I Got A Title: Lord Of The Time!-Chapter 73: Map and road
Chapter 73: Map and road
Both Lin and Royal sighed at Aran’s words and began carefully studying the map to figure out what it showed and whether there was anything interesting on it that could catch their attention.
Due to having lain underwater for so long, the map had naturally faded. Some sections could still be made out and compared with their current location, but due to the map’s poor condition — it was an extremely difficult task.
So, Lin, Royal, and Aran sat on the grass around the map, discussing what each part might be or mean.
"As I understand it, this is the river at the top," Royal pointed to the left part of the map, where a thin blue line was drawn.
"And it flows right into the small lake we’re sitting next to," Aran smiled and pointed at a small blue dot.
Lin placed his hand under his chin and suggested:
"So we’re on the left side of the map — near the river and the lake... But look at the right side," he raised his finger and pointed to the far right spot, which was nearly touching the map’s edge.
Royal and Aran looked that way and saw what appeared to be a small castle, half of which had almost disappeared.
"You see. Most likely — it’s some kind of castle or large structure built by people. And it’s located at quite a distance from us."
Royal frowned and said:
"But we don’t know the scale of this map... That castle might seem close, but in reality, it could be thousands of kilometers away."
Aran rolled his eyes, stood up, and headed to the lake to try catching some fish. Standing by the water, he turned to Royal and said:
"Royal, if you’re scared, you can just say so. Either way, I’m heading there after tonight — this really could be something interesting... And if you don’t want to come, then this is where our paths split," he turned to Lin and asked:
"And you, Lin? Will you come with me to that castle, or will you keep wandering these lands, not knowing when you’ll find a way out?"
Lin closed his eyes for a moment and weighed all the pros and cons in his head. After a few seconds, he opened his violet eyes and said seriously:
"I’ll go to that castle. We really don’t know where we are. So wandering blindly would be dangerous. I’d rather head toward an unknown castle I have a map to, to reduce the risk."
Aran smiled slightly and slowly walked into the water, disappearing from Lin and Royal’s view.
Lin turned to Royal and asked:
"You’re not going to pass up something as interesting as an unknown castle from a strange map. Right?"
Royal smirked and nodded.
"Of course. Any discovery in the Magic World — is more valuable than gold or diamonds. And if it holds rare knowledge or items... I think my influence would rise so fast, I could become one of the main heirs."
Lin was slightly surprised when Royal revealed such information. He gave a slight smile and nodded.
"True. I hope that place is really extraordinary, because the path we’ll travel to reach it — will be very long..." he turned around and walked back to the spot where he had been meditating with his katana.
Royal looked at Lin’s silhouette and smiled faintly.
"An insignificant heir... Ha-ha-ha! Me — an insignificant heir? I think if I were, I wouldn’t be flaunting arrogance so boldly."
...
The next day, the group set off again. Only this time, not forward like before toward the Fort Post, but to the right. Because now, their goal was the unknown castle that was shown on the map they got from the human skeleton of this world.
"So you decided to come with us after all?" Aran looked at Royal’s serious face and smirked.
Royal scoffed coldly, looking at him like he was worthless.
"I never said I was turning down the offer. Especially when a member of the Mort family is heading there personally."
Aran laughed and placed his fist to his chest.
"I’m flattered! I never would’ve thought that the heir of the Arsafon family would become my escort!"
Annoyed by Aran, Royal walked ahead and said nothing more.
Aran had no desire to talk to anyone either, since they might soon find something interesting, and at that moment, their "friendship" might instantly vanish.
Lin also had no desire to speak with anyone.
The three of them quietly walked through the forest, accompanied only by natural sounds.
A few hours later, another Distorted creature blocked their path: it was a large black crow with a beating heart in place of one eye.
It was undoubtedly hideous, but for this group of three — it was just another small obstacle.
"Kaaarr!!" the crow cawed loudly and used one of its abilities, making its voice so powerful it could rupture human eardrums!
Unfortunately for it, Royal instantly raised his golden sword and sliced the crow’s head!
Whoosh!
The head slowly dropped to the ground, and Royal made a few more slashes to the head to see if there was a Low Soul Shard inside.

The wind was sliced along with the crow’s head, but unfortunately, nothing valuable was inside.
Royal snorted and, ignoring the crow, continued forward.
Lin and Aran didn’t linger either and followed Royal.
...
A week later, on a flat grassy plain, three people were sitting and examining the map in hand.
Royal smiled slightly and pointed to the large mountain cliffs on the horizon.
"Those cliffs over there are marked here," he looked at the map and realized they had already traveled half the distance.
"A week has passed since we found this map, and we’ve already made it halfway," said Aran, observing the surrounding world and enjoying it.
Lin stood up and began training with his sword, feeling the freshness and vitality of the area.
While he was practicing with the sword, he noticed several human silhouettes in the distance.
He immediately frowned and stopped his training to get a better look.
"Those are... those are people — but who?"
"There are people over there," he quickly told Royal and Aran, pointing to the three silhouettes.
Royal and Aran looked in that direction and saw several people walking toward them.
"Isn’t that Silia?" Aran, with his good eyesight, quickly identified one of the figures.
"Silia?" Royal squinted and indeed saw Silia approaching them.
After a few minutes, all three men could clearly recognize the figures.
It was Silia, Yulan, and Egro.
