I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 168: Pyromancer

The flaming doll charged at Blaze. Its right fist threw forward, turning into a beaming yellow ball of fire wrapped around its red porcelain skin.

Its speed was unnatural. It launched itself forward like a rocket. The flame on its feet propelled it like thrusters.

Blaze’s eyes widened. He quickly took a deep breath in to activate Lightning Ascension.

[You have gained a temporary effect: Lightning Ascension]

<LIGHTNING ASCENSION>: Agility + 60 - All physical attributes + 30; Cognition + 20 - All mental attributes + 10.

The world slowed down thanked to the cognition level that Blaze just received. The pyro doll, which was moving at an incomprehensible speed, was a giant bright red-orange blur.

But when Blaze activated his Lightning Ascension, he could finally see the pyro doll clearly. The blurry details got sharper and the red-orange bullet that was the doll finally became clearer.

However, it was still too late for Blaze to react. The doll had approached him too close. Its fist reached at his jaw.

The blue aura enveloped Blaze, its force pushed at the doll, making it slower by a fraction of a second. It was not much but in this high-speed combat, it was enough.

Blaze leaned backward, getting his head out of the doll attack range first. His back arched, lowering his entire body.

The fist of the doll flew past Blaze’s face. The distance between his skin and the flame was only a few centimeters. Blaze could feel the scorching hot sensation of the fire on his face.

Blaze utilized the momentum he was currently having and kicked his front foot forward. The black Running Shoe smacked at the doll’s face and sent it rolling in the air.

The pyro doll spun for a few times, regained its balance mid-air and then landed gently on the disc.

"Looks like I have to be serious." Blaze said. His eyes glowed up in blue, electricity danced around the corners.

The clouds surrounding the stone disc suddenly went dark. Blue lightning bolts manifested inside each of the cloud. Their roars deafened the sky.

The clouds moved in a circular order, making the stone disc as the center of their dance.

Blaze took out the Blue Bolt, the former Destruction Wand, which now had a blue jewelry at the top of its head.

Contrast to its original appearance, its new pristine look gave it a godly vibe. It didn’t look like a weapon of an evil sorcerer anymore, instead the wand looked like an ancient artifact of a religion.

Blaze’s electricity moved out of his arms and fused with the Blue Bolt. He’s activating the third Hidden Power of Thunder Ascended God, the <Ascended Forge>.

This power allowed him to turn any weapon into the most suitable weapon for him at the moment. Blue Bolt was his best weapon, offensively speaking, because it could utilize his Necromancy and Thunder Ascended God.

A bright blue light covered the wand and it stretched into a long spear.

The spear still had the original materials that composed the wand but their shape and size had been changed. The white bark that made the wand body was now harder, more condensed to be used as the body of the spear.

The blue jewel of the wand turned itself into the blade at the tip of the spear. The blue blade was gleaming with magical energy inside.

The pyro doll also summoned its weapon. It clapped its two hands together and slowly drifted them apart. A black metal ring with flame patterns appeared in between its hand.

Then the ring duplicated itself and turned into two ring.

When the pyro doll grabbed the rings with its hand, the flame patterns were set ablaze.

One white spear with blue blade versus two flaming chakrams.

Blaze and the pyro doll charged at each other at the same time.

Blaze held the spear tightly and thrusted it forward.

The pyro doll held the two chakrams on one side and sliced them in a horizontal line.

Their weapons collide with each other. A giant blue lightning bolt burst out along with a wave of orange fire pushed to all sides.

Blaze and the pyro doll were sent flying back by the enormous force. Blaze was sent farther than the doll, his feet lifted above the ground. The doll maintained its footings much better, only being dragged back a few meters.

From the short exchange, Blaze now knew that the pyro doll had much better physical attributes than him in Lightning Ascension.

Blaze slammed the spear onto the ground, his blue electricity climbed out of his hand and went into the white spear.

The blade of the spear lit up in purple and a wave of purple lightning bolts shot out, roaring at the doll and threatening to swallow its whole body.

<Thunderbolt> of Blue Bolt. By fusing his electricity, the lightning produced would be enhanced.

The pyro doll put both of the chakrams on his right wrist and then pointed his right hand forward. It began to spin the two chakrams on its wrist.

A faint orange flame spread out from the two chakrams and materialized into a wall of flame.

The wall of flame charged forward and collide with the wave of lightning bolt.

Blaze’s lightning bolts were stronger, completely disintegrated the flame wall and kept pushing forward, screaming at the doll.

The doll smacked the two chakrams on the floor and let them go. The two chakrams stuck together to make a small flaming platform.

The doll jumped onto the chakrams and flew up, getting over the wave of lightning bolts.

"That’s not something you can see every day." Blaze said.

He pointed the spear at the doll then drew a circle in the air. His mouth let out incomprehensible noise.

He was using the Necromancy Spell, Dying Ray.

Ten bright crimson dots materialized. They quickly turned into ten beams of light that shot at the doll.

The doll maneuvered in the air, shifting its body weight to control the chakrams to dodge the beam.

Blaze’s spear turned back into the Blue Bolt. He preferred it to be small when he used it as a range weapon. Blaze flicked his wand forward, using the long forgotten Destruction Beam that he hadn’t been using for a while.

The dark Destruction Beam screamed in the air and bolted at the pyro doll.

The doll made use of its chakram to dodge again. However, when the Destruction Beam missed its shoulder, the beam suddenly turned sharply in the air, piercing through the stomach of the doll.

It wasn’t even able to react. But it quickly fixed its mistake. The flame body of it exploded into a cloud of orange flame. The energy created a shockwave that pushed all the dark clouds around away, creating an area of emptiness in the sky.

Blaze summoned the Slaughter’s Blade and thrusted it into the stone disc. He’s using it as an anchor to avoid being pushed off the edge.

Once the shockwave subsided, the pyro doll was revealed. Now, it has turned into a giant flaming phoenix. It was so large that its wings could totally covered the entire stone disc.

Blaze covered his eyes partially. The phoenix was too bright for his likings.

"I am just thinking that you are too weak for an S-rank!"

Blaze laughed then jumped into the air. He aimed the Blue Bolt into his mouth and fired the red lightning bolt into his mouth.

A red aura enveloped Blaze. Then blue lightning bolts shot out from the surrounding cloud, they converged into a second energy layer that hovered around Blaze.

He was now being covered by pure blue lightning bolt with a shade of red beaming out of his skin.

Blaze turned into a lightning bolt, charging straight into the phoenix. The air was torn apart by his movement, creating thunderous noise behind.

The phoenix howled. Its flame spread to the surrounding sky, purging all the dark clouds.

Blaze slammed onto its chest and completely phased through. The phoenix howled again, this time with a tone of pain. Its flapped its two gigantic wings, delivering a wave of flame to engulf Blaze.

Blaze dashed away. The phoenix followed, its peak aimed straight at him.

Blaze groaned, controlling the lightning in the surrounding area. The clouds enlarged and pulled in closer. Blue lightning bolts shot out from the clouds and punished the phoenix relentlessly.

It was obviously hurt and its body shattered. But the doll was still just a doll. It didn’t know fear or hesitation. It pushed forward and spread its wings wide.

Fire feathers materialized in the air and became their own army.

The fire platoon challenged the lightning troop head on. The fire feather blocked some of the lightning bolts from hurting the phoenix.

Some fire feathers were even able to counter attack, turning themselves into fiery bullets and shooting at Blaze.

In the chest of the phoenix, the doll was visible again. It aimed its two palm forward.

A giant ball of fire appeared in front of the phoenix’s body. Its curled up and put its wings on the giant fireball.

The phoenix fused with the fire, leaving the pyro doll back to its original state.

And then the doll made its final attack, throwing the phoenix-fused fireball at Blaze.
