I Cast Forbidden Spells Until the World Breaks-Chapter 96 Nia’s Obsession
Triple B’s earthshaking roar quickly drew the attention of a gray robed elder.
The elder moved like the wind and appeared before everyone in an instant. An invisible pressure radiated from him, making it hard for anyone to meet his gaze. This man was none other than Captain K, the president of the Old Shipyard Port Transcender Guild.
Seeing him, Triple B looked as if he had found salvation. He immediately pointed at the skill scrolls in Zayne’s hand and said urgently.
"President, take a look. Hurry."
"Why are you making such a fuss?" Captain K frowned, clearly displeased. "Have I not told you many times to stay calm when something happens and stop shouting?"
He slowly raised his eyes and looked at the skill scrolls in Zayne’s hand. In the next moment, his eyes widened abruptly, disbelief written all over his face. He strode up to Zayne, took the scrolls, and examined them carefully.
"This... these are legendary skill scrolls?"
Even though he tried hard to suppress his excitement, his voice still trembled.
"Wait."
A flash of shock crossed Captain K’s eyes as he exclaimed.
"These legendary skill scrolls are adaptive."
A collective gasp spread through the crowd. Every pair of eyes locked onto the scrolls in Captain K’s hands.
Legendary skill scrolls were already priceless treasures. Adaptive legendary skill scrolls were on an entirely different level.
It meant that no matter whether the user was an assassin, warrior, knight, mage, priest, or any other class, the scroll would grant a legendary skill perfectly suited to them.
Such a treasure was probably one of a kind in the entire Old Shipyard Port.
Watching the president and vice president shout in excitement, the receptionist in black stockings rolled her eyes silently.
So much for staying calm. As expected, leaders never practice what they preach.
"Um, sir," Captain K finally calmed himself and looked at Zayne with a newfound respect. "What would you like to exchange these legendary skill scrolls for at our guild?"
Anyone capable of trading something like this was either terrifyingly strong or backed by immense power. Captain K had no intention of offending such a person.
"I want all the common skill scrolls in the Old Shipyard Port Transcender Guild," Zayne said.
"Hmm... what?"
Captain K froze. Everyone present wore strange expressions, staring at Zayne as if he were out of his mind.
Using adaptive legendary skill scrolls to trade for common skill scrolls?
It was like someone offering to perform a seductive dance for you, only for you to refuse and instead trade her for a hundred toy figures.
The logic was completely broken.
"Shadowcaster, this deal is a terrible loss for you."
Nia hurriedly spoke up.
"Common skill scrolls can be bought with money. They only cost around eight thousand to twenty thousand each. Legendary skill scrolls are priceless. You cannot buy them with money at all."
She quickly pulled out a pink card from her bag.
"If you are short on money, I have some. You can use it first."
Looking at Nia’s sincere expression, Zayne could not help but smile wryly.
"Thank you, but I do not need it."
He refused her outright.
With Absolute Ascension as his second class talent, legendary skill scrolls were useless to him.
Thousands of common skill scrolls were far more valuable. Once he used them, every single one would turn into a Forbidden Spell anyway.
"Sir, are you absolutely certain you want to trade legendary skill scrolls for common ones?" Captain K asked cautiously.
"I am certain," Zayne nodded.
Captain K’s excitement exploded instantly. This deal was an enormous profit for the guild.
"Triple B, hurry. Bring me every single common skill scroll we have. Do not miss a single one."
"Yes, President."
Triple B rushed off with staff to gather the scrolls.
"This way, sir."
Captain K quickly stepped aside and respectfully invited Zayne into the lounge.
The scene left everyone stunned.
Who was Captain K? He was the president of the Old Shipyard Port Transcender Guild, a man on equal footing with the city lord Tiger.
Normally, Captain K always appeared calm and composed, unshaken even if a mountain collapsed in front of him.
Yet now he was practically bowing and scraping.
But it made sense. Zayne was basically giving the guild a gift. Trading legendary scrolls for common ones was no different from handing them over for free.
Once inside the lounge, Captain K personally brewed coffee for Zayne.
"Please have some coffee. The scrolls will be delivered shortly. By the way, may I ask your name?" Captain K asked with a smile.
"Zero Ultraman."
"..."
Captain K’s expression twitched. If you were going to use a fake name, at least make it believable. Did he look like someone who never went online?
"Haha, very humorous. If you do not wish to say it, I will not press the matter. But please accept this."
Captain K took out a black card and handed it to Zayne.
The card was engraved with intricate golden patterns and emitted a faint glow.
"This is the highest level membership card of our guild. With it, you receive a thirty percent discount on purchases here. In any Transcender Guild across Aurelion, you will also enjoy a fifteen percent discount."
Zayne paused. He had not expected Captain K to give him the highest tier membership card.
"Thank you."
"You are welcome. Just remember us next time you have something like this."
Captain K smiled warmly.
Soon, Vice President Triple B returned with guild staff, carrying more than ten thousand bundles of skill scrolls.
They covered every class. This was the entire stock of the Old Shipyard Port Transcender Guild.
Zayne’s eyes lit up. To him, these scrolls looked like thousands of brand new Forbidden Spells.
With a wave of the Singularity Ring, he stored all of them away.
"I will be leaving now."
With everything settled, Zayne stood up to leave.
"Of course. I look forward to our next cooperation."
Captain K shook his hand, both men smiling brightly.
After watching Zayne leave, Triple B leaned over and whispered.
"President, should we secretly assign someone to protect him?" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Zayne had revealed far too many valuable items. Many transcenders in the trading hall had already started eyeing him like wolves watching prey.
Captain K shook his head.
"No need. Anyone who can produce Dragon Pattern Mithril Gold and legendary skill scrolls is not someone ordinary. Acting on our own could easily offend him."
Zayne walked straight out of the guild.
A graceful figure was waiting at the entrance. The moment she saw him, Nia’s eyes lit up.
"Shadowcaster, you are finally out."
"Come with me. There is a fraud impersonating you. I need to prove to my father that you and that shameless impostor are not the same person."
