Chapter 1524: Chapter 1524. [Sovereign’s Echo Cavern].

The environment in the [Sovereign’s Echo Cavern] was monotonous at best. It was a white, rocky plain that extended far beyond the horizon. Across these plains, the echo of a dragon roar would echo from time to time, tempering the body and creating pressure.

Those with low-level bloodlines, even if their strength was high, couldn’t dive deep. The truth was also in reverse; even a mortal dragon with a strong bloodline might reach as far as some Mythical Beast Core Realm dragons.

This place tested two things only: talent and will.

Of course, for the deepest parts, there was a threshold for strength. The dragon roars would carry too much pressure, and without a sturdy body, the only outcome was being squashed by the dragon roars.

However, as Yasenia flew toward the source of the roars, she kept a steady look. Each time a dragon roar echoed, Yasenia would react with a blink and a touch of annoyance. The dragon blood in her veins was somewhat unwilling to hear this roar, as if it were beneath her.

Still, she suppressed the feelings and just snorted once, accelerating just to spite whatever residual will was in this expanse of whiteness.

The journey toward the center of the area took much less time this time. The reason? Yasenia was unobstructed during the entire journey. Even as she approached the center, she felt absolutely nothing, her figure steadily soaring across the sky like a blue phantom.

Her giant wings flapped, carrying her body forward, and her golden eyes carried both indifference and derision. ’This time, it seems that it will be quite easy.’

She was not afraid.

After three days of flying, Yasenia heard the roar nearby and slowed down her flight speed, searching for the source of the powerful dragon roar.

Her body circled in the air, glancing at the white and uniform white expanse below her.

ROAR!

The dragon cry echoed again, and Yasenia’s golden slit eyes quickly focused on the direction of the source. She flew forward, traversing a few hundred thousand kilometers, and soon, she arrived.

In her current location, she could see a very conspicuous hole in the middle of the white expanse. Looking at it from above, Yasenia noticed it was eerily similar to a dragon eye.

’Hm... it might be a coincidence. This white expanse is too large to just be the skull of a giant dragon.’

Although she noticed that proportionally, this dragon eye socket was quite proportional to the mountain horn where Ao Xianlan lived.

’Perhaps, it is only a section of the skull that was used to craft the core area, using other materials to complete the large [Sovereign’s Echo Cavern]?’

This was another oddity that Yasenia noticed. "It’s called a cavern, but why is it a white expanse of nothingness?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

While flying, the hollow eye dragon socket sounded, the dragon roar booming out once more and exploding from within. "Alright, I was not in the wrong place."

So, Yasenia flew down and landed at the edge of the gargantuan eye-shaped hollow, black void. Looking down and expanding her Spiritual Sense inside, Yasenia realized that this place was an incomprehensibly deep chasm.

"I guess that this is the place where the true trial is usually done?"

She had noticed that what the other dragons called the "core area" was, in truth, the surroundings of the true center of these trials. She couldn’t help but lament lightly. ’Actually, the dragons are not trying in the true training grounds. If their lineage was stronger, perhaps they would’ve discovered this area much earlier.’

Yasenia shook her head. "Well, if it were my babies, they would most certainly be able to beat the True Dragon Sovereign phantom and gain the qualifications. Should I tell them about this place?"

Her eyes lit up. "Right, they might even be able to get the treasures formed by their mommy!"

Did Yasenia feel that it was strange? Not at all. After all, the treasures she absorbed were most likely formed by those seniors at the bottom of the trials. They were most likely waiting for another challenger to arrive and begin a cycle of replacement.

Old generations nurturing new, talented seeds was very in tune with the belief of most dragons. More so when this dragon was one who sacrificed itself to create a Dragon Paradise.

"Only..." As Yasenia listened closely to the dragon roar booming out of this hollow, she felt a touch of melancholy. ’I can hear rage and unwillingness within the majesty of this dragon roar.’

The previous feeling of disdain had long vanished. She was feeling this way before because the echo from far away was too faint, triggering unpleasant feelings.

Now that she was closer to the source, Yasenia’s eyes no longer held indifference but a hint of respect and sadness. ’I can’t imagine with what mind a dragon as powerful as this one would need to resort to doing what it did.’

Shaking her head, Yasenia prepared herself to jump inside, but she stopped. Instead, she spoke up. "Senior! I am someone with the True Sovereign Dragon aura! Can you come guide me to the core?"

Her shout echoed down. Yasenia very much didn’t want to have her tail grabbed once more! So, she decided to speak up this time around.

As she had expected, a dragon aura surged from below, and together with the Dragon Roar, the ancient dragon inside revealed itself partially. Yasenia smiled, sighing to herself. ’Perfect! I won’t have my tail grabbed this time around!’

So, she jumped inside to go toward him. The second she did so, the dragon below opened its eyes with some panic, and quickly appeared behind her, tightly grabbing her tail and pulling her out.

"Junior! Stop! You might die!"

Yasenia’s veins bulged with anger to the point of bursting. "Even when I spoke up... Even when I warned you beforehand... Why do you seniors like grabbing my tail so much!? RELEASE ME!"

CHOMP!

"ARGH! You silly little one! I am saving your life, and you repay me by biting me!?"

The dragon began shaking his hand up and down, but this time, Yasenia didn’t release him, flopping up and down like a fish hooked on a fish bait. She was glaring at the dragon. "Even if I don’t draw blood, I will break my teeth trying!"

The dragon was speechless, but remembering what she said before biting him, his gaze became subtle as he looked at the "small" dragon hanging on his claw. "You... Did the other three also grab your tail?"

Yasenia stopped biting with a resentful expression. "What do you think!? Let me guess, I met Ao, Ji, and Long. So you must be Ying, right?"

"Oh? How did you know?"

Yasenia sighed and spoke. "The four active ancestors in the Dragon Clan have your surnames. I guess they are your descendants, each from one of the most prominent dragon clans, right?"

The dragon used his claw to smooth his whisker, and was about to speak when he paused. An instant later, a powerful dragon roar burst out from below.

"Ahem. Well, you might be right. Who knows, I had too many children in the past."

Yasenia sighed once more and then recovered her mood. "Alright, let’s go down. Honestly, I feel no pressure from these roars. So, we will most likely be done quite quickly. Also, how should I call you, senior?"

"King Ying!" The dragon spoke with a hint of arrogance.

Yasenia deadpanned. "Alright, King Ying it is. Then, should we go down?"

"You are—"

BOOM!

Yasenia’s aura exploded violently, covering the space with all her strength and presence.

King Ying blinked, and then he smiled stiffly. "...Shall we depart?"

’Heavens! Who is this little girl? Even my old heart skipped a beat...’ He sighed ruefully. ’If I were younger, I could’ve used my unlimited charm to make her my Queen! What a shame.’

Yasenia’s tail twitched, and she squinted menacingly. "Senior, you are not thinking something rude, right?"

King Ying began sweating. "N-Not at all, junior. Anyway, follow me. I’ll guide you."

’Perhaps I misspoke. Someone as fierce as this little girl would most likely set the harem on fire...’

And so, Yasenia and the golden-colored eastern dragon flew down together. King Ying knew Yasenia’s strength, so he only kept an eye on Yasenia, ready to help her return if the Dragon Roar was too strong for her.

However, as they dove deeper and deeper, King Ying’s expression became subtler and stranger. "You... are you not feeling pressure?"

"Not much," Yasenia answered thoughtfully.

Another Dragon Roar echoed, but Yasenia’s body perfectly blocked it. Her muscles, flesh, scales, bones, and even organs were refined to levels beyond imagination. Moreover, Yasenia’s will was unbending, strong enough to even resist a Succubus Demigoddess for over a minute with absolute rank suppression.

The only thing that Yasenia felt slightly lacking was her [Dragon Strength]. This innate power, which had evolved to [Empyrean Cosmos Dragon Sovereignty], was refined but not excessively so.

After all, the last change for this skill developed during Yasenia’s tribulation. Since then, Yasenia had gone through many incredibly comprehensive transformations.

Yasenia continued diving down, and each time the roar echoed, it became marginally more strenuous for her. With nothing to do, Yasenia looked at the utterly baffled King Ying and asked. "So, King Ying. Is this place the eye socket of the senior who created this Dragon Paradise?"

King Ying blinked and showed a hint of surprise. "You actually guessed it? Yes, the entrance of this place is done with the skull of that senior. Only... if I remember, one of his horns had to be cut down and thrown away because it would poke out otherwise."

"Oh..." Yasenia asked, confused. "Did King Ying and the others use the senior’s body to create this place?"

"Hahaha. Not at all. That bastard was strong enough to slap us four to death. We are... are..." King Ying frowned. "It seems that my memory of that event is somewhat blurry. Strange, someone at my level shouldn’t forget. Have my memories been manipulated?"

Yasenia blinked. "Um... you sound quite relaxed for someone who is worried about such a serious matter."

King Ying shrugged. "It doesn’t matter if I forget the origin and reason for this place. After all, my fate won’t change. Unless this world ascends to a higher Heavenly Layer, my fate is to be here for a few million years as a guard. Who told me to owe that bastard karma? Tsk, tsk. I could’ve been soaking in some Heavenly Spring with my many dragonesses instead of listening to that bastard’s last roar over and over again."

Yasenia pondered for a moment. "King Ying, do you know about the Heavenly Cataclysm?"

"The what? No, never heard of it."

"Oh..." Yasenia didn’t say much more. Inside, though, she was sighing. ’Most likely, his dragonesses were already struck down by lightning. Poor dragon.’

Soon, Yasenia and King Ying arrived at the true core area. Here, Yasenia finally felt some resistance, and so, she started focusing on evolving her Dragon Strength to the next level.
