Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 112: Far Away From Him
She almost shivered as she felt his arms come around her waist from behind, her breath quickened as she felt her back plastered against his chest, then the warmth of his breath fell on her shoulder as he dropped a kiss on her neck.
"Tristan..." His name slipped out of her mouth in a low whisper, he let her go, slowly turning her around to face him.
Did he not know how tormenting his kisses were? How his touch ignited a flame that should be long dead within her and she hated that she only became this weak in his arms.
"Please...stop." She whispered again, barely audible, but he didn’t let her go, not because he wanted to ignore her protest but because there was no reluctance, fear or repulsion in her as she said those words. He felt how she burned for him, equally as much as he did for her and his mouth trailed up her neck, her chin till he found her lips again, it was hotter, the rapid wind on the rooftop couldn’t extinguish the blazing heat building up between them.
He kissed her with a heated urgency, entwining their mouths in a rhythmic, sensual dance, his arms snaked around her pulling her tightly against his body.
She felt her knees weaken and she grabbed onto him tighter for support, the kiss finally broke when she desperately gasped for air.
Celine shut her eyes tight to try and compose herself.
Why was he doing this to her?
First he said he didn’t want to have anything to do with her again after that night, now he was here taking her breath away with a kiss.
He had someone else...
It made it even more painful and unbearable that he was here with her, making her feel this way when he would be married soon, to someone else.
There was a lot he didn’t know. Things that might make him hate her.
What would happen if he found out she kept his kids despite him telling her he hated commitments, despite telling her never to try to find him again.
Would he resent her for breaking their agreement that night? 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
She knew she would rather keep her children hidden to avoid all these complications.
"Have you really forgotten?" She heard him ask huskily, "Do you really not remember that night?"
Celine stepped out of his arms, gazing steadily at him, "Some things aren’t meant to be remembered. I got the message perfectly when you said you didn’t want to see me again. When you left, I decided to forget everything." She straightened her shoulders with a firm resolve in her blue eyes.
"Mr Grayson, did you conveniently forget that you still have a fiancee waiting to be married to you, is that why you could hold me, kiss me as if I belong to you when you actually belong to someone else?"
His eyes flashed, a look of realization but no regret, "Celine..."
"I hope you stay away from me from now on, I don’t want this to ever repeat itself again." She cut him off, she didn’t want to hear anything else he had to say, it would further complicate things,
"Five years ago I told you I wanted to spend the night with you on a whim, I was hurt so I did something reckless to cover up that pain, we slept together and we both know it was only a one time thing, that’s completely over now. You and I currently have a professional relationship, we only have to work together for a certain period of time so I hope you don’t complicate things any further."
Celine quickly walked away before he could say anything else, there was no need for her to stay and hear coldness in his voice, there was no need for her to stay and hear him tell her the same thing she just told him, that night five years ago meant nothing, it did mean something...but it was best he never knew that even if he knew now that she still remembered, that she had never once forgotten.
Her heart was in a great turmoil and she needed to be somewhere else... anywhere as long as it was far away from him.

He had gotten the message, way too clearly, Celine realized...
The next day, when she had come into the company, he walked past her like air, those hazel eyes didn’t once settle on her.
A few days after that she saw him again at a meeting, he spoke with authority to everyone else but her, he never even addressed her about professional matters. Whatever needed to be brought to her attention, Kaleb would speak to her instead.
It was as If she didn’t exist in his world, or he was choosing not to see her.
That was what she wanted, it was even more than what she wanted...but why did it hurt her this much?
When he did address her, it was with cold precision, straight to the point about work without beating around the bush. He made sure they didn’t have a reason to spend more than a few seconds in the same space, unless for that one time they happened to share an elevator.
It had been as silent as a graveyard, it could be said that they had now fully become strangers.
Celine had requested for this herself, but she had no idea why she would feel an ache in her chest everytime he walked past her like a stranger he never knew. She wasn’t anything to him but a stranger anyway, but that thought pained her heart and she couldn’t control it.
Time had passed faster today, she hadn’t been able to finish all the tasks she had for this week. She used to think that the higher one’s position in a company was, the lesser their workload would be but she was very wrong. During the time she’s been working here she had noticed how harder Tristan worked, harder than any employee in the company.
He never ate during lunch breaks, was constantly attending meetings or buried in his office. He never got off work early, never seemed to have time for anything else in his life but work.
When she had ordered lunch, Celine had overheard Kaleb asking if he would like to have lunch ordered in but he refused.
She had gone to Kaleb and offered to take over the remaining work related to project X for the week, she still wasn’t sure why she did that, perhaps to ease that part of her aching whenever she saw him working too much, she had taken some of his workload to make things easier for him.
Why hadn’t she been able to stop herself?
By the time she wrapped it up, she realized it was already several minutes past ten p.m.
"It’s so late!" She exclaimed, Rachel and the kids would be waiting for her by now, she knew how Leo and Leah would refuse to fall asleep if they hadn’t seen her yet so she quickly arranged her things in her bag and left the office.
Before she walked away, she noticed the lights in Tristan’s office was still turned on, and she could hear a snippet of his voice seemingly speaking to someone over the phone. She wondered why he usually stayed this late at the office, wouldn’t his fiancee be waiting for him at home?
Thinking about him being affectionate with his fiancee brought another ache in her chest, Celine quickly cleared her mind and headed for the elevator.
Coming to the underground parking lot, Celine was heading for her car when she felt as if someone was following her, she frowned a bit and turned around scanning the area but it was silent, there were just a few cars in the space since the majority of the company’s employees had already gone home.
Celine dismissed the feeling as her thinking too much and stepped onto her car, she ignited the engine and drove off but immediately she got the car on the road, that foreboding feeling returned but the roads were clear.
The city lights blurred past as she guided her car through the roads, behind her the skyline of Neville gleamed, a cluster of glass and steel from this far away.
But Immediately she reached the less travelled stretch of harbor road, a couple of bikes roared sharply behind her, following her.
Celine looked through the rearview mirror seeing three bikers dressed in black leather jackets and matching black helmets seemingly hot on her tail.
Who were these people?
