Seeing Liora’s stern expression and recalling the sense of threat that the power of Nothingness had previously brought him, the Demon God tended to believe her words.

Liora and the Demon God continuously went back and forth, bartering over the number of Wisps of Time and the materials that the latter had to fork out.

This scene looked bizarre considering their status and strength.

But in fact, beings on their level truly valued their own interests.

No one would take a step back for no reason.

They would fight for even the slightest hint of benefit, much less for a precious and rare treasure like a Wisp of Time.

In the end, the two reached an agreement after a while.

"There’s no danger. I only need you to pour some of that power into the seal."

"Not much of it is required. Just enough to corrupt the seal and help me break out.", he said and guided Liora on how to achieve this.

Liora followed his instructions. The power of Nothingness emerged and poured into the seal.

The eerie gray substance bypassed the outer layer and flowed deeper, seemingly targeting the core of the seal.

A faint cracking sound echoed in Liora’s ears, as if a piece of glass was starting to shatter.

Seconds passed as the power of Nothingness continued to flow into the seal.

Liora’s face gradually lost its color while her aura fluctuated violently, like a candle that was about to go out.

Just when it seemed that she would collapse to the ground, the Demon God finally spoke: 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"Okay. That’s enough."

"The inner layer of the seal has been broken. I only need to spend some time to corrupt the rest of the seal before I can break free.", he said.

Hearing this, Liora stopped supplying the seal with the power of Nothingness.

Her body trembled as she rushed back, opening some distance between her and the seal.

"The deal has been completed, and we’ve both obtained what we wished for. I won’t keep you busy any longer."

"I hope that Your Excellency will soon emerge from the seal and return to the real world.", Liora said, and then soared into the sky without hesitation.

She didn’t take a look behind her nor did she observe the seal’s state, choosing to leave as fast as she could.

Within the seal, the Demon God felt speechless.

He stared at Liora’s back with faint doubt, secretly estimating how heavy a toll the loss of the power of Nothingness had taken on her.

Although he knew that not much of it had been used, it was normal for such a high-level power to require a high price to pay.

"Although it’s not much, it should be more than enough. It’s worth it trading for those things.", the Demon God’s words reverberated through the seal.

In fact, if Liora had taken the initiative to step into the seal, she would have discovered that the Demon God was nowhere to be seen.

Only a small light was confined within the dark space, shining with a colorful brilliance.

Part of the light was golden, while the other part was divided into a bloody crimson and a murky black color.

As time passed, the latter two colors slowly spread. It seemed as if their goal was to wipe out the golden part.

"Fortunately, the destined person arrived just at the right time. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to suppress their influence for any longer.", the Demon God whispered, and a torrent of gray substances appeared before the light.

If Liora were here, she would recognize that these gray substances were the power of Nothingness she had just poured into the seal.

The Demon God struggled to control them and let them wash over the colorful light.

Instantly, the crimson and black colors began to retreat.

The light fluctuated and looked ready to go out, but its aura grew stronger rather than weakening.

"It’s almost time. I should be able to leave this damned place very soon.", the Demon God spoke as the two colors were slowly wiped away under his gaze.

He continued manipulating the power of Nothingness, while part of his attention fell at the edge of the dark space.

Where the ordinary eye could not see, three large pools of blood existed.

A giant corpse was floating in each of them, as the blood slowly seeped into the bodies and worked to nourish them.

"Three Demon Sovereigns. Coupled with my own power, everything should work out fine."
