Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World-Chapter 50: An SS-Rank Support in the Party! The Vampire Princess and Her Knight
"The thing about these specific people is that they do not drop any EXP." Caelus clicked his tongue as he looked away from the corpses and eyed Sylvia.
"Are you fine? Your clothes have blood on them," Caelus asked, hurrying over to her side.
Sylvia did not reply. She was still staring at him with an utterly baffled look on her flawless face.
She felt like she was trapped inside a dream. A world where her partner was not constantly looked down upon for his trash affinity. A world where he was terrifyingly strong enough to crush anyone in his path.
She looked at Caelus, who was now standing right in front of her with genuine concern, and slowly pinched her own cheek to make sure she was awake.
Her expression then shifted into an exaggerated pout.
"I am fine, but I am also very sad," she whispered softly, closing the distance between them.
"Caelus, how could you hide your true strength from me?" Sylvia asked, her eyes shimmering with fake tears. "Do you have any idea how many days I worried about your safety?"
Yet, at the exact same time, a heavy wave of relief washed over her delicate features. "But now I know I do not have to worry about you anymore."
Sylvia stared down at the ruined bodies of the two Null players. They had been utterly defeated in less than a single move!
She could not even track Caelus’s movement. It eerily reminded her of the terrifying glitching skill the World Boss Baal had utilized on the broadcast.
Then, realization abruptly crashed into her. Her lips parted into a tiny ’O’ of pure bewilderment.
"Caelus. Tell me... are you by chance Player 555?"
"I guess so," Caelus replied with a helpless sigh. "I am indeed Player 555."
Sylvia licked her lips upon hearing this solid confirmation.
"In such a short amount of time, to have reached such a terrifying state of power. You successfully awakened a hidden, top-tier talent, did you not?" Sylvia tilted her head and smiled knowingly.
Caelus just chuckled. "Do you not remember? I did not awaken any talent according to the academy’s official records."
Sylvia hummed thoughtfully. "No wonder your blood tastes so incredibly amazing. It is widely said that once a vampire reaches a high enough level, the blood of lower-leveled mortals begins to taste sour and foul. But yours always has that fresh, vibrant, and rich taste. I... I should freeze your blood into popsicles! That way, I can always carry a piece of you with me."
"You... you are seriously thinking about that right now?"
Caelus was completely speechless. This girl... why could she never be a bit normal?
But maybe her unhinged personality was exactly a part of her unique charm? Being normal was incredibly boring anyway. He was certainly not normal himself.
Sylvia was full of bright smiles upon hearing his lack of denial.
"I am so glad," she finally added. "I am so incredibly glad that you are Player 555. Now you can officially carry me in the Domain. I will be your delicate princess that you protect and carry around."
"Okay, stop joking around," Caelus sighed. "We still have some important things to do."
"What is that?" Sylvia tilted her head curiously.
"A Double Dungeon," Caelus replied with a sharp smile.
He quickly recounted his strange encounter with the NPC Allstar and the hidden quest he received.
Hearing this, Sylvia immediately became visibly excited.
"An NPC can do that? Then I will participate in the quest too! I will help you. I know many powerful buff skills. In fact, I excel entirely in buffing," Sylvia stated proudly.
"Sure," Caelus nodded.
But he honestly did not know how the system was going to allow her to officially join his exclusive quest.
Just then, the spatial fabric glitched slightly, and a glowing system screen popped directly into Sylvia’s vision.
"Oh?" Sylvia was genuinely surprised.
[Quest Initiated: Clear five dungeons with special requirements.]
[Reward: Blood Race Awakening Stone.]
"Look, Caelus. I got the exact same quest type too," Sylvia smiled.
"Interesting," Caelus noted. "Then, shall we go?"
Sylvia readily nodded.
Caelus did not mind her tagging along at all. The fact that the quest was successfully initiated for her meant something deeper was at play. He was not necessarily sure that this Double Dungeon was going to be free of lethal danger. Having an SS-Rank support was beneficial.
Two was statistically better than one.
On the way to the gate, Sylvia asked a serious question.
"Caelus, if you genuinely possessed this much strength, why did you not reveal it to the academy officials?"
"It is entirely unnecessary. That corrupted school treated me like utter trash. I no longer plan on staying there," Caelus chuckled. "I only remember toxic things about that academy and its arrogant people."
"And besides, I also have another pressing matter to handle," Caelus furrowed his brows. It was the dark matter related to the Ashborn family. He roughly began to explain his situation to her.
"What?" Sylvia wore a stunned expression before becoming agitated just as quickly. "Where are they? I will brutally kill them myself!"
Her eyes instantly turned a glowing, murderous blood-red.
"The Ashborn family," Sylvia muttered the name darkly, her mind clearly calculating lethal scenarios.
"Calm down, Miss Sylvia. Why are you angrier than I am?" Caelus asked with an amused chuckle.
"Because..." Sylvia looked at Caelus with pure bewilderment, as if the answer was incredibly obvious.
"It is fine. I already have a solid plan for them. You should know exactly what the legal penalty for stealing a Martyr’s benefits is in the Solaris Kingdom."
Sylvia nodded slowly. "What I am confused about is... why have you not already reported it to the authorities?"
"The old me was far too naive back then," Caelus replied cryptically. "You were not there at the time since you just recently transferred over."
"But I plan on officially visiting the Player Association very soon to get my formal Player License along with reporting it."
"Then I will absolutely tag along," Sylvia said with a cheerful, yet deadly, smile. "We cannot let the Ashborn family go unpunished."
As soon as she finished speaking, they arrived directly in front of a swirling dimensional fissure.
This specific fissure was the entrance to the Double Dungeon.
"Shall we go?" Caelus glanced at Sylvia.
She swiftly nodded in agreement, and they both stepped forward, descending into the glowing portal together.
[System: Sylvia has joined your party]
Their vision shifted violently. In the very next moment, they stood inside what appeared to be a massive, ancient Roman arena.
The stands were completely empty, but the sandy floor was absolutely packed with towering Goblins wearing heavy gladiator armor.
They all looked incredibly menacing. The instant Sylvia and Caelus appeared in the room, the Goblins’ expressions turned deadly.

"Sylvia," Caelus called out.
Sylvia immediately nodded. "I will buff you!" she said with a cheerful smile.
She stretched her pale arms out playfully. Immediately, a powerful, blood-red domain violently expanded across their starting area.
[System: You have obtained the Origin Blood Blessing.]
[Effect: +5 Combat Score]
[Effect: +5 Critical Hit Scaler.]
[Effect: Every time you take damage, you automatically begin to heal based on a percentage of the damage you deal to the enemy.]
"What the hell?" Caelus looked back at Sylvia in sheer surprise.
She simply gave him a playful wink and blew him a flying kiss.
Shrrrk!
Just then, a massive Gladiator Goblin lunged directly at Caelus with a rusted broadsword. However, before it could even reach him, a terrifying force erupted from Caelus. This time, he did not even bother equipping his dagger. He was going to strictly use his bare fists!
Tremor!
Poison Application!
First Generation: Ignition Spark!
Brrt! Brrt!
Volatile sparks exploded violently across Caelus’s hands. He smiled at Sylvia before instantly pivoting toward the lunging beast. With one flawless, fluid motion, his open palm slammed directly into the Goblin’s armored chest.
Boom!
The creature’s body visibly heated up to a glowing red. In the next millisecond, a massive, fiery explosion tore out from within its body, blasting a hole straight into the high ceiling of the ancient arena.
The arena fell dead silent for a fraction of a second. Then, a deafening, unified screech echoed from all the remaining Gladiator Goblins as they aggressively lunged at him en masse.
"Should I step in?" Sylvia inquired curiously as she casually walked up beside Caelus with her hands politely behind her back. She looked exactly like a flawless beauty taking a relaxing evening stroll, not showing a single ounce of fear.
"No need."
Caelus smiled confidently. "You stay put and save your energy for the Boss."
As he spoke, he violently activated Projection Frame. His physical figure flickered through reality with immense speed. He arrived next to a heavily armored Goblin in less than a second, delivering a lethal, explosive palm strike straight to its heart.
Just as quickly, he formally summoned his retainer. Summoning Prime did not cost any active mana, and the knight currently held eighty percent of his master’s base Combat Score.
Whoosh!
A terrifying, holy power unleashed from the golden knight. Prime swept his massive broadsword in a wide arc, and a lethal wave of golden light tore through the Goblin ranks.
By now, Prime was the exact same level as him, Level 7, simply because Caelus had a massive stockpile of beast materials lying in his inventory to upgrade him. The knight now held a solid Combat Score of 40. With Sylvia’s supreme buff actively taking effect, his base score increased by 5, with a massive critical multiplier waiting to trigger.
Caelus shot high into the air with explosive momentum. With a deafening Thunderclap, the entire stone arena shook violently, forcing the front line of Goblins to bounce backward in a heavy stun.
"Stay back, Sylvia," Caelus ordered.
Sylvia complied immediately, taking several steps back. In the following instant, condensed golden-black lightning began to violently converge around Caelus’s raised hands.
He pumped more raw mana into the skill. Once. Twice. Thrice. After the third violent rotation, a terrifying, massive sphere of compressed lightning hovered directly above him. For a split moment, Caelus’s entire body was completely wreathed in wild lightning, thunderous outlines tracing his body frame.
He was pushing his Lightning Domain talent to full throttle!
"Lightning Compressed Shot!"
The exact instant his words fell, the massive sphere dropped.
Exactly like a localized nuke, the blinding explosion tore through the arena. The shockwave violently obliterated the entire frontline of Gladiator Goblins, turning them into ash.
