Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy-Chapter 3445: Replacement

Whisker stared at the green lotus from the shore, standing atop Alex’s shoulders. "I have to cultivate in there?" he asked.

"Yes," Alex explained. "Just go in and cultivate for a month. The flower will improve your soul while you cultivate, so let it do that."

Whisker nodded. "Wasn’t this supposed to be for you, brother?" he asked.

"It was, but it seems I can’t use it. So you’ll have to use it instead," Alex said. "Don’t think too much about it and just start. I’ll let the others know what you’re doing."

Whisker nodded. "I’ll start right away then."

Whisker was taken to the lotus by the staff from earlier, who helped him get inside the petals of the flower. As Whisker began cultivating, the lotus began surrounding him and enveloped him entirely.

Soon, a cool energy began penetrating his body, reaching deep into his soul. Not long after that, Whisker could feel the subtle changes in his soul as the sea inside of his Spiritual sea churned as everything began to get stronger and expand at a tiny, but uniform speed.

By the time he finished cultivating, it will have improved a respectable amount.

On the shore, Alex could feel what Whisker felt and knew it was working. He let the Beast God know, who nodded as she too watched the flower intently.

"So the issue really was just with you," she said in the end with a half-grin on her face. "You had us worried for a while."

Alex gave a half smile in apology.

"Well, this also means that you are correct regarding what you said," the Beast God said. "Your soul is indeed as strong as it can be. You have no use for these lotuses."

Alex nodded.

"Do you wish your other two beasts to use the other lotuses?" the Beast God asked. "They should be ready to use already, so we can finish it all in a month’s time instead of having to wait for all 3 months."

"Oh? Can I?" Alex asked.

The Beast God nodded.

Alex was about to accept, but he stopped himself. He thought for a moment and after a short pause, he shook his head. "No, I’ll let Whisker use all three of them."

"Really?" the Beast God asked, quite surprised by Alex’s response. "Your other two beasts are Heavenly beasts, while this is merely just a Seeking Mouse that can cultivate. May I ask why you have decided to give it all to him?"

"Whisker deserves it, and more importantly, he needs it more," Alex said.

"He needs it?" the Beast God asked, curious.

"He deals with things that require a stronger soul and spiritual sense," Alex said. "Were you aware that he is an Alchemist?" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"That little mouse?" the Beast God asked as she raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Really?"

Alex nodded. "Not only is he an Alchemist, he’s quite a good one too."

"How good?" the Beast God asked.

Alex smiled. "I could’ve let him make all the pills for the disciples of your palace and you wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference."

The Beast God clearly didn’t believe him. "Is that so?"

"Don’t look down on him just because he’s a Seeking Mouse, senior," Alex said. "He’s my Seeking Mouse. He’s been learning Alchemy alongside me for as long as he’s been alive. His cultivation base, the spiritual energy, and his talent have held him back until now."

"But what he lacks in talent, he makes up in diligence and practice. He has come across a good cultivation technique recently, so he will soon make up for his cultivation base as well. And you have given him the chance to make up for his spiritual energy. He won’t need my name to be recognized in the future."

The Beast God could hardly react to Alex’s words. She could only nod and act as though she accepted what he said, even though she clearly didn’t. "I look forward to it then," she said in the end and left.

Bladedance stood by Alex, a subtle smile on her face.

"Just an alchemist, huh?"

"Well, I can’t go telling them everything," Alex said with a grin.

Whisker was more than just an alchemist. He was also a master runesmith now after learning from Battlesage for centuries. Just as well, he was also talented in using arrays. More than that though, his improvement as a battle master was one that hadn’t been explored just yet.

He had been training every opportunity he got with the Battle Mimicry artifact he received from the War God, and at this point, he was likely better than Alex when it came to handling battles in war.

Alex would still beat him in situations when there were too many to handle, and that was entirely due to Whisker’s weak spiritual energy. That was why he wanted to help him improve, even if that meant taking away that opportunity from Pearl and Scarlet.

’I’ll let them use the Spirit Junction Pill if they want to later on,’ Alex thought.

The Beast God suggested that they leave the shore and go to a courtyard nearby. There was no point in waiting here for Whisker as it would take an entire month. They could meet him once the month ended.

Bladedance nodded and nudged Alex to move.

Alex accepted as well, and looked toward the Sacred Jade Lotus flower one last time to feel how it was improving Whisker. It wasn’t a lot, but there was a definite improvement.

If not for his own improvement, he would’ve been there right now. Hell had been important in his journey as a cultivator for that reason.

’Hmm, wait a second,’ Alex thought. ’That’s not the only place where my spiritual energy improved, was it? My spiritual sea doubled upon my escape from Hell.’

Since the improvement wasn’t something Alex had done himself, it had slipped his mind. But now that he thought about it, he had indeed improved his spiritual sea, and thus his soul, while he was lost for 50 years.

"Huh. I wonder what helped me there."
