I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL]-Chapter 187: The Gossip Party!
The first day Seraphina met Lucien was at her debut party at the royal palace. She had heard so much about the Vortellions that she just wanted to see them.
Her father, friends and even the staff at her mansion kept talking about how wealthy and powerful they were. They were even more powerful than the royal family.
Seraphina wanted to know what kind of family they were and at that party, she didn’t need to be told who they were. They stood out. She had debuted earlier than the other ladies.
The academy was on a break when Lucien returned home. He didn’t want to visit the palace for the winter party but he did anyway since it was his father’s order.
He hated the gossip, the stench of hard perfumes that were mixed in the air, making it hard for him to breathe or the laughter they made when nothing was funny.
He couldn’t relate to them and that’s when he heard a voice behind him. It was Lady Seraphina. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
She boldly walked towards him. That was their first meeting.
Lucien was busy wondering who this little girl was who walked towards him, but it was different from Seraphina, who had gathered so much courage.
"You... you must be lord Lucien," she said.
"Who are you?" He asked, and she flinched before pinching her gown and curtsying.
"Pardon me, my lord. My name is Seraphina Valarie D’Amaris," she said.
"I see..." Lucien replied and looked elsewhere. It was obvious he didn’t have the slightest interest in her, but she wanted his attention. From then on, she would show herself in front of him for the whole five days that the ball held. Though, he didn’t attend the last one because he had to return to the academy.
She had had a crush on him and hoped to marry him. She even started to spread rumours about being his fiancée, but he never came back.
Due to the rumour, people started calling her fake and pointing fingers at the D’Amaris’ house, which made the Marquess send his daughter to the temple to study for a while.
And now, she has returned, due to the war. She didn’t expect the man she had loved ever since she was sixteen to mark another person.
She didn’t need to confirm that it was Rin. Seeing how they were so close and how Lucien looked at him with love in his eyes, she was sure it was Rin.
"Lady Seraphina, you’ve ruined your dress. Where are the maids?" Mirielle yelled for the maids. They came quickly to clean her dress but Seraphina shoved them away, saying she was fine. She had Lucien in her head and not her dress.
"Lady Seraphina... Do you know who the person is?" Lady Jane asked her.
She bit the inside of her mouth so hard that she started to taste something metallic.
"It’s that girlish slut from the brothel. I heard he was the Prince’s concubine,"
She said and they all gasped. Even the ladies from the other table started talking about him.
"I remember him!"
"The Crown Prince danced with him on his birthday and lord Lucien had to stop them,"
"Yes, lord Lucien must be jealous seeing them together,"
Seraphina frowned when she heard those words from their mouths until they changed.
"But, isn’t he the one who saved us?"
"Right! He told us to run before the demons attacked. He even saved the king, why didn’t they give him a reward?"
"I wonder..."
Seraphina banged her hand on the table and they kept mute immediately.
"If you wish to praise him, why don’t you go have a tea party with him instead? I’m sure it’s cosy in the brothel where he stays," she frowned and no one said a word.
"Talking about where he stays, he was at the Vortellion estate before I left," Lady Mirielle added as she took her cup. Seraphina just couldn’t hide her anger when he came to Rin.
"I swear... I’ll kill him. Lucien can only belong to me," she said and Mirielle smiled.
"Of course, only you can become my daughter-in-law. After all, I’m the one the duke loves," Mirielle spoke proudly.
Lady Jane sipped from her tea and she folded her legs.
"Shouldn’t you be worried also?" She asked but no one knew who she was referring to.
"Who... Are you talking to?"
"I’m talking to you, Lady Mirielle," she said and placed her teacup back on the saucer.
"What do you mean? What should I be worried about?" She asked, and the other ladies were interested in hearing that their attention was on Jane.
"I guess I should let you two know," she smirked and folded her hands too. "Since you... Lady Mirielle have been living on the outskirts of the kingdom, and you, Lady Seraphina, have been away from the kingdom. Both father and son were once interested in that... White haired Omega,"
"Father?" Mirielle asked.
"Son?" Seraphina repeated.
"Two years ago, when lord Lucien graduated from the academy, he spent the whole year searching for him. He searched the whole kingdom and other kingdoms, forests, and woods, just for that Omega. Not just that, even the Duke himself went to the magic tower to print his picture, more than a thousand copies which cost millions of gold coins. He did it just to find him. I heard a rumour from the academy about how the two were obsessed with him. He worked at the academy as an assistant nurse. If you don’t believe me, you could ask my older sister. She was also at the academy,"
She finished speaking and no one could talk. Jane took her teacup and sipped from it again. They were all stunned they didn’t want to believe her.
"My Duke would never go that far for a mere omega slut. Besides you said, it happened two years ago, he must have loved him then, but not now. I’m now in his life," Mirielle said, placing a hand on her chest.
"Sure, sure. You’re not in his life,"
"If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you all the love marks on my body," she yelled.
"No one wants to see that," Seraphina said and Mirielle kept quiet. So, she continued. "You’re saying, both father and son are interested in Rin,"
"Not just them... At the academy, he would have created his harem. The head doctor, the students, everyone literally loved him. I heard he was even attacked and sometimes, they tried to force themselves on him because of how beautiful he looked,"
"He’s been a slut since his birth," Seraphina groaned, clenching her fist. She turned to Mirielle. "We must get rid of him. What if the duke still has interest in him?"
"No, he loves me!"
"That’s why I said what if!" Seraphina corrected her and Mirielle started panting hard as she turned her head to Jane.
"What do we do, Lady Jane? How do we get rid of him?"
Jane smirked, touching her face.
"I would tell you. But, not here," she said, referring to the other ladies. "I would send you both a letter but it would cost you something,"
"I would give anything!" Seraphina grinned.
"I don’t have much, but I would ask the duke. The duke can only be mine," she said.
Jane snickered beneath her teacup.
’Bingo!’
.
.
While the tea party still continued, Lucien, on the other hand was so busy at the palace as they were still talking about the war. They got a message from their scout team about how fast the demons were advancing towards the capital.
It would take them a week or even less. They could even be here tomorrow. No one knows. He placed a hand on his chest to feel the orb and furrowed his brows.
Rin never told him about the orb but he trusted Rin. Even if he does because of Rin, he wouldn’t regret it one bit.
’I don’t mind leaving my life in his hands. I’m sure he must be waiting for me at home,’
He suddenly smiled as he remembered Rin.
The prince saw him smiling as they were talking about demons and he started to get worried about Lucien.
"Lucien!" He called and Lucien snapped out of his thoughts, staring at the prince. "Is there a problem? Why are you smiling?"
"It’s nothing." He answered. "Let’s continue,"
Before they could continue their conversation, the door opened and Prince’s assistant walked to the guard by the door to talk to him.
He then walked back with a letter and handed it over to Lucien.
"It came for you, Lord Lucien,"
Lucien turned the letter around but didn’t know who it was from. It didn’t look important but he opened it anyway. He scanned it and immediately sprang up. Everyone around the table thought it was serious. Maybe the demons were already at their gate.
However, to them, it’s nothing serious, but to Lucien, it was more than the demons’ attack.
His father wanted to have dinner with his lover. No way! There’s no way he would let that happen.
