When he saw that the elders were still quiet, he sighed and took a deep breath, thinking the conversation was already getting to the important part. He was heavily disappointed when the elders refused to speak.
The elders were already aware of Caspian’s personality, and they knew he was sneaking up on them just to get information for the king. They also knew he was a very trustworthy aide who would never betray the king, but that didn’t stop them from demanding from him.
"You..." Lord Chamberlain suddenly exclaimed. When he saw that the other elders were not willing to talk, he decided to take it upon himself.
"Did I not persuade you to convince His Majesty considering the request of the elders regarding my daughter being crowned queen?"
Caspian rolled his eyes, his red eyes slowly turning darker from the amount of rage he was feeling. This man is extremely selfish and manipulative, and is always trying to use the elders to his advantage, Caspian thought, as he clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"What is this I’m hearing about a human?" Lord Chamberlain was not willing to back down, even when he knew that the king right-hand man was a lot more twisted than he looked. He felt that he had the support of the elders backing him up.
Caspian shrugged, the gesture just a mere lift of his shoulders, and then looked at the man, his eyes darkening even more as he spoke, "You can always ask His Majesty." He said with a smirk evident on his face, knowing that the old man would not dare ask their king.
"Or do you want me to tell him you are worried and..." Caspian trailed off, he didn’t need to complete his statement because he knew the man understood him very well.
"This heartless man... I don’t even know who’s better between him and the king," Thought Lord Chamberlain in his head, seeing Caspian right now, staring at him with his red eyes intensifying. It felt like he was trying to provoke him. So in his last revolt, he turned to the elder beside him.
"Did you see what he just did? I thought they said intimidation in the royal house is forbidden and no one gets to intimidate the members and now—"
The man’s words were ceased when a knight in black-blue uniform made an announcement of Eiravyn’s arrival to the court.
"All rise, His Majesty King Eiravyn has arrived!"
The huge wooden double doors was pulled open and Eiravyn marched on the aisle with his black robe moving in a flourish, the scene was heroic. With his head held high. Sir Celrean marched with him three steps behind his back, his one hand holding his sword handle, each steady step he took emitted a heavy and awe-inspiring aura of a powerful knight.
Eiravyn steps was strong and purposely, as his aura demanding respect without seeking it. He had merely been gone for just a month and the nobles seemingly forgot how terrifying it was to be in the present of the king.
Eiravyn was called the devil incarnate because of the way he ruled with an iron fist, and his presence in the battlefield, he was not scared to get in the front line along with his knight whenever his enemies was bold enough to demand a war against his kingdom, his relentless killings in the battlefield earned him the title of a devil, ever since his reign as a king, he had never lost a war, no matter when and how. Eiravyn was always prepared, and since his intimidation affected war-hardened generals and even the military generals, the officials and nobles who had never experienced bloodshed in their entire lives before were already quaking in their seats.
All eyes were centered on the red-eyed king, and Celrean who was walking behind him was ignored.
The ministers and the elders stood up from their chairs immediately the announcement was made. They stood with their head bowed and their right hand closed to a fist and raised on their chest until Eiravyn reached his throne which was elevated on the very front of the huge hall.
After making himself comfortable on his throne, he glanced at his royal subject while the military general and commander and the king’s advisor were seated on the either side of the throne, but three steps down in the elevation as only a king and the queen gets to climb the elevation.
