Ruo'er followed Xin Yan walking out of the room with a dazed look on her face. After the woman was gone, she turned her attention towards Noah.
Her thoughts wandered, and she could only think about one thing that could have caused her to be this wet.
"We are leaving this place!" she practically yelled at Noah with a disgusted look on her face.
"Okay?" Noah raised his eyebrows, seeing the girl's expression. He did not care what was going on inside her mind. "I never stopped you from leaving."
He shrugged and walked in the direction of the chair that was directly in front of the old man.
Ruo'er's grandfather sat there calmly sipping tea as if whatever was happening had nothing to do with him.
"What is your name, old man?" sitting in front of him, he tried to ask politely at first, but the man in front of him was practically younger than him.
*Cough!*
"...Ahem!" The man almost choked on his tea hearing the way he was referred to, and seeing Long Tian's face in front of him did not help him at all.
"You!!" Ruo'er, who was already in a bad mood, couldn't withstand someone insulting her grandfather in front of her face.
"It's fine, Ruo'er." The old man waved his hand, indicating he was fine with it, and turned his face to look at Noah before continuing, "You say that, but you are already thousands of years older than me... aren't you?"
"At least I don't have an old-looking body." Noah immediately regretted saying that; the killing intent coming from the side was not something someone would want to feel on a hot day.
"My name is Ming Ye." The old man named Ming Ye chuckled, ignoring the cold and annoyed look in his granddaughter's eyes. This was the first time she knew about her family name, and this is how she found out.
If eyes could kill, then Noah might get tired of reincarnation.
"To think you did not know my name even after living together for three months." Ming Ye chuckled as he saw Noah nodding at his name.
"Well, I was not really free enough to ask before. Now I am curious about why someone with your strength would be doing so far away from home."
"Ha ha! To think you can tell my strength and not show the slightest bit of shock… You must be someone from the Immortal Realm!" the old man laughed out loud and elaborated on his own deduction.
On the side, Ruo'er looked puzzled at the mention of the Immortal Realm. But she did not interrupt in the conversation this time. She wanted to gather as much information as she could.
"Something like that. So, are you two running from an enemy or something?" Noah smiled and changed the topic without explaining anything else.
"Nothing like that…" the old man waved his hands immediately, not wanting Ruo'er to misunderstand. He did not want her to worry over things that were not even real.
"you researched Ruo'er's blood, Do you know about our bloodline? The Ming clan's bloodline has been in this world since ancient times." Ming Ye started boasting about his clan while stroking his beard.
Noah naturally had the information about the Ming Clans, but he had not looked at it. It was just placed in one of the corners of his consciousness.
"I know that your bloodline is related to the Death Law." Noah nodded calmly as he exposed the deepest secret of the Ming Family without any expression.
"The eyes she had should also be an effect of the bloodline. She could only activate them after she took the awakening potion, 'I Helped' her in getting." Noah looked in Ruo'er's direction when put more stress on the words, making sure she knew that she would not have gotten stronger without him.
Ming Ye looked at Noah with both a shocked and solemn look in his eyes. He did not expect the boy to easily find out about the deepest secrets of the Ming family.
Most of the people knew that those who are from the Ming Family have affinities to the yin element but only the core members of the Ming Family know that it is actually the Death Law and not a mere affinity.
"Did any of your family members manage to become immortals?" Noah continued with his query without caring about their reaction.
"No, after the clan founder, no one was able to ascend. Some say that our cultivation technique is flawed while others say that we are cursed." Ming Ye sighed as a glint of desire flashed through his eyes.
The desire to become an immortal!
Noah also entered deep contemplation upon hearing this news. He thought that they might know about the Immortal Realm, but they had their own problems with the matter.
"So where are you planning to go after this?" Seeing the gloomy look on Ming Ye's face and the determination blazing in Ruo'er's eyes, Noah changed the topic once again.
"I will answer that question if you answer one of my questions. How is that?" Ming Ye offered with a sly look in his eyes.
"Grand- mmm!" Ruo'er opened her mouth to stop her grandfather from revealing their plans, but she did not even get to say one word.
*Snap!*
Noah snapped his fingers and sealed her lips tight. After trying to speak a couple of times, she also tried to move and attack Noah, only to be immobilized on the ground.
Ming Ye looked at her with worry, but sensing she was not harmed in any way, he calmed down.
He sat back down with a heavy sigh and looked at Noah with a hint of wariness in his eyes. He knew better than to make an enemy out of the person in front of him unless necessary.
"Sure! I am fine with that." Noah smiled and accepted the offer. He was left surprised by the question the old man asked him.
