Chapter 307: What Happened to the Dorm?

"How do you know it was an EMP strike?" Louis asked, narrowing his eyes even more as suspicion arose deep inside his brown pupils. If he were to recall correctly, Donatello should’ve been teleported way before the EMP reached him.

Could it be that he assumed that it was due to most of the electronics in the realm being shut down by it?

Donatello didn’t answer; instead, he continued to watch one of the footage that showed a speeding missile coming straight towards it, only to be saved by an individual with a black ponytail.

"That’s Mirage, I assume? Your disciple, correct?"

Louis nodded, still holding suspicions about the rival academy’s headmaster to his chest. "Yes. He’s a splended student of mine and one that has been with me for years. I’m sure you already know this."

Donatello slowly nodded, "Of course. How long has it been? We’ve been companions for as long as I can remember..."

The man then smiled crookedly as he added:

"It’s just a shame that—"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Donatello paused and looked towards the door behind Louis, who also looked back. The two raised an eyebrow at one another.

Louis then yelled at the door:

"Come in!"

The door was pushed from the outside, revealing an academy soldier.

"I’ve come bearing news of an influx of people arrived through teleportation!"

Louis widened his eyes, "The last spot that needed to be evacuated is the student’s dormitory. Has it finally happened?!"

His eyes then blanked out for a moment. Mirage, who was acting as Louis, looked through one of his illusions, finding that there indeed weren’t any students still inside the dorms.

However, to get a look for himself, he switched the TV to view the insides of the area where everyone was being kept.

The underground shelter was made up of several hallways, leading to rooms that were mainly locked to you unless given access. However, the holding area was like a huge canteen that stretched far.

Mirage wandered around in his original appearance, greeting the people that saw him walk past before finally making his way to the new arrival.

And the first person he came upon happened to be the Second Prince... Who seemed to be bandaging up a male student’s arm.

Once allowing him to finish, Mirage approached him with a greeting:

"I greet the Second Prince, I hope the invasion hasn’t affected you too badly." Mirage stated with a small smile.

Reph, turning his head around and staring Mirage in the eyes, nodded respectfully, "Yes. It didn’t affect me too much."

His eyes then scanned around, looking towards each individual student in his vicinity who had a crestfallen expression, most likely from having watched a few of their friends perish.

Although the male side didn’t suffer as much loss, he couldn’t say the same for the female side, who seemed a lot more affected, judging by their expressions.

"I believe the academy covers therapy sessions, correct?"

Mirage, stunned at what he heard, broke out of his momentary stupor and nodded, "Of course. We are an academy that helps students grow towards a certain direction. Even at the cost of loss."

"... Could you explain that last part?" Reph narrowed his eyes, finding Mirage’s words rather sinister.

"I will not. Could I ask if you have seen Lillian?"

"... I haven’t."

"Is that so? Then, have you seen Miss Roselle?"

Reph went silent before slowly drifting his eyes towards the side, glancing in a direction until his eyes landed on the back of a certain Assassin.

Marionette was sitting at an empty table alone on one of the metal stools attached to it.

Mirage gave a low hum, "Any reason why she is alone?"

Reph shook his head, glancing in another direction to find Millis playfully goofing off and cheering up the female students, who looked extremely depressed.

"I’m not sure why either. And she doesn’t seem to be willing to share."

Mirage nodded and bid the Prince farewell before taking a step in Marionette’s direction. Upon reaching the woman and coming around the side of the table, he found that the Assassin’s face looked rather...

Intense...

Marionette’s hands were tightly clutched together, her nails even drawing blood from the back of her hands.

[Before the Teleportation]

"Honestly! You gotta control yourself sometimes!" Lillian muttered, adjusting her new set of clothes as she walked in front of the Assassin.

They were on the ground floor.

She was now wearing a black hoodie and pants, something that was bought for her by the Assassin on their first date. Since she was going to be spilling a lot of blood, she thought wearing a darker colour would help.

Marionette watched as Lillian tied her hair into a ponytail, something the girl couldn’t do before but could now because it had grown to their shoulders.

Marionette paid attention to this, but ultimately dropped her gaze down to the back of the girl’s neck. She sped up and walked beside Lillian, scrutinising the side of her neck and the red mark that she had just made.

Lillian, looking to the side, found the Assassin staring at the hickey that they had made. Her face twitched, then it twitched even more as she saw the woman smirk at her.

She then heard her say:

"You’re just too delicious to be left alone, Lillian. It’s not entirely my fault."

Lillian’s mouth gaped, gawking and widening his eyes as she watched the Assassin lick her lips seductively at her.

Was she hinting that she wanted to go another round?!

Lillian crossed her arms in an ’X’.

"Nope! We are not going again. We already lost enough time by making out!"

As Lillian said this, she watched as her girlfriend’s lips slowly curled down into a frown before stopping in the middle of the corridor.

Lillian, raising an eyebrow, suddenly found her back—

—Up against the wall again.

Lillian instantly gulped, memories of similar scenes flashing in her mind. And the result of each one? Something intimate always happened!

She glanced at the woman’s hand placed on the wall behind her. She then slowly brought her gaze up towards the Assassin’s face, who was frowning at her.

Marionette raised her other hand and clutched the girl’s chin, tilting it up in an almost dominant manner.

"Time? We have plenty of time, Lillian. Especially with Mirage outside protecting the dormitory from attacks."

Marionette, using her thumb, caressed the girl’s bottom lip. She eyed it hungrily, enjoying as the girl shivered from her touch.

Lillian, hearing the woman’s response to her earlier words, gulped again before responding:

"But still! T-this really isn’t the time to be doing something... So inappropriate... You should know this better than anyone her—Mmhph!"

Right as Lillian was about to finish her sentence, Marionette silenced her with a rather fiery kiss that lasted for a few seconds.
