I Became a Scoundrel of a Chaebol Family-Chapter 99
It was a rather shocking statement.
Kang Chae-yul, the leader with the delinquent girl concept who had almost been raped by Go Muyeol, flared up in anger.
“Wh-what are you saying?! Offering ourselves up?! How could you even say that—”
“We all knew how dirty this industry is when we started. Honestly, it’s not that big of a deal, is it?”
“What did you say?!”
“It’s not like we’d wear out from it, and if we can keep working, earning tens or hundreds of millions in the process, isn’t it worth it?”
To Kang Chae-yul, this was an utterly unacceptable remark.
After being nearly crushed beneath Go Muyeol that day, she’d endured countless nightmares and emotional turmoil. And now they’re suggesting just going along with it?
Not to mention, her mother, their agency’s president, had fought tooth and nail to prevent them from being exploited. Nokonoko’s modest status as a small agency was precisely because of the president’s decision to take the hard road rather than the corrupt one.
But now... was it really okay to just give in and keep working?
To her, this was nothing short of an insult.
It was something she couldn’t understand or accept. Sure, money’s great, but how could they stoop that low?
Unfortunately, she was alone in her view.
“I... I actually think Mina has a point...”
The triad-girl hesitantly raised her hand, agreeing with the gyaru-girl. Then the mafia-girl and yakuza-girl subtly nodded in agreement.
“Y-you guys...!”
Kang Chae-yul looked at her group members, shocked. Her mind went blank, and her mouth fell open.
They were... thinking like this?
“We’ve worked so hard to get this chance... It feels like a waste to throw it all away and run.”
“I don’t want an ordinary life... I want to live as a successful idol.”
“We don’t even know if we’d succeed in the U.S....”
“We’re number one for four straight weeks...! My dream is finally coming true, and I don’t want to give it up over this.”
“...”
It seemed the members had already made up their minds.
‘Did they... share this opinion without telling me...?’
A wave of shock, betrayal, and fear washed over Kang Chae-yul, making her shiver.
“Let’s talk to the president about it when we get back, okay?”
“N-no... You guys don’t understand... You don’t know what it’s like to be pinned down, unable to do anything!”
“Chae-yul!”
Chae-yul screamed in desperation. No matter how appealing the money and success might be, going back to him and lying beneath him? To quietly let herself be raped again?
Never.
She could never accept that!
“...If it’s really that bad, then we’ll do it without you.”
“!!”
“Yeah. You don’t have to be involved, Chae-yul. Just leave it to us. With four out of five of us, I’m sure he’ll be lenient.”
“So let’s talk to the president.”
“!! Y-you guys...”
Would they really go that far...? Were they truly this determined?
“If you’re that opposed, we’ll—”
And that’s when it happened.
Clunk!
With a sudden jolt, the car came to an abrupt stop.
“Ahhh!”

The unexpected halt threw the members to one side.
Creak.
The partition slid open, and the support manager in the driver’s seat turned to them with concern.
“Are you all okay?!”
“Sis...!”
“What’s going on?!”
Fortunately, no one was injured. The girls steadied themselves, holding their chests to calm their startled hearts. The manager let out a sigh of relief.
“Phew... I have no idea what just happened. The car just suddenly stopped...”
Of course, she was only there in case of emergencies, while the AI was fully in control of the driving. An AI-driven car is designed to minimize any risk, making incidents like this rare.
Yet the car had stopped suddenly?
On top of that, switching to manual mode didn’t work either. She’d heard that the other security vehicles were experiencing the same issue.
‘Could it be...?’
The manager was struck by a terrible premonition.
+++
“That’s the target vehicle.”
“And the location is perfect. Begin.”
“Yes.”
Late at night.
Soo-ah watched as several vans drove down a quiet road, preparing herself.
One main van carrying the Nokonoko Girls and four security vans. It might seem like excessive security, but considering they’d angered Koryo Group, it was actually minimal.
‘Why on earth did they resist? So foolish.’
To her, their actions made no sense. Were they ignorant of Koryo Group’s power, or simply naïve?
With their looks and bodies, they would end up spreading their legs sooner or later. If they had just assessed their situation and accepted their reality, they’d have received unimaginable rewards.
So why were they resisting?
Or, if they were going to resist, why hadn’t they fled?
To anger the scion of Koryo Group and still roam around freely—what kind of courage was that?
“People really need to develop some self-awareness.”
Soo-ah equipped silencers on two pistols.
With four security vans, there would be at least twenty people. Some might even have implants, making it a tough fight or even impossible for her in the past.
But now...
‘I can’t lose anymore.’
Her body had been upgraded after training with Koryo Militaris. Plus, she’d brought nearly the entire Red Team along.
Even if she wanted to lose, she couldn’t.
At least not against mercenaries that a small idol agency could afford.
“Is the sniper team in position?”
“Beta One, deployed and ready.”
“Beta Two, ready.”
“When I give the signal, take down the heaviest targets first.”
“Roger.”
“Understood.”
“Insertion team, are you ready?”
“All clear here.”
“Ready and waiting. No issues.”
“All good~.”
Soo-ah’s infiltration team, tasked with cutting down the guards, consisted of five people, including herself. Among them was Red Team leader Levi, whom Go Muyeol had received from Min Ji-ah.
This force was more than sufficient—excessive, even.
“Commence operation.”
“I’ll take control of the vehicles.”
The woman with the ponytail pressed down on a screen on her transparent tablet.
Tap.
Screech!
All five vans came to a simultaneous halt, filling the quiet neighborhood with an eerie tension.
“What’s going on?!”
“Emergency! Everyone, take your positions!”
The guards seemed well-trained, quickly exiting their vans and forming a defensive stance.
Each van held six guards, making twenty-four in total. Four of them were heavily armored.
Standing close to two meters tall, the armored guards were covered in thick reactive armor and held massive handheld railguns in both hands, creating an intimidating appearance that could make most opponents give up at first sight.
“Protect the targets! And get in touch with the president!”
Ten of them surrounded the Nokonoko Girls’ van. The remaining fourteen spread out, maintaining a vigilant watch.
Soo-ah moved to the edge of a nearby rooftop, peering down at the scene. From her position, the enemy was about 200 meters in a straight line. The height alone was over 50 meters, but it didn’t matter.
She crouched at the edge of the ledge.
And then—
Thunk.
Like a bullet, she launched herself toward the enemy.
At that signal, the rest of the insertion team used their own implants to infiltrate, while the snipers fired anti-tank rifles at the armored guards.
It was like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but a little excess didn’t hurt.
The elongated bullet left a faint trail in the air as it flew and struck its target.
Thud!
The heads of two armored guards, shielded by thick helmets, exploded simultaneously.
“!!!”
“It’s a sniper attack!!”
“Damn it, they got them in one shot?!”
But there was no panic. They were professionals, prepared for a scenario like this.
They took cover, activating their detection devices. Unfortunately, nothing showed up, but instinctively, they knew.
The enemy was coming!
Tap.
Soo-ah was the first to make her entrance.
Landing in what she thought was a cool stance, she stifled a groan.
‘Ow...!’
Despite all the shock-absorbing equipment embedded in her body, jumping from a building was still a bit much. Or maybe she just wasn’t used to it yet.
“Th-There—”
But there was no time to dwell on it. She quickly raised her gun, putting bullets into the heads of the two closest guards.
Thunk!
“You bitch!”
The enemies spotted her and readied their weapons. But it was pointless.
Whirr—!
She activated her neural acceleration, increasing her brain’s time perception by threefold, while also boosting her reaction speed by threefold with implants embedded in her bones.
Technically, it could go up to tenfold.
However, in her training, she’d discovered that her brain couldn’t handle it. At tenfold, her head felt like it would explode, making it impractical in real situations. Even at fivefold, the pain was unbearable.
Threefold was the maximum she could handle for now.
‘Everyone’s so slow.’
But even that was a disaster for her enemies.
“I’ll... kill you...”
“What are you even saying?”
She pressed the muzzle of her gun under the chin of a guard slowly raising his weapon and pulled the trigger.
Thud!
Leaving his shattered head behind, she leapt about five meters, placing a shot squarely in the forehead of another who was just starting to gape in horror.
In about one second, Soo-ah had circled the van, taking down each guard.
When she disengaged her neural acceleration, only then did the bodies collapse to the ground.
“Huff...”
Soo-ah brought a hand to her chest, feeling her heartbeat.
‘A-Amazing... to think I could take them out in an instant like this!’
Her body still showed signs of strain in various places, as she hadn’t yet fully adjusted. But the result made the pain more than bearable.
‘If I can eventually handle tenfold...?’
Maybe she could reach just below the level of a true knight.
Just as she was getting lost in her thoughts, Soo-ah snapped back to reality.
She was still in the middle of a fight, and it wasn’t the time to let her guard down.
“Target area secure.”
“...Huh?”
It was over?
She looked around.
Except for the six guards she’d taken down, the remaining ones had been neatly dispatched as well.
Swish.
Levi, the leader of the Red Team, was wiping down his long blade with a white cloth. Blood and oil smudged the cloth as it absorbed the mess, staining it red.
“In the future, I recommend using a sword. Guns are too slow.”
“You’re insane.”
What was this guy? Was he some kind of knight?
