Chapter 306: Suspicion?

"KYAAAH!" Lillian screamed dramatically as she ran into her living room. She looked towards her shattered window with a look of despair, "My window!"

Marionette, who was slowly following behind, looked towards the window before looking down at the carpet that was partially stained with blood.

"You’re more worried about the window than blood?"

"Huh?"

Lillian looked down, finding that there was indeed blood staining her floors.

She waved her hand dismissively, "Blood is not an issue for me! But my window...!"

She continued to stare at her window, tearfully.

Marionette sighed, watching as Lillian dragged her finger over what remained stuck to the window frame. She moved closely behind the girl and moved her arms under her armpits and around their chest.

She pressed her face to the back of the girl’s head, taking in her scent, which now had a strong hint of iron, before muttering:

"I’m sorry about what happened to your window... I at least cleaned the glass shards for you, though..."

Lillian, hearing this, pouted as she realised there truly wasn’t any broken glass on her floor.

"Thanks..." She responded quietly, getting a small nod from the Assassin.

Marionette then asked:

"I feel as though you are more worried about your window than the thought of what would have happened to me..."

Lillian felt the woman’s fingers push against the bottom of her chin, causing her face to tilt upwards. It was then that she stared into the woman’s stoic eyes.

However, if Lillian focused a little more on the woman’s face, she would find that their cheeks were puffed out a bit.

Were they... Pouting?

Lillian smiled wryly at what she said. She sighed and twisted around, bringing her arms around the woman and hugging her as well.

She then stated confidently:

"That’s because I know you’ll be fine. You’re strong, after all..."

"... It’s still hurtful that you didn’t think about me..."

Marionette frowned, huffing as she tightened her arms around the woman, bringing her body closer to hers.

Lillian, hearing the woman’s response, chuckled.

"Says who? I thought about you a lot."

She raised her right hand to the side of the woman’s head, caressing the Assassin’s cheek before playing with her ear.

Marionette immediately stiffened at the touch on her ear and flinched.

Lillian raised an eyebrow at this. She squinted her eyes on her girlfriend’s face, finding it slightly reddish around her cheeks. She widened her eyes.

She moved her hand closer to the woman’s right ear, softly pinching and rubbing the edge of it—this led to the Marionette’s face to redden and her lips to go shaky.

Seeing this, Lillian asked with a shocked look on her face:

"Eh? Are you... Are your ears sensitive?"

Marionette, hearing this, immediately pulled Lillian’s hand away from her ear by the wrist before nonchalantly stating:

"No." Her blush on her face was completely gone.

Lillian blinked at her skeptically. Squinting, she raised her other hand to the woman’s other ear and began playing with it as well. The same result appeared again.

Marionette’s face reddened slightly, and her red eyes displayed an unwilling pleasure.

Lillian watched as the woman clutched the wrist of her other hand before pulling it away from her ear.

The two then looked into each other’s eyes, silence moving in between them until it was broken by Lillian’s snicker.

"You are sensitive!"

"I’m not."

"You so are! Stop lyi—"

"I’m not lying."

"But—"

"I’m not sensitive there."

Lillian’s smile couldn’t help but broaden into a smug grin as she watched the Assassin shut down her accusations.

She pressed her body up against the woman and increased her height. She moved her lips right beside the Assassin’s left ear and muttered:

"Stop lying, dear~... I know you want me to touch you here..."

Lillian leaned in and left a small peck on the woman’s earlobe before gently nibbling on it. This caused a small yet inaudible moan to escape the Assassin’s lips.

Before Lillian could push on anymore, she suddenly felt her body flip. freewebnσvel.cøm

Bringing herself back to her usual height, she suddenly found herself hanging over the Assassin’s shoulder.

"Eh? W-what are you doing?"

"Bedroom."

"HUH!?"

Lillian wriggled as she felt and watched Marionette turn towards the direction of her bedroom.

"H-hold on! We can’t be doing something like this in such a dangerous situation!"

"You’re the one that started it. Now be the one to finish it."

***

As Lillian and Marionette were... doing whatever they were doing... Somewhere underground, there was an interrogation room.

The walls were made with solid, smooth metal and were without any windows. All there was was a metal table, a mounted TV, and chairs for the interrogator and the suspect to sit in.

Mirage, who was taking on the form of the elderly man/headmaster Louis, looked across the table from him, staring at a devilishly handsome man with long black hair and eyes.

It was the headmaster of the Luton Academy, Donatello.

The man stared at Mirage, resting his right elbow on the table and propping his chin up with his hand.

"May I ask why my students, teachers and other guests were suddenly teleported to this underground shelter for? And why I am specifically in this interrogation room?"

The building that held all the guests and individuals from Luton’s academy was able to be teleported first before the rest.

Louis stroked his awfully long white beard in a casual and carefree manner.

"Hohoho! To answer your first question, there seems to be an invasion going on above. The usual Louis academy experience, if you must know!"

Donatello nodded slowly.

"Yes... I’m aware of your past attacks..." He said with a sigh, "And it’s rather concerning that you are here instead of being up there..."

"Hohoho! Well, yes. But I trust my staff and students to keep things under control, while I keep things controlled here."

After saying that, he pulled out a remote from "who knows where" and switched the TV on, showcasing various footage around the realm.

Donatello, watching the TV come on, widened his eyes.

"I see that your technology had finally come on after that EMP strike."

After hearing what Donatello had just said, Louis narrowed his eyes before asking in a low voice:

"How do you know it was an EMP strike?"
