Chapter 53: Healing

The realm plunger felt like another place for them entirely. Nervousness filled the place.

Axel’s father stood beside him and on his face was perhaps perplexity, or embarrassment? One couldn’t really say.

Mirrormeld sat by a corner, on her face anxiety. Occasionally she would glance at Axel’s father, not knowing for certain why they were letting him in here in the first place. Perhaps it was because Axel had said so?

Chrysa was indifferent, to her if Axel would explain why the monster (who was now a man) was here, then he might as well listen.

Voidbreaker was nervous, and so was Spinal Edge. And Dan?, he was peeved and vexed. He just couldn’t reason why Axel was taking the monster man in.

Axel sighed and trying to think of a way to ameliorate the current situation, he scratched his head. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

This was the first time the others were seeing him in his true form, as Axel and not as Inferno Blaze. They stared at him, Chrysa even thinking of him as too young?

Well, he didn’t care. They could see him all they wanted. At least if they are going to be stopping the Monseryan beasts from entering the portal they were creating and go rip Earth apart. They needed to be transparent with each other.

And so, with a deep breath, Axel said:

"This is my father."

Dan blurted, "We know, you said that before. The thing here is that your father is a villainous monster, he tried to kill—"

Axel seemed angry, even with his current state with his broken bones, he retorted:

"You seem to not be getting the point here," he turned to the others. "If my father was such a evil monster or villain, he would be killing us all now. He wouldn’t be standing and watching us all now."

Chrysa nodded in the affirmative.

"Quite a point," she said.

The others seemed to agree because they were nodding their heads in the affirmative too.

"But then, even though he’s not a bad guy, then why did he fight us," Chrysa said. "As a normal dude, he ought to have reasoned it with us. He came as a monster, as a villain, so trusting him will be hard."

Mirrormeld sighed so loudly that everyone was looking at her now.

"And look at us," she said. "We’re seriously wounded. I think you too broke some bones."

Axel sighed softly, he couldn’t defend this now...

"I can fix that," Axel’s father said.

They all, including Dan, who was grunting from his wounds, looked at him.

On their faces was the question:

’How?’

"I can heal, I have healing powers," he said.

To show that he meant what he was saying, he gently placed a hand on Axel’s head, his right hand to be precise.

Axel didn’t protest, at least his father was trying to prove to the others that he meant what he was saying.

It came with a sensational feeling, very sensational and soothing. Axel felt his bones rearranging and then, it seemed like something had tickled the sweet spot in his brain.

Saliva almost drooled out of his mouth as he felt ecstasy to the peak. It was so peak it felt so refreshing, this was the first time this was happening to him.

And then, with his father taking his hand off his head, Axel felt like a newborn baby. He felt like he had been just reborn, he felt amazing.

The others stared in astonishment as Axel smiled. And then, suddenly, he was leaping in the air, jumping like he had been licked by roses.

Mirrormeld, without even hesitating, raised her hands up in the air and said:

"My turn!"

Dan looked at her, bewildered.

Axel’s dad did the same thing he did to Axel and...

SPLOOSH!

Mirrormeld’s wounds were gone.

After her healing, she moonwalked backwards and said with a wink to the others:

"He isn’t a villain alright. This is epic!"

Voidbreaker stepped forward as he was healed.

Spinal Edge did same and she was healed.

And so did Chrysa who was quite surprised.

Next was Dan, and he was acting all grumpy. But when Axel sighed and made a disappointed face, he went to Axel’s dad and the man placed a hand on his head, making him to be healed.

After the healings, Axel could now boldly say:

"I’m sorry for what my father did. As you can see, he’s not a villain. He was more of an anti-hero."

"Then why did he mercilessly beat us outside. My problem isn’t about him being a villain or not, my problem is if he hadn’t discovered that you were his son, we would have been dead by now."

Axel sighed. "I know, but, I, as his son, is boldly telling you that he is quite innocent. Now you might think I’m being bias because I’m defending him but it’s not like that. By the way, I was the one that got my brain cracked and my back broken, but I won’t blame him."

Dan’s face contorted into a grimace.

"Then who would you blame?" he asked.

"The monsters," Axel said. "The monsters who almost killed him. Honestly, you guys don’t know I feel right now. I had thought that I was an orphan, I had thought that my father was dead. I honestly thought would never see him again, and now when I do, you guys think—"

Chrysa broke in, "I never knew you lost your father."

Axel smiled. "Well, his ’supposed’ death led to me getting my powers. I only shared it with Dan, and now I’m quite disappointed with his actions."

They all turned to look at Dan.

"Then why his he acting like a jerk, no offense."

Dan shot her with a stern look but nonetheless remained calm but with a frown on his face.

Axel smiled. "I don’t know actually."

With that thought, he squinted his eyes.

Why was Dan acting like a jerk.

No one said a word.

And then, suddenly, with the corner of his eye, he caught a glove wrapped in pure electric energy, coming his way.
