I was Kidnapped for Revenge by a Ruthless Alpha-Chapter 149: Phera goes back
~THIRD PERSON POV~
When Phera saw Odette return in the state she was in.
She was distraught. Her Goddess had entrusted her daughter to her and she blew it.
When Odette finally went to sleep, Phera snuck into her dreams.
"You are not well, MoonChild?"
"I saw her Phera... I saw my mother. She’s possessed! Maybe even dead!" Odette cried out.
Phera felt a slight wave of relief, she wasn’t dead, just buried deep in her own subconscious. She thought it wasn’t something worse. Though Phera couldn’t sense any injury or smell any blood, Odette’s paled state and lifeless eyes was alarming for Phera.
"You met the DarkChild."
"Yes, but I didn’t think it was true. That my own mother was possessed by my enemy! The enemy I meant to destroy!" Odette began yelling "Does this mean I’m meant to destroy my own mother as well? I won’t do it. I’d let this shithole planet burn, before I kill my own mother."
"Calm yourself, MoonChild. There is always another path. We will figure it out."
"She’s with the Rogue King. They have a massive army of shifters." Odette informed Phera.
"So, they’ll be making their move soon. You’ll need to train harder." Phera told her.
"I know. Ezelreth was powerful. I could sense it, the reach he had even at such a distance. Did you know I can open weygates?" Odette asked.
"Yes, you are their creator. It makes sense you can activate and travel through them." Phera explained.
"That’s pretty cool."
"I think it’s time you meet with the vampires. As your past self did before. It’s time you make a deal with them."
"I don’t think Ambrose will go for that." Odette said doubtfully.
"He doesn’t have a choice. History will repeat itself, and just as before a meeting between the species will take place. And time is of the essence. I will make the arrangements with the Leviathan."
"Okay." Odette answered.
Phera ended their dream conversation and scribbled a note on the table for Odette and Ambrose in the morning instructing them on the new development.
She rushed to her domain and went to knock on the Leviathan’s door.
A figurative one, so to speak.
The Leviathan’s lair is underwater. To enter she had to remain just outside its opening and wait to be invited. Just as he did.
His domain was a mirror dimension inside the human world; it was separate from the spirit world. So, she would have to sit like a human and wait in the human world.
Which is exactly what she did.
In her human skin naked, swimming deep underwater. She hated this feeling; water was heavy and clingy. Even without a fur coat it was a pain.
In no time, a golden snake like dragon swam up to Phera.
"You rang?" The Leviathan smirked.
"Yes, I come with news and a message."
"I have nothing new to offer in trade." He answered suggestively.
"You have your word." Phera answered.
"Fine, fine."
"The MoonChild has encountered the DarkChild. History is moving forward, we must prepare."
The Leviathan’s eyes popped open. "That fast. Destiny wastes no time."
"The Vampires need to meet with Odette and form an alliance with the shifters. The shifters will host a Gala in three week’s time. Their presence will be mandatory. The MoonChild will be revealed. The past is catching up and it’s time the world knew the truth. I have a feeling Artemis will make her presence known."
"What about the other gods?" The Leviathan asked.
"They are the least involved gods and focus more on their realm than this one. They prefer the fae and spirits."
"Yeah, yeah, the gods and their favorites."
"Still mad they abandoned you?" Phera teased, poking at an old wound.
"Always." He thought about how Artemis was the only one who ever paid him any mind at all.
"I don’t think it’ll be a problem; the vampires are pretty desperate to get their princess back." Leviathan answered.
"She won’t be returning she will remain with her mate and her pack. She doesn’t belong to the vampires, she’s not a creation of Cerberus, she’s a creation of Artemis, she belongs with the shifters, as their Luna and Queen. The life she didn’t get the first time.
Artemis had planned to pair Onyx and Omara in their first life, but Omara fell in love with a vampire instead. Creating the first alliance. It’s one of the few times a fate was changed. Artemis didn’t make the same mistake this time. Her daughter would rule over her people as she had originally planned.
"They won’t be pleased, but that’s their problem." Leviathan shrugged.
"Any word from Lilith?" Phera poked.
"No, but that’s as expected. She’ll want the invite, so she’ll come back if I send a message on the wind."
"I see. I’ll be on my way, I must return to the MoonChild."
Phera had no time to waste, time was moving forward, and fate had no patience.
Her return journey was faster, or so it seemed than her journey too.
When she arrived back at the palace, she shifted into her mortal form to be able to have a conversation with the Ambrose and the MoonChild. She found them sleeping and thought ’this won’t do.’ And woke them both up.
She knew her idea wouldn’t be met with enthusiasm, but to say she expected the blow up Ambrose had, would be a complete and utter lie.
"You want me to what?" Ambrose shouted at Phera. I can’t believe this is what you woke me up for!"
"It is fate Ambrose, you and the MoonChild are meant to meet with the vampires and form an alliance. Ezelreth is too powerful for shifters to win against him alone. Like it or not, this is what must be done." Phera insisted.
"Absolutely not. I will not host those blood thirsty vampires in my palace and risk the lives and safety of my pack and those who have sought refuge and protection here." Ambrose wasn’t backing down.
"Grow up child, there are more important things than your childish feelings and mortal whims." Phera snapped at him.
"Don’t you dare speak to me like that, this is my fucking kingdom and I won’t tolerate that level of disrespect."
