The boisterous and contemptuous laugh attracted everyone’s attention.

Erika frowned as her gaze turned towards the source of the voice.

It was a red-haired girl wearing a revealing outfit. Her hair was tied to a seductive bun. Her face was full of make-up, and her lips were as red as blood due to the thick lipstick she wore.

Seeing who it was, Erika just clicked her tongue and ignored her words earlier.

In her mind, she could not be bothered to pay attention to such a slut at all.

She turned around and helped the others disembark their luggage before walking toward ’Journey’ to guide him inside later.

Gasper walked closer to Erika and asked, "Who is she?"

"Don’t mind her. She’s just a fly riding a toad’s back," Erika replied without even turning back.

Gasper tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

Erika looked at her cousin and finally said, "Her name is Tiara. She’s one of Domen’s girlfriends, the untalented kind."

On the side, Miguel also observed Tiara. As far as he recalled, Domen was the undisputed number-one genius in the Red Family. It was also him who secretly ordered Jonas to kill Miguel silently after he learned that Erika had taken a liking to him.

Miguel looked at Tiara and began to wonder if Domen was truly a genius. If he was indeed one, then Miguel could only say that his choices were very poor.

"Hmmp! How dare you ignore me, bitch? " Tiara screamed at the top of her lungs as she pointed at Erika.

As someone who regarded herself as Domen’s number one fan and girlfriend, it hurt her a lot when she learned that Erika actually ignored Domen’s advances. Even still, Domen still kept on pursuing her, and it made Tiara extremely dissatisfied and jealous to see that Domen’s attention was focused on getting Erika.

As Domen’s girlfriend, Tiara also had some influence on the youngsters of the Red Family. Behind her were some of Domen’s girlfriends and some of their lackeys’.

Just as she was about to scold Erika some more, she suddenly saw a few people approaching them at the corner of her eyes.

She glared in Erika’s direction one last time and stated, "Hmmp! I’ll deal with you later."

She then fixed her appearance and walked towards the group of people approaching them.

In front was a man with a handsome appearance. He has red hair and a goatee, adding to his mature looks. Right beside him was a man with a mature appearance. He looked the same as the younger one, but he looked much older. He looked refined and disciplined as a group of elderly people walked right behind him.

"That’s Domen," Erika commented, seeing them gradually approach the area they were in.

"The one right beside him is his father, Damian. The current Main Branch leader," she added.

"Behind them are some of the known elders in the Red Family main branch. They are very strong," she said as a look of disgust appeared in her eyes.

They had already speculated that whoever contacted the assassins to kill them should be someone who has power in the Red Family. There was even a high chance that the person they were looking for was one of these people who was gradually approaching them.

Ever since knowing the facts behind the assassins, Erika has no longer viewed the elders reverently.

The group brushed past the obsessed Tiara as they finally arrived in front of Erika and Miguel.

Domen looked around curiously, as if searching for someone, while Damian directly took a step forward and stated, "Welcome back safely, Erika."

He then turned his attention to Miguel and continued, "Is this the elder that saved you from the bandit’s hands?"

Erika nodded her head in response.

Damian made a little bow as he said, "On behalf of all my Red Family, I greatly thank the elder for the timely help. Erika had already told me the reward that you wanted, and after a few official meetings, we finally decided to let you access our library for free."

"However, as our library contains a lot of secrets and knowledge, we just don’t casually let anyone inside it. Even our members needed to obtain merit points in order to access some of the books inside."

"With that being said, one of our elders proposed an interesting idea to let you in without a problem. If you are interested, we can talk about it in detail later."

Miguel did not think too much about it and just casually nodded his head. Erika had already told him about this before, and what Damian was saying now was just some sort of formality to let others know his reason for being here and the reason why he was allowed to enter the family’s library.

Damian nodded his head as he introduced Domen, as well as the elders behind him one by one.

They already knew that ’Journey’ was very strong and had a Gold Grade Beast at his disposal, so none of them dared act high and mighty in front of him. Even though they could more or less contend with a Gold Grade Beast with their high-leveled Silver-Grade Beasts, having a bona fide Gold Grade Beast was still different and deserved a lot of respect.

Knowing what his position would be in the future, they also came here to welcome him personally and possibly add him to their connection as well. After all, the Red Family may look peaceful and united, but as elders, they knew quite well the undercurrents going on inside the Red Family. The struggle for wealth and status had always been present, especially in a large family with a lot of branches like the Red Family.

After the introduction, Damian personally led ’Journey’ toward his office while Domen was left behind to settle Erika and the others.

With what they had been through, it was just normal that they would be treated well the moment they arrived in the Red Family.

As they walked, Domen suddenly asked, "Right, where is this Miguel that you were talking about?"
