Two months ago, just a week after the incident with the sudden ominous fissure in the skies that resulted in the outpour of the Inferno Dragons that caused few casualties, many injuries and lots of destroyed infrastructure, Xavier Chrono, Head Dean of Arcana Academy, locked down the prestigious Arcana Academy until further notice.

Why he had done this, no one really knew.

But Aiden and Flynn, already informed by Xavier that the irregular fissures were getting more and more unpredictable due to obvious reasons (the incoming invasion of the Demon King), he had to close down the Academy to prevent as much casualties as he possibly could.

Despite being immensely powerful, Xavier unfortunately, couldn’t be everywhere at the same time, much less an academy where multiple innocent students were gathered.

Perfectly understanding where he was coming from though, the brothers, decided it was high time they shared most of what they knew with other people asides their family who were wise enough to do what was best for Arcanora and also raise the public’s awareness on the incoming invasion.

Due to that decision of theirs, a few days before they left for their training, they requested for a private meeting with King Arthur and Julius Hargreaves… the only two SSS-rankers in all of Arcanora.

Although they did meet Adrian and Beatrice, along with Queen Hela when they finally made their way over to their castle, it was only for a brief moment as they had a sacrosanct matter to take care of.

This did make the ever-shrewd Adrian Adencia very curious but he figured he would found out sooner rather than later anyway.

If his father didn’t inform him, he knew Aiden and Flynn would in due time.

During the meeting though, both King and Tower Executive, couldn’t believe their ears as Aiden and Flynn, shared the important events that would happen pertaining to the sudden fissures over the course of the next few months, along with the eventual arrival of Beelzebub.

Arthur and Julius, both of whom were constantly hit back to back with earth-shattering revelations, frequently glanced over to Leopold who was also with them during the sharing process.

To that, the Duke would casually nod his head in agreement, further making both individuals wipe a cold sweat from their foreheads as they kept listening with laser-focused attention.

Usually, it would’ve been absurd for two individuals of such high standing to even believe a single word coming out of the youths’ mouths but, considering how they had been at the center of every major event for the past two years, there was a lot of weight to their words even if it seemed so far out of place.

Eventually, after the youths were done, as if to further add truth to their words, the Valkyries, along with Xavier, suddenly appeared out of thin air, confirming everything they had just said.

No sooner had that happened, the King, along with Julius, instantly began making plans and countermeasures on what to do, also dragging Leopold into the entire process.

As a result, not even a week had passed before the three parties, in cooperation with multiple media companies, called for a public conference.

This conference, was one that was held between all five nations of the world.

During the conference, a lot of crucial information was shared, both to the world in a real-time broadcast and to the people in the conference room.

Although not everything was completely broadcasted, most of the conference was.

First, was the location of almost all dark guilds all over Arcanora, promptly resulting in the rapid culling of them in the span of a month after the conference.

This was information that was privately shared before the actual live broadcast itself began.

The second issue however, was one that was addressed publicly.

This was the issue of the irregular fissures that had suddenly began popping up all over Arcanora, all of which began bringing creatures humans had always thought of as myths and fairytales.

But that wasn’t the problem.

The main issue with the disturbing situation, was how the different races, from vampires, to orcs and also elves, all had a single goal in common.

Killing the humans.

Anywhere they appeared or spawned at, they would mercilessly slaughter any humans within sight.

Communication was also out of the question as even though they could seemingly understand the things the humans were trying to say to them, they would still end up killing them off anyway.

It was almost as if they were of a hive mind and without any other purpose asides massacring the human race.

As a result, an order was passed during that same conference for not just on-field Tower rankers, but all rankers in general who were capable, to kill the different races on sight, resulting in more rankers being alert and more rankers from the Tower stationed all over the world.

And third, was how, they should consider, and adequately prepare for the possible return of the Demon King… something they had never expected to ever have to deal with again.

This was one that caused a genuine uproar all over the world as citizens of the respective nations either called bullshit and propaganda, went into a state of restlessness and asked for more proof, or, simply accepted their fate and began preparing themselves for the inevitable.

Considering all that was currently happening with the sudden irregular fissures and new races coming to light, a good percentage of the world’s citizens, believed the point that was made at the conference was right and they really should spare no efforts to prepare for an all-out war.

As all the information regarding why this was now something they should be prepared for was shared, the representatives of the other nations of the world, wondered where the Nation of Arcadia had gotten all this information from.

However, having replied that they couldn’t give out that information, much to a lot of disappointment and a few backlashes here and there from various citizens all over the world, the conference had continued on until every possible matter was addressed.

Now, a month and a few weeks later, more than half of the world’s population, was inevitably convinced that truly, the invasion of the Demon King as they had read in history books, was really going to end up happening.

Nature is rich in mana.

At the same time, although unattainable for most people, nature is also rich in Aether and Prana, though prana is more focused on the energy in the soul.

This exact reason was why a few nations amongst the five, especially Qilos Republic, a nation where it always snowed all year round, was rich in Aether and Prana despite them being mostly oblivious to it.

But that wasn’t the only thing the people of Qilos Republic were oblivious to.

Far off the coast of the icy waters of their nation, hidden away with a spell Xavier had casted and wiped away from the memories of the world’s inhabitants, was a wintery island.

The Island itself, often referred to as The Frontlines by the Valkyries, was exceptionally vast.

In addition to that, a certain tribe of blue-haired people lived there, well-versed in the art of using Prana.

This was where Evie Lockhart, the blue-haired lady whom was an Obelisk Arm, lived and grew up.

In this same place, Ashildr had also become their de-facto leader, guiding the tribe and managing the multiple fissures that always appeared all year round due to the potent Aether in the air.

If not managed, the fissures would ultimately end up becoming detrimental to the whole of Arcanora if they were allowed to run rampant.

At the same time, this secluded area, would be the very first place the main forces of the Demon King would land when they finally forced their way into Arcanora.

As a result, it needed to be consistently watched as in the other iterations, the Demons had used it as their base of operations when they invaded Arcanora.

All that aside though, currently standing at the beach on the tail ends of the Island, the frosty weather freezing the water over and turning it into glacial ice, all four Valkyries conversed between themselves.

"How long do you think they’ll last this time?" Senya asked, a hint of worry in her grey eyes.

"Hmm… Since they lasted for 12 hours the last time, they might want to double it…" Ashildr responded casually.

"I called it, didn’t I? Those two are as insane as their parents" Sigrun shook her head in resignation.

Morrigan on the other hand, despite not saying anything, was lightly tapping her foot on the ground.

Her sisters whom had noticed this, realized she was probably even more worried than Senya.

However, since they knew this was her personality, they decided not to say anything and just waited, all whilst staring at the vast sea of glacial ice.

As they did this though, the two youths whom they were worried over, casually sat still at the bed of the frozen water, their breathing stable as they maintained temporal stasis.

As Aiden’s hair turned completely white, every single strand glowing with luminescence, Flynn, despite his eyes being gently closed, had the glowing ring of blue on the edges of his irises, brightly glow.

Yes.

Aiden and Flynn were training deep underwater, encased in chilly, frosty-cold, glacial ice.
