Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 756: Milk
Chapter 756: Chapter 756: Milk
Liu Meiyu pursed her lips before saying,
"I have an event to attend. I will talk with you later."
Zhao Yiran smiled and stepped back.
Once Liu Meiyu left, Zhao Yiran returned to her car and muttered in a soft voice,
"Yu Holea, I would like to see how high you will fall this time."
...
The shooting of the Celebrities in the Countryside ended. However, Yu Holea’s shooting skyrocketed.
Her looks, skills, and calm personality attracted many netizens’ attention.
Some of the netizens also looked up on the internet for her first movie and praised her for her acting.
There were some haters who criticized her for speaking nonsense to Lin Zhihao and giving him a talisman.
But her fans defended her, saying she was just joking and it doesn’t need to be taken seriously.
That being said, Yu Holea’s manager was very satisfied with Yu Holea’s performance.
She received even more roles for upcoming movies, and even the endorsement started to pile up.
Like a diligent bee, her manager filtered the best for Yu Holea.
But since Yu Holea had just returned from the shooting, her manager gave her a day off.
On returning home, Yu Holea heard shocking news.
Sheng Yin was getting married!
The first thought that came to Yu Holea’s mind was, she wanted to kill Sheng Yin.
Such an important matter and Sheng Yin didn’t even thought of informing it to her?
Without hesitation, she left for the wedding venue, ready to teach her a good lesson.
Sheng Yin, unaware of the impending danger, looked at herself in the mirror.
She was wearing a white off-shoulder wedding gown. The gown had intricate designs, and with a tiara on her head, she looked like a queen.
The makeup artist was Sheng Yin’s fan and couldn’t help but ask,
"Ma’am, are you planning to announce your wedding tomorrow?"
Sheng Yin gave a tight smile,
"Maybe."
The makeup artist giggled, clearly excited. "Everyone’s going to freak out! You look so beautiful!"
Sheng Yin just gave a little nod. But inside, she felt nervous. Her hands were cold, and her heart was beating fast. She wasn’t scared of getting married... she was scared of Holea showing up.
She hadn’t told her best friend on purpose.
Not because she didn’t care, but because she knew Yu Holea would make a huge scene. And now, she was starting to regret it.
Meanwhile, outside the wedding venue, Yu Holea stepped out of the car with her heels clicking on the ground. Her face was calm—but her eyes were not.
They were sharp. Angry.
She walked straight to the door, ignoring the people greeting her.
One of the staff tried to stop her. "Miss Yu! You’re not on the guest—"
But she just gave him a look.
He stepped aside.
Yu Holea stormed down the hallway until she reached the dressing room. Without knocking, she pushed open the door.
Sheng Yin almost dropped her bouquet.
"H-Holea?" she squeaked.
Yu Holea crossed her arms. "You’re getting married?"
Sheng Yin smiled nervously. "I-I was going to tell you—"
"When? During the vows?" Yu Holea snapped.
The makeup artist stood frozen in the corner, eyes wide like a deer’s.
"Are you Yu Holea? The recently famous actress? I love your personality!"
Yu Holea gave smile and asked,
"Do you want a photo or autograph?"
The makeup artist was overjoyed and said,
"Anything is fine. As long as I get it from you!"
Yu Holea hurriedly clicked a picture with the makeup artist and asked her to leave the room.
Once she did, the smile from Yu Holea’s face vanished, and she asked,
"Any explanation?"
Sheng Yin gritted her teeth and decided to tell the truth,
"I don’t plan to marry him at all. I will expose his and the Sheng Family’s true nature in front of everyone."
Yu Holea turned silent before nodding,
"Alright. Do you need my help?"
Seeing her turning calm so suddenly, Sheng Yin was stunned, but soon she smiled.
"Nothing much. Just hold your second brother for a while for me."
Yu Holea bit her lips and looked at Sheng Yin with pity.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
Sheng Yin nodded.
Yu Holea let out a soft sigh. "Okay then. If you’re sure... I’ll stand by you."
Sheng Yin looked at her best friend and smiled brighter this time.
"Thank you, Holea. I really mean it."
Just then, someone knocked again on the door.
"Miss Sheng, it’s time to walk down the aisle!"
Sheng Yin stood up and fixed her gown. She looked strong and confident now.
Yu Holea stepped to the side and said, "Go out there and do what you came to do."
Sheng Yin nodded and walked out of the room.
The music played louder now.
The guests all stood up as she walked slowly down the red carpet, holding her bouquet tightly.
Everyone was watching. Phones were up. Cameras were flashing.
The groom, wearing a white suit, waited at the altar with a big smile on his face. Qi Bailu.
Sheng Yin reached the front and stood beside him.
Qi Bailu leaned toward her and said in a soft voice,
"Yin, I couldn’t explain just how much overjoyed I am right now. I thought you would never give me a second chance..."
Sheng Yin chuckled,
"So you still have some self-awareness. Tell me one thing, just how thick your skin is. You dared to cheat on me with my younger sister, and now that she is dead, you want to marry me...how disgusting."
Qi Bailu’s smile froze. His face turned pale like he’d just seen a ghost.
The guests didn’t hear what Sheng Yin said, but they noticed something was wrong. The atmosphere suddenly felt weird.
"What... what are you talking about?" Qi Bailu whispered, trying to keep his smile up. "Don’t ruin this in front of everyone."
Sheng Yin just smirked. She was waiting for the Sheng Family to come.
Once they did, she would expose them and Qi Bailu.
However, in the back of her mind, she kept thinking about Yu Shuchang.
.........
2 days before.
Yu Shuchang had imprisoned Sheng Yin in his mansion and refused to let her leave.
A day passed, and Sheng Yin was afraid that Yu Shuchang would ruin her plan, so she came up with a plan to deal with him.
Yu Shuchang sat at his desk, his pen moving slowly over the paper. He was working on some lyrics, the soft sound of the ink scratching against the page filling the quiet study. His brows furrowed as he tried to think of the perfect words.
Suddenly, there was a gentle knock on the door.
"Come in," he said without looking up.
The door opened with a soft creak, and footsteps came closer. He lifted his head—and froze.
Sheng Yin stood there, holding a glass of milk. But that wasn’t what made his hand tighten around the pen.
She was wearing a lacy, thin nightgown, almost see-through in some parts.
The gown hugged her figure, and the dim light in the room made her skin glow softly.
Her long hair fell over her shoulders like a waterfall.
Yu Shuchang’s eyes widened for a second. His throat went dry, and his pupils shrank a little.
He quickly lowered his head again, pretending to be calm, though his heart was beating hard.
His voice was hoarse when he spoke. "What... are you doing?"
Sheng Yin walked over slowly. Her bare feet made no sound on the floor. She placed the glass of milk on his desk.
"You’ve been working for hours. I thought you might want something warm to drink," she said softly, her voice gentle.
Yu Shuchang didn’t look up. His fingers tapped lightly on the desk. "You didn’t have to... dress like that."
Sheng Yin leaned a bit closer, her face just a few inches away from his. "Why not? I thought you liked this sort of thing."
His jaw tightened.
"Sheng Yin," he said, trying to stay calm, "don’t play with fire."
She smiled sweetly. "Why? Are you scared of getting burned?"
Her words were soft, but there was a hint of seduction behind them.
She reached out and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, pretending to be shy.
Yu Shuchang stood up suddenly, his chair sliding back a little. He was tall, and his shadow fell over her.
"I don’t know what you’re trying to do," he said in a low voice, "but stop it. Right now."
Sheng Yin looked up at him, her eyes clear and steady.
"I’m just being kind. Can’t I take care of my future husband?"
"Future husband?" Yu Shuchang was stunned. The tips of his ears turned red.
A hint of guilt appeared in Sheng Yin’s eyes before she put on a smile and nodded,
"Yes, future husband. Shuchang, I thought for a long while and understood that maybe...I like you too. I want to give this relationship a chance."
