into fists.

She had been crying.

She quickly swiped her hand over her cheek, wiping off the traces of tears still left on her face. He moved towards her and extended his hand to her, she looked a bit stunned, gazing down at his extended hand before slowly placing her hand in his and he pulled her back from the edge.

"Were you really going to jump?" He asked lightly. Wondering what could be bothering her so much he could feel the heavy weight of it oozing out of her.

"I’m not suicidal." She replied, about to take a step back from him, perhaps to create some distance between them but he held her firmly, her eyes went wide as she looked up at him and he held her gaze.

His hand moved before he could stop himself to wipe the remaining tear stain off her cheek, she seemed to stiffen for a moment but suddenly relaxed slightly as he caressed her face. He felt it again, a skip in his heart beat, it always happened when he was near her, and right now it came with a strong desire to keep her by his side, to cherish her enough she no longer has a reason to shed another tear.

His arm went around her waist and he drew her closer, he had been fighting, always fighting whenever she was around him, putting up a resistance and stopping himself from feeling this way, the resistance crumbled in this moment like a house of cards, he lightly kissed her forehead and he could feel her breath hitch. He slowly placed another kiss on her left cheek, then on the right, and on the tip of her nose as if willing his gentle kisses to heal her, soothe her of whatever pain she hid within.

His lips hovered over her own, moving closer just as she uttered the word, "Don’t..." But it came too late as his mouth covered hers gently.

Celine knew letting him kiss her would break off the restraints she held tightly around her heart, but she hadn’t stopped him when his light kisses rained over her face, she had allowed herself to savor it until his lips came near her own...her words of trying to stop him was buried into his mouth, he’d kissed her anyway, warmly, soft and comforting, making her feel utterly cherished. When he sucked on her lower lip, a tingle spread all across her body.

His mouth left hers slowly but his forehead still laid rested against hers, their noses touching lightly.

Rationality suddenly came back to her in a rush and Celine returned to her senses then quickly pushed back from him. Her heart was thumping furiously in her chest, she needed to get away. But as she walked past him he grabbed her arm, stopping her.

She almost shivered as she felt his arms come around her waist from behind, her breath quickened as she felt her back plastered against his chest...
