"Tell me now!"

Kia, jumping by my side, spoke as Azrail kept walking. Azrail gave her a small side-eye as he soon reached a special training field, his eyes coming upon his sister, exercising, while training with different martial forms. Her silent cold demeanor still existed as she trained without question, her dedication even surprising the trainer.

But the moment she saw her brother, her eyes lit up like little stars as Xuanyin left the training side and ran up to Azrail, who hugged her tightly, not minding any of the sweat which, for her, smelled good for some reason.

"Is my little sister training hard?"

Xuanyin: Nods her head.

"Then why don’t we take a little break?"

Xuanyin: Nods her head.

Azrail chuckled softly, feeling the warmth of his sister’s small hand in his as they walked. Kia, still fuming, followed close behind, her impatience practically radiating off her in waves. He knew he had teased her enough, and it was time to offer some clarity.

"Well, before I answer your question," Azrail began, his voice calm yet carrying an edge of authority, "let me explain the Hierarchy within the Pantheons. It’s important to understand the structure before delving into the details of what we face."

Kia’s frown deepened, but her curiosity was piqued. She remained silent, listening intently as Azrail continued.

"In each Pantheon, there are different tiers of gods, each with varying levels of power and influence," he explained. "At the very top are the Primordials, the oldest beings in existence, those who formed the very foundation of the universe. Their power is absolute, and it was from their essence that the other gods derived their divinities."

Kia’s gaze sharpened, and she nodded slowly. "I’ve heard of them. Erebus, Nyx, Aether, Hemera, Tartarus…"

"Exactly," Azrail confirmed. "These names are just a few among them. The Primordials are ancient, their will unyielding, and their power beyond comprehension. After them came the second tier, often referred to in myth as the Titans, though the truth is much more complex. The so-called Titans weren’t all of the same race, they were a mix of beings, each powerful in their own right, but not all deserving of the title ’Titan.’"

Kia tilted her head, processing the information. "So, not all of them were Titans?"

Azrail shook his head. "No. The term ’Titan’ is more a convenient label than a truth. These beings were formidable, but they were not as unified as the myths would have you believe. After them came the Immemorial Gods, ancient and powerful, but not as old as the Primordials. Mnemosyne and Hecate are examples of these beings, gods who wield immense power over time and magic."

Azrail paused, letting Kia absorb the information before continuing. "Then there are the Ancient Gods, also known as the Olympians in my Pantheon. Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon—these names are well-known, but they represent only a fraction of the Ancient Gods. The Ancients are powerful, yes, but they are generally weaker compared to the Immemorials. However, there are exceptions."

"Exceptions?" Kia echoed, her interest piqued again.

"Indeed," Azrail nodded. "While the Ancient Gods are typically outclassed by the Immemorials, certain individuals among them have achieved extraordinary feats. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, for example, are exceptional even among the Ancients. Their talents and relentless pursuit of power allowed them to rival, and in some cases, even surpass some of the Immemorial Gods. Athena, too, was close, managing to stand on par with a few Immemorials. But beyond them, the gap in power grows vast."

He stopped, turning to face Kia directly. "Understanding this hierarchy is crucial, especially for what lies ahead. The struggles between these gods are not just about power, but about maintaining the balance of the cosmos itself. And we… we are caught in the middle of it all."

Kia’s eyes widened slightly as she realized the gravity of his words. Azrail could see the gears turning in her mind as she began to grasp the vastness of the world she was now a part of, once again.

"Can we really take them all?"

She asked, to which with a smile, Azrail replied.

"We will."

As he said so, he turned to his sister, who was holding his hand as she pulled lightly at it.

Xuanyin: "..."

"Yes, you have all the talents you need to beat them all in their games. Just trust your brother on this."

Azrail replied with a smirk, patting Xuanyin’s hair lightly. He had already seen the inheritance she has, fully aware that once she unlocks her full potential, Xuanyin will reach heights higher than before. No doubt would she stand shoulder to shoulder with Lysandra, Valencia, and the rest.

His words had their effect on Xuanyin, who nodded her head, her eyes seemingly lighting up, focused forward. Kia beside him flashed a certain nervous look at the interaction, to which Azrail, turning to look at Kia, spoke.

"Why? Do you also want a pat?"

His words widened the eyes of Kia, who, with a blush, replied.

"What?!... Eww!... No!... I am the older one here, if there’s any patting, I should be the one doing it!"

She remarked, to which Azrail replied with a smile.

"We’ll talk about the patting after you have grown stronger than me."

To those remarks, all Kia could do was cutely pout as the three of them walked towards a more localized training center. Azrail’s eyes came upon his uncle, now being beaten black and blue by the protectors that Azrail had set up.

Thud!

The sound of his uncle’s body falling to the ground was heard, the man on the ground, his eyes black, now having the certain patterns of a panda as he lay on the ground. The guardians of his bowing to Azrail with respect as they saw him enter.

"Master."

They spoke, to which Azrail’s uncle’s focus turned towards Azrail, the man’s eyes lighting up as he tried to crawl his way to Azrail, as the man spoke.

"My dear nephew! What is this!? Where are my sexy guardians?!"

Even with being beaten up, that’s the first thing that came out of the mouth of the man. Azrail’s uncle seemingly had puppy eyes on him, which disgusted Azrail to no end, seeing this on a fully grown man’s face.

"If I were to give you some woman as your protector, I’m pretty sure the beating you are getting now is something you will be enjoying."

"Nonsense! I don’t have those inclinations!"

Braze shouted out, trying to defend his honor, to which Azrail could see Kia hiding her face away in embarrassment seeing the behavior of her own brother, while Xuanyin was acting like the man didn’t exist at all.

"At least make them respect me or something! Why are they beating me up so cruelly!?"

Braze shouted, the uncle trying to latch onto his nephew like some little girl as Azrail, shaking his head, replied.

"That’s the best way for you to learn, uncle. At least there is some growth here and there."

"No! I want my sexy elves and beautiful-looking fairies as my guardians!"

Braze cried out again, to which Azrail just shook his head, the man seemingly having gained another sense of fantasy after getting all the information from Adria. Though he acted like this, Azrail wasn’t put off by it. That’s just the way his uncle is, a bit true to his desires, but if anyone takes him for a fool due to his act, they would suffer from his hands.

Azrail still has the memories of what Braze had done and reacted to during the past timeline, the true man he had shown himself to be to Azrail, still acting as a favor that he won’t forget.

"Forget about it. I will just inform my mother about your laziness."

"No!... Anything but that!"

Braze shouted out in despair.
