Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 175 - 176 Retaliation!
"Last time, it was Han Bing who personally drove to pick you up," Tang Xuewu brought up the incident again.
"It’s not like that. I really don’t know them," Qin Long said with a wry smile. He had intended to find an excuse to brush it off, but this girl was a bit too clever.
"You’re not lying to me?" Doubt clouded Tang Xuewu’s pretty face.
"Qin Long, don’t resort to unscrupulous methods just to become powerful," she said, placing a hand on his shoulder and speaking earnestly. "I’d rather not have that kind of strength. I’m not one of those girls who are obsessed with money, so I won’t blame you or pressure you. If we don’t have money, we can work hard and build our own little home together. You can’t use dishonorable means. Your life would be ruined if you did, understand?"
Tang Xuewu was always so considerate of his feelings, and for a moment, Qin Long was deeply moved. He was the once-decisive, uncompromising Heavenly Dragon, yet now her words swayed his emotions.
"Many of my talented classmates got involved with people like that," Tang Xuewu continued, shaking her head helplessly. "They seemed impressive at first, but they eventually ended up with broken limbs. Now they’re in the hospital, unable to even care for themselves..."
She was afraid those people would harm Qin Long.
"I’ll listen to you. I won’t meet them anymore," he promised. "Besides, I can be your support. I want to protect you for the rest of our lives."
Leaning on his cane, Qin Long slowly squatted down, locking eyes with Tang Xuewu, his gaze filled with infinite tenderness. Tang Xuewu felt the same way, and a blush crept onto her cheeks. The Qin Long of today was no longer that naive little brother from before. Back then, she wouldn’t have thought twice about bathing naked in front of him. But now, Qin Long was a living, breathing man.
They were both squatting on the ground, surrounded by a profound silence, with only the gentle moonlight for company. The intimacy of the moment was so palpable that they simply remained there, Tang Xuewu leaning gently against Qin Long’s shoulder.
"Actually, this is quite nice..." A look of contentment appeared in Tang Xuewu’s beautiful eyes. Her life was good right now. There was no ridicule, no external pressure. All she wanted was for Qin Long to recover.
Qin Long pointed to the moon, suggesting it was getting late. Just as they were about to head back, a cold voice cut through the air from behind them.
"Haha, where do you think you’re going?"
A cold glint flashed in Qin Long’s eyes. He had wanted to get Tang Xuewu out of there, but it was too late.
Figures began to pour out of a large SUV parked nearby. Dozens of burly men emerged, armed with wooden clubs and ropes. They cracked their knuckles, their faces fierce and menacing. The leader was a middle-aged man in a snakeskin hat and a red t-shirt. A shiny metal chain was wrapped around his arm, and he clearly looked like a trained fighter.
"Don’t come any closer, or I’m calling the police!" Seeing the men swarm toward them, Tang Xuewu’s face went pale with fright, but she forced herself to appear calm as she shielded Qin Long.
"Young Master Qin, we’ve finally found you," the man in the snakeskin hat snarled, his eyes fixed on Qin Long. "The brothers had a hard time tracking you down."
Tang Xuewu glanced at Qin Long in confusion. They’re here for Qin Long? Why are they looking for him? Was he dragged into something with the underworld? Are they here for revenge? The thought made her heart hammer in her chest, and she was worried sick, the image of her classmate with broken limbs flashing through her mind.
"Who are you?" Qin Long asked, his composure unshaken.
"You don’t need to know who we are," the chained man sneered. "We’re just acting on someone else’s orders. We get five million to break your other leg. Kid, know what’s good for you, unless you want to suffer."
He looked Qin Long over with disdain. To them, a cripple leaning on a cane was nothing.
"You came for me," Qin Long said, pointing at Tang Xuewu. "Let my fiancée go."
Tang Xuewu clenched her fists. She wouldn’t leave him. She still remembered the heart-wrenching pain of the last time and regretted it deeply. How could I abandon him and run away alone?
"Such a gorgeous woman? It’d be a pity to let her go," the chained man leered at Tang Xuewu. Just one glance and he felt like his soul had been hooked. "This beauty is mine tonight, hee hee!" he laughed triumphantly, shaking the chain in his hand.
"Besides, you’re a cripple with a cane. A pretty lady like her must be awfully pent up, right? Your old uncle here just loves doing good deeds. No need to thank me."
As the man’s eyes roamed brazenly over Tang Xuewu’s body, Qin Long’s expression grew dark and terrifying. How dare they insult Tang Xuewu? They truly have a death wish.
"Alright. Xuewu, get behind me," Qin Long said, keeping her shielded.
"Long, they have weapons..." Tang Xuewu’s pretty face was filled with shock. She knew he was a good fighter, but they were facing dozens of strong men armed with clubs and chains.
"I, Qin Long, have faced enemies beyond counting! Many of them were grandmasters, yet none could touch me," he declared, his left arm protecting Tang Xuewu, his right fist held ready. "What can this bunch of trash do?"
"Bullshit! You sure can talk!" the chained man bellowed. "Get him! Beat him to death!"
At his command, seven or eight of the brutes pounced like starving wolves, swinging their clubs viciously.
"Long, Long, be careful!" Tang Xuewu cried out, her face a mask of panic. She had never seen such a violent fight.
"Get on," Qin Long ordered. He hooked a hand under her and hoisted her onto his back. "Hold on tight! And keep your head down!"
He threw a punch, connecting with an attacker’s club.
CRACK!
The wooden club instantly shattered, sending a jolt of terror through the man. This kid? While the man was still reeling from shock, Qin Long’s right fist slammed into him. His body flew backward, crashing into the seven or eight men charging from behind. In less than five seconds, the entire group was knocked to the ground.
The chained man was dumbfounded and signaled the remaining men to halt. This time, they gathered their full strength, and more than a dozen of them charged forward at once.
BANG!
In an instant, Qin Long snatched a club and swept it low across the ground, aiming for their legs.
CLANG! CRASH!
Like fallen leaves in the wind, the dozen men lost their footing and went tumbling. Their clubs were shattered, and their bodies were left black and blue. Their faces were masks of astonishment; they never would have dreamed that Qin Long was this powerful.
"Is that all?" Qin Long asked, his face cold with unmistakable disdain.
He then picked up a rope from the ground and skillfully lassoed the chained man. Powered by a terrifying force, the rope yanked the man off his feet and dragged him forward. Qin Long met him with a punch to the eye, sending a shock of agony through the man so intense that he fell to his knees, crying for his father and mother.
