Her Dark Desires-Chapter 114: Correct My Mistake
Nolan Mansion
Amber sat in front of a dressing mirror with her bathrobe on as she applied expensive skincare products.
She looked at herself in the mirror with a smile on her face. Ever since the news of Eliana’s infertility went viral, she has noticed how much her mood has improved.
Amber stood up and was about to change into her pajamas when the door to her room opened and an angry Nolan was standing before her.
There was a glimpse of fear in her eyes when she saw Nolan. Wasn’t he supposed to be on a business trip till next month? Why was he here, looking so angry?
"You are..." Before Amber could even complete her statement, Nolan punched her in the face.
"You must think you are smart, right?" Nolan asked angrily.
Amber could taste the blood in her mouth as she asked, "What do you mean?"
Nolan took off his suit jacket as he asked, "Do you think that the Sanders would not have been able to find out that it was you who leaked the video of Eliana?"
"What? I... I did no such thing."
"Be quiet! Because of you, my company is facing bankruptcy, and all investors are pulling out. I am going to be ruined all because of your stupidity, but you know what? I won’t go down alone. I will make sure I end you and then feed your bones to the dog." Nolan said aggressively as he took her by the hair and dragged her on the floor.
At this point, Amber’s bathrobe has already become loose, and she kept screaming, pleading for him to stop.
Nolan carried her and threw her on the bed. Even in his anger, the moment he laid eyes on her nakedness, his angry eyes became mixed with lust as he said, "At least I should enjoy one last meal with you before ending your pitiful life."
Amber’s breath became heavy, her throat sore from all her screaming. She wondered if her mother wasn’t hearing her from her room or if maybe she chose to ignore her. She could hear the sound of Nolan’s belt, and after a few minutes passed, she didn’t feel his weight on her, and the next thing she heard was her mother’s voice asking.
"Are you alright, my baby girl?"
Amber sat upright and saw her mother, holding a knife stained with blood. Her blurry gaze moved to Nolan’s body, and her tears fell as she called out, "Mom."
Sloane dropped the knife on the floor and ran to hug her daughter. "It’s alright, Amber. It’s all over now."
Amber cried louder and hugged her mother tightly.
Sloane’s eyes became teary seeing the bruise on her daughter’s body. She kept saying comforting words to her until she felt better.
Amber looked at the dead body of Nolan, and her voice trembled as she said, "What should we do, Mom? I think he is dead."
Sloane kisses her daughter on her forehead and shifts her gaze to the body on the floor. "We need to get rid of his body, along with the knife."
She glanced back at Amber as she asked, "No one is at home apart from us, right?"
Amber nodded.
"Good. Get dressed and help me put his body in the car."
"What?"
Sloane ignored her disbelieving look and said, "We must wrap his body up and switch off the outside light to ensure that no one sees us."
"Aren’t you scared? You are acting as if you have done this before." Amber said shakily.
Sloane froze when she heard that. She looked into her daughter’s eyes and whispered, "Maybe I have done this before."
"What are you saying?" Amber asked softly as if she was suddenly scared of the woman she calls mother.
"Stop staring at me and help me get rid of this bastard body."
"Hold on! Does this mean we have to run away?"
Sloane frowned and asked, "Run away? Why are we running away? Nolan is on a business trip, right?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"I don’t understand....."
Sloane sighed and gripped her daughter’s hand. "Listen to me, stop acting dense already. Only we know that Nolan returned to this house, and as long as we say he never came here, then people will automatically assume that he is still on his business trip, and even if they were to find his plane ticket back here, it still doesn’t matter, because we already know that he has multiple lovers. We need to get our story straight, Amber; we can’t screw this up. Do you understand?"
Amber nodded, "I understand." She got up and started getting dressed.
After getting dressed, she helped her mother in wrapping Nolan’s body. Together, they carried it to the trunk of their car, and since Amber was shaking too much to drive, Sloane drove.
Amber looked at so many bushes they had passed and asked, "Aren’t we throwing his body away in a bush?"
"Have you lost your mind? Only fools throw away a body in the bush where a dog can easily scent."
"Then..."
"In a river. And not just any river, a dangerous one where animals like sharks are easily found. Didn’t he say he would feed your body to wild animals? Well, this is his karma."
Amber looked at her mother, and for the first time in her life, she felt a little bit scared of her. Was her mother always this cold?
Sloane, who was in the driver’s seat, was glad that it was so late and there was no police on the road. Although she looked calm outwardly, deep within her, she was burning in rage.
This is all because of that wench, Eliana. If not for her interference, then Amber would have been married to Jason, and this day would never have come.
Sloane clenched her hand on the steering wheel as she thought to herself. What should I do with you, Eliana? You seem to always get away from every trap I set for you. Should I just end you like how I did your worthless mother? Yes, that would be for the best. Eliana was a loose end that should never have existed. I never should have hesitated, but no problem. It’s time I correct my mistake.
