As soon as the last common goblin fell to the floor, the ancient arena shook violently. A heavy iron gate on the far side of the colosseum slowly ground open.

From the absolute darkness of the tunnel, a towering goblin with glowing blood-red eyes stepped out. It radiated a terrifying, suffocating intent.

Sylvia and Caelus eyed each other and nodded firmly.

The giant goblin roared, sending a visible, terrifying shockwave directly toward their position.

"Huh?" Caelus was genuinely stunned upon seeing the floating numbers.

"Its Combat Score is at 65?" Sylvia frowned deeply.

"Be careful!" Caelus exclaimed. He shot toward Sylvia, wrapped his arm tightly around her waist, and violently activated Projection Frame. They blurred out of existence just in the nick of time.

A massive, blinding explosion rang out.

The blast radius was absolutely immense, engulfing nearly the entire arena floor in scorching fire and lightning.

Caelus had shielded Sylvia with his own body. At the exact spot where they had been standing seconds prior, a massive, molten crater now smoked.

"What just happened?" Sylvia asked from within Caelus’s arms, her brow furrowed.

"It used a Mythical skill," Caelus muttered, his draconic eyes locking onto the boss.

[Skill: Plasma Nuke (Mythical) - Thunder and Fire are combined to create volatile plasma.]

"What? A Mythical skill?" Sylvia was completely stunned.

How could a Mythical skill spawn in a standard Double Dungeon? A Combat Score of 65 and a Mythical area-of-effect attack was absolutely not normal for a beginner zone!

"I might know exactly why," Caelus said softly as his eyes scrolled further down the monster’s system panel.

The Middle Expanse. The World Boss Baal was also from there. Just what exactly was the Middle Expanse, and why were the beings originating from it so terrifyingly strong?

However, now was not the time to ponder cosmic mysteries. It was time to eliminate this monster!

"Sylvia. You are fine, right?"

"Thanks to you," Sylvia whispered, looking at Caelus’s slightly scorched back.

"Good. Then get ready. This boss is on a completely different level. You could even consider it a miniature Raid Boss. If we eliminate it, we will definitely get some supreme loot."

Caelus had a strong feeling this was no mere coincidence. He had stopped believing in coincidences entirely since awakening as a Chaos Perception Dragon. He definitely needed to have a long talk with that NPC Allstar later.

Caelus’s figure blasted forward like a cannonball.

Seeing him move, Sylvia immediately reacted. Blood erupted from her like a violent tidal wave, condensing rapidly into a massive spear that shot directly toward the boss.

The poison application burst violently from his Tempest Dagger as he plunged the blade deep into the boss’s thick skin. The Goblin King shrieked in agony. But the total health it lost was barely ten points.

The King screamed and swung its massive broadsword. A blinding plasma flare formed along the blade and shot directly toward Caelus.

Caelus simply sneered and dodged it effortlessly. With Sylvia’s supreme buff, his own Tremor amplification, and the Thunderclap debuff applied to the enemy, his effective Combat Score was pushed past sixty.

But his Projection Frame allowed him to physically move at six times his normal speed. To the boss, Caelus was nothing more than an untrackable, teleporting shadow!

Golden-black lightning cracked as Caelus closed in again, driving his knee brutally into the monster’s jaw.

He was rapidly applying debuffs and constantly healing his scorched back using Sylvia’s life-steal blessing.

The exact instant he saw the final prompt, Caelus smiled.

His eyes glowed with pure excitement as he abandoned all defense and lunged directly into the monster’s guard. It was finally time to fully test his Abyssal Devourer’s endless stamina!

His dagger slashed at the boss without a single fraction of a pause. He did not give the massive Goblin a single second to breathe. His white hair stood up as golden lightning continuously crackled around him. He used Projection Frame to move with godlike speed, teleporting from the monster’s blind spot to its chest, then to its back.

Dozens of deep, bleeding injuries began to rapidly form across the boss’s massive body as Caelus constantly activated his eyes to see its weak point and deal critical damage.

Sylvia, who was just about to rush in to assist, completely froze.

"Just what is he?" Sylvia whispered in sheer bewilderment.

Caelus was moving exactly like a relentless, time-dilated machine. The boss simply could not match his terrifying speed. While the monster grew increasingly sluggish from the Poison and Thunderclap debuffs, Caelus did not slow down even a fraction of a second. He never got tired. He never paused for breath. It was as if his stamina pool was completely infinite!

[System: You have successfully killed a Lord-Level Monster.]

[System: You have received a Level Fragment, which has been split evenly into two.]

[System: Sylvia has received a Half-Level Fragment.]

A brilliant golden light shone over Sylvia the moment the massive beast collapsed.

"Oh?" Caelus, who had just finished brutally bullying the Lord-type monster, turned to look at her. "You leveled up?"

"Yeah, I had a half Level Fragment stored up prior to this," Sylvia said with a bright, happy smile.

It had been a very long time since she felt this genuinely happy. Leveling up alongside Caelus and directly boosting his overwhelming power was incredibly satisfying to her.

Just then, a clear notification rang out.

Seeing this, they both looked at each other and chuckled.

"Let us not waste any more time. We need to drag those unconscious students outside and then dive straight back into the dungeons," Caelus said.

Sylvia nodded in agreement. But before leaving the arena, Caelus crouched down to extract his hard-earned loot.

She lunged forward, wrapping her arms tightly around Caelus, and sank her fangs directly into his neck.

"..." Caelus almost flinched.

Her soft body was practically clinging to him. It was undeniably his first time getting hugged by a woman quite like this in the middle of a blood-soaked dungeon.

Seeing the numbers update, Caelus remained silent. It seemed his unique SSS-Rank extraction talent perfectly copied the essence rather than physically stealing it from the monster. On the way out, Julian briefly woke up and shot Caelus a confused, fearful glance, but Caelus ignored him completely.

Both he and Sylvia immediately went back to dungeon hunting.

Once they entered the second double dungeon, they realized the layout was identical to the previous Double Dungeon. But this time, the Lord-type monster was a corrupted armored elephant. It fell just as quickly to Caelus’s relentless assault.

They extracted the essence, left the dungeon, and dove straight into the third. Then the fourth.

The grueling, high-speed grind yielded massive results.

Eventually, they breached the fifth and final dungeon in less than an hour. Every single boss shared highly similar, exaggerated stats that scaled aggressively with the dungeon tier.

However, unlike the first one, they all had kind of useless skills, they were not as good as the Mythical Skill he got. But he managed to extract essence from them.
