Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!-Chapter 132: SSR Tier Class Scroll, A Wealthy Newbie
"Hmph, there are so many people today. I’ll give you a favor. I’ll teach you a lesson in the new student test," Kent said with a serious tone, pretending to be uninterested in fighting.
New student test?
George was confused. Did this guy actually get into the Obsidian Academy?
That didn’t make sense. The Obsidian Academy’s entrance exam was extremely strict. Even with connections, it was almost impossible. And Taylor family wasn’t even worth anything.
George didn’t know that the new student test was organized by several schools in the Sovereign City, including the Obsidian Academy and the Mirror Academy.
It was a competition between the top schools.
"Hmph, you talk so nicely, but are you actually scared?" Lily sneered, clearly looking down on Kent’s attitude.
"Kent, go ahead and fight. I want to see what this guy is made of," one of the guys nearby said, clearly not liking George.
Kent sighed.
Was he not wanting to fight? No, he just wasn’t a match. And if his class disappearing got out, he might be kicked out of the academy and the guild.
"Never mind. We’re all in the Sovereign City. We’ll see each other every day. It’s better to stay friendly. Let’s pick some weapons and gear. My master gave me a reward. You can take anything you like, I’ll pay for it." Kent led his group toward the class changer guild.
"That’s too much, right?" The others looked happy, even more impressed with Kent.
Kind, polite, and respectful to them.
Lily watched as the group entered the guild and asked George, "George, why is Kent acting so nice all of a sudden? He’s being so polite."
George smirked. "His class is gone."
"Class gone? How is that possible?" Lily was confused. She had never heard of a class disappearing on its own.
She was about to ask more, but saw George already walking into the guild and hurried after him.
"Do you have an SSR-tier class change scroll here?" Kent walked to the class scroll section and asked curiously.
Lily, who had just entered, felt even more confused. Had this guy’s Blazing Angel knight class really disappeared? Or had he chosen a second class?
The receptionist smiled. "There’s one. But it’s not cheap. 130 billion."
Only 130 billion?
Kent was surprised. Normally, an SSR-tier class change scroll cost over 500 billion, and it was hard to even find one for sale.
Kent hesitated and asked, "What class is it? Is there anything special about it?"
He had been looking for class scrolls for days. The strongest he had found was an SS tier. The Blazing Angel knight had dropped to an ordinary SS tier, and he wasn’t happy about it. That’s why he hadn’t changed class yet.
Now, he had finally found an SSR-tier class change scroll.
The receptionist smiled even wider and immediately pulled up a screen, explaining, "This is also a rare class. SSR-tier Martial Saint, from the Ancient Martial Arts system. It combines strength and body power, mixing the best of warriors and knights."
The receptionist explained in detail.
George’s eyes lit up. This was the exact class he wanted.
He had already confirmed with Eliex that after fusing Keeper and Frost Mage attributes, it became a new class. That meant he could open another class.
He still had a Skybinder Mage class scroll, but he now wanted a close-range class.
This Martial Saint class looked perfect.
"This class change scroll I want," George stepped forward and said calmly.
The server, who was still explaining, was slightly shocked. When did this class scroll become so popular?
The Martial Saint class was strong, combining warrior and knight traits. But because of its special features, it could only train in Ancient Martial Arts. The high damage of warriors and the high defense of knights were both a little weak. Few people chose it. That was why the class was SSR tier but so cheap.
The server still kept her professional smile and said, "Sorry, this class scroll was already looked at by this guest first."
"Not bad," Kent was still a little hesitant, but when he heard George wanted the scroll, he bit his lip and decided to buy it.
He didn’t like the Martial Saint class, but he could just buy it and keep it.
Kent was about to take out his money when George suddenly said, "I’ll pay 150 billion."
He sounded like a real rich guy.
Gulp!
The server swallowed hard. Her eyes sparkled. At her level, selling this item would give her 1% commission. It didn’t sound like much, but 150 billion meant 1.5 billion. No one could stay calm.
But she still had her professional ethics. She said, "Sorry, sir. This guest looked at it first. If he doesn’t want it, you can have it."
She said that to make Kent give up on his own.
"I want it!"
Kent said firmly.
"200 billion," George said again, calm as ever, like he was just throwing money around.
"George, do you think you’re the only one with money? I’ll pay 210 billion!" Kent bit his lip and shouted.
He had gotten a lot of rewards from entering the Mirror Academy, and his father also supported him. He didn’t need to say how much he had, but 500 billion was definitely possible.
But this money was for a class change scroll. The Martial Saint class was also SSR tier, but he didn’t really like it.
The server nearby looked at the two with bright eyes, full of joy she couldn’t hide.
She looked at the two men like they were two gods of money.
"300 billion," George said again, not showing any emotion. To him, money was just a number.
There were many guests in the class changer guild. They were all drawn over by the noise, talking and gossiping.
"300 billion? Where did this rich guy come from?"
"Is it for that Martial Saint class change scroll? I looked at it. It’s said to be SSR tier, but it’s not much better than SS tier."
"Could it have hidden effects?"
"Come on, if it had hidden effects, wouldn’t the class changer guild notice?"
People were all talking, looking at George like he was a fool, a rich guy.
Lily heard the comments around her and quietly pulled George’s sleeve, whispering, "George, is this okay?"
"It’s fine," George said, not caring at all. He looked at Kent with a challenge in his eyes.
Lily’s eyes moved, and she understood. She sneered, "Mr. Kent, are you not able to pay this much? Then we’ll take it."
She was trying to push Kent to raise the price. If he did, she would do everything to stop George.
"Damn it!"
Kent shouted in anger. He had never been treated like that before. He bit his lip and was about to raise the price.
"Kent, no. This scroll isn’t worth that much. If this guy wants it, just give it to him," one of the people next to him said, trying to stop him.
Kent heard the words and quickly calmed down.
Right, he only had 500 billion on him. Spending 300 billion on a trash class scroll? Only a fool would do that.
A smile spread across his face. He said calmly, "If you like it so much, I’ll just give it to you. I’m sure 300 billion is just a drop in the bucket for you."
"Indeed," George still smiled, and took out his bank card, handing it to the server.
"Wait a second, sir," the server said, her body trembling with excitement. Even her hands were a little shaky. This was 300 million commission after all. How could she stay calm?
"Hey, Mr. George, why didn’t you say hello?" A surprised voice came from the crowd. Carol pushed through and ran in.
George nodded and said, "Just buying something."
"Mr. George, what did you pick out?" Carol had been busy earlier and just got back. She saw all the people gathered but didn’t know what had happened.
"This class scroll," George pointed to the scroll in the glass case.
"Oh, that one," Carol looked a little nervous. She had expected George to pick out something nice, and she planned to pay for it. She could even cover up to 10 billion.
But this scroll was worth 130 billion. Even with her position, she wasn’t bold enough to decide on her own.
"Go get the manager. Tell him Mr. George is here," Carol said, and took the bank card from the server’s hands.
"Uh?" The server was stunned, her eyes still fixed on the card in Carol’s hand, like a duck that flew away just when she thought it was hers.
She sighed and made a polite bow before running upstairs.
Others saw this and looked confused. They started guessing who George was. Even the staff at the class changer guild were being polite.
After all, this was the headquarters of the class changer guild in the Sovereign City. It wasn’t just a local branch.
Kent saw Carol arrive and felt something was wrong.
The manager here was Anna, and he knew that woman had a close relationship with George. In Aurion City, she even got herself banned just for George.
Not long after, Anna rushed in. She saw the crowd and said angrily, "What are you all doing here? Get out!"
The crowd scattered. She then looked at George and said, a little sad, "Mr. George, you didn’t even say you were coming. Nadia, bring out that class scroll."
"Sure, sure." The server hurried to open the glass case and handed the scroll to Anna, reluctantly.
It was over. The manager had arrived, and the scroll would definitely be sold at the listed price.
But Anna’s next words made her heart drop to the floor.
"This scroll is yours for free."
Anna acted even more rich than George.
"That’s not proper," George didn’t take it. 300 billion wasn’t a big deal for him.
"In here, what I say is the rule. You came for something, right? Let’s go to the second floor and talk." Without asking, she pulled George toward the stairs.
Lily wasn’t happy and followed quickly.
The server Nadia stood frozen, looking sad.
Not only did she miss out on the 300 million commission, but she even didn’t get the 130 million she was supposed to.
Carol knew what she was thinking and said quietly, "The scroll will still be counted as sold at the price you got. Your 130 million commission won’t be missing."
"Thank you, team leader!" Nadia’s face lit up, and she quickly thanked her.
