The environment on Blue Star had grown increasingly harsh. After numerous natural and man-made disasters, humanity’s survival was already precarious. Eventually, a crisis erupted on Earth that threatened to wipe out the entire human race. In response, scientists of that era created a new species—the Beastmen—by fusing human and animal genes. They had hoped these brave, fierce, and immensely powerful Beastman Warriors could fend off the disaster, but tragically, humanity failed to avert its own extinction.

The genetically evolved Beastmen inherited human civilization and technology. They migrated away from Earth, which had become a barren wasteland, and found another resource-rich, habitable planet: Reboot Star, the very world she now stood on.

As for pure-blooded humans, they had long since gone extinct, becoming the "ancient humans" that existed only in history books.

’They won’t slice me up for research, will they?’

Sang Luo took a deep breath, but her mind was in turmoil and refused to settle. She decided she had to hide her identity. No longer in the mood to read, and seeing it was getting late, she went to the bathroom to take a shower.
