I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 59: Being Delusional?

It has been a few hours since the bandits escaped the public road. After swerving a few times, they had finally traveled with a clear direction.

Inside the two carriages were the captives. Separated according to their gender, the carriage traveled at extreme speed escorted by the mammoth and the others horses and Wind Horses on the side.

Inside the boys carriage, Miguel, Gasper, Murphy, the two other young summoners as well as the male servants were huddled together in such a tight space. Everyone’s face and clothes were ragged, it was apparent that they were not treated well when they were captured.

Their hands were tied behind their back, their weapons were confiscated along with Murphy’s summoning crystals. The summoners could not summon their grimoires either as two bandits were watching them closely. If they began to chant, the two would always interrupt them, and if they really forced it, they might experience a backlash in the process.

Randy drove the carriage that held all the boys including Miguel. Randy had been silent since earlier, the insult he had been receiving from Gasper since earlier went through one ear and out the other.

However, as though he already had enough, Randy grunted and turned to look at Gasper, "If you don’t shut up, I’ll gladly slit your tongue. Remember, we don’t need you at all. We only need Erika. I don’t even know you prior to this mission. What genius? Hmmp! You’re being delusional if you think you are one." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Gasper gritted his teeth, no words could come out of his mouth. As though stuck on his throat, he could only look at Randy in anger in exasperation. He could not refute his words at all.

It was true that there was no need to bring them along as they only needed Erika. She was their target to begin with.

As for the genius part, it struck and penetrated deep into his bones even more. This was more so after his experience earlier.

He would usually be able to summon his grimoire in dozens of seconds. However, it took him over two minutes to summon his grimoire earlier. For some reason, he could not concentrate on chanting the summoning chant at all. This was the first time that it happened to him.

It made him confused and bewildered.

When Randy pointed this out even more, his spirit dampened and he was obviously affected by his words. He lowered his head. Questions filled his mind. Was he truly not a genius? Or was it just the setback from Miguel’s win over him that affected him that much? Was his mind that fragile? If he could only summon his grimoire in over two minutes, what was the difference between him and those kids who could only summon their grimoire after three minutes?

He was exasperated.

At the other carriage, Erika and the other girls were treated nicely compared to the boys.

Even still, the girls still cried their hearts out, some were pale due to nervousness and fear.

Erika on the other hand remained silent, as though everything going around her was out of her concern. However, deep inside, she actually was just like the other girls.

Knowing that she was the only remaining pillar of support that everyone held onto before they eventually broke down, she steeled herself not to cry in front of the others.

As the journey continued, the group had now arrived in the mountain plains.

Trees were sparse and a large clearing was ahead, right at the foot of a green mountain.

The bandit leader slowed down and surveyed the surroundings before gradually stopping.

He nodded his head and said, "This area is good. Let’s take a few minutes of rest before we return to the base."

As he said that, he dismounted the massive mammoth and came in front of it.

He stroked its tusk affectionately, however, perhaps it was due to its personality, the mammoth grunted and almost whipped the leader with its trunk.

"Calm down, calm down," The leader hastily rubs its lower neck in order to appease it. From the looks of it, this often happened seeing how calm the leader was before his actions.

He took out the silver grade summoning crystal, and pressed it on the mammoth, the next second, the mammoth was engulfed with a strong light before it disappeared in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, this interaction between him and the mammoth did not escape Miguel’s observation as they disembarked the carriage one by one.

He thought that it was strange but could not put his mind to it.

He observed his surroundings and noticed the green mountain in the distance. He narrowed his eyes and the name of the mountain immediately surfaced on his mind.

Ghost Wail Mountain!

Miguel frowned and was confused on what they were doing here.

When they stayed in Red Cliff City before, Miguel had not wasted his time and studied the geography of Blazing Expanse. Although the map he obtained was not complete, it at least covered most of the forbidden grounds in Blazing Expanse that was known by the masses.

Ghost Wail Mountain was one of such forbidden grounds.

Unlike the others, it was determined as a forbidden ground only due to the multiple unexplained phenomenon that it has.

Unlike the others who were deemed as a forbidden grounds due to it being a Golden King Beast territory, the Ghost Wail Mountain was not, yet it was equally, if not more dangerous.

It was said that every night, a loud wailing noise would always echo throughout the mountain.

Those who ventured and tried to uncover the mystery never returned, and those who managed to do so had gone crazy and would have no real recollection of what had transpired in the mountain prior.

They would spout gibberish and would oftentimes attack everyone on sight, they acted like a human Demonic Beasts, hence, the Ghost Wail Mountain was ruled as a forbidden ground.

According to the map he saw, at the back of this mountain was actually the Red Cliff.

The Red Cliff was very long. This part was at the northernmost part of the Red Cliff, almost close to the ocean in fact.

As Miguel and the others were gathered together with the girls, Murphy suddenly looked at Randy and asked, "Are you guys the Fierce Tiger Bandits?"
