I'm The King of Business & Technology in the Modern World-Chapter 131: More Test
The Titan Mk-I exoskeleton stood powered down in the middle of the test facility, but the energy in the room was far from still. After the initial success of the first test, the team was eager to push the suit further. The real challenge wasn't proving that it worked—it was proving that it could withstand anything thrown at it.
Matthew stood beside Angel, still feeling the residual adrenaline from the earlier demonstration. The suit had performed flawlessly, but they weren't done yet.
Angel glanced at her tablet, scanning the scheduled tests. "Alright, next round: durability and endurance. Let's see if this thing can take a hit as well as it dishes one out."
Dr. Vasquez nodded, stepping forward. "We'll start with blunt force resistance, then move on to ballistics. If Titan Mk-I is going to be viable in the field, we need to know its breaking point."
Matthew smirked. "Good. I'd rather find out in here than out there."
Matthew stepped back into the exoskeleton, feeling the familiar surge of power as the system synced with his neural interface. The servos adjusted automatically, molding to his movements like a second skin.
Dr. Vasquez and her team wheeled in the first test—a mechanized pendulum equipped with a solid steel battering ram.
"This will simulate direct blunt force trauma," Vasquez explained. "We're starting at 300 PSI of force—roughly the impact of a heavyweight boxer. Then we'll scale up."
Matthew nodded. "Hit me."
With a signal, the pendulum released—the heavy steel ram swung forward with crushing speed—
BAM!
The impact reverberated through the facility, but Matthew barely budged.
The suit absorbed the force, dispersing the energy across its adaptive armor layers.
Angel raised an eyebrow. "He didn't even flinch."
Dr. Vasquez checked her readings. "Armor integrity at 100%. Let's increase the force."
The next hit was at 600 PSI, then 1,000 PSI—the equivalent of a car crash at 50 mph.
BAM!
The force sent shockwaves through the ground, but Matthew remained unmoved.
Dr. Richter whistled. "That should've sent a normal person flying."
Matthew flexed his metal-clad fingers. "Next."
Dr. Vasquez nodded. "Alright. Time for the fun part—ballistic resistance."
A separate testing zone had been prepared—reinforced ballistic glass, automatic gun turrets, and a remote-controlled firing system.
Angel frowned. "Do we really need to shoot him?"
Dr. Vasquez sighed. "Angel, it's a combat exoskeleton. This is necessary."
Angel crossed her arms. "Fine. But if he dies, I'm not writing the report."
Matthew chuckled. "Appreciate the concern."
He stepped into the designated test zone, standing at the center as the gun turrets locked onto him.
Dr. Richter spoke over the intercom. "Starting with 9mm rounds—standard pistol caliber. If the suit holds up, we move to higher calibers."
"Firing in 3… 2… 1."
RATATATAT!
The first wave of 9mm bullets came flying at Matthew.
He barely felt a thing.
The non-Newtonian liquid armor hardened instantly upon impact, dispersing the kinetic energy before it could penetrate. The graphene-reinforced plates absorbed the rest, leaving nothing but minor scuff marks on the suit.
Dr. Vasquez adjusted her readings. "Alright. Moving up to .45 caliber."
More rounds fired—still no penetration.
Then came the real test.
Dr. Richter's voice crackled over the intercom. "We're bringing out the big guns. Firing .50 caliber rounds."
Angel muttered. "Okay, now I'm worried."
Matthew stood his ground as the heavy anti-material rounds roared through the air—
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The impact was massive. The kinetic force slammed into him, forcing him back half a step. But the armor held.
The bullets flattened against the plating, harmlessly falling to the ground.
Silence.
Then—
Dr. Vasquez exhaled. "That… was insane."
Dr. Watanabe muttered, "We just watched a man tank a .50 caliber round to the chest and walk away."
Angel shook her head. "I swear, Matthew. You're not human anymore."
Matthew grinned inside the suit. "Told you it would hold."
Next was the thermal resistance test.
Dr. Al-Masri had set up controlled flame bursts to see how the suit handled extreme heat exposure.
"Activating high-temperature simulation," Al-Masri announced.
Massive jets of fire blasted toward Matthew, engulfing him in flames. The ceramic heat-diffusion layer kicked in immediately, dispersing the extreme temperatures across the suit's surface.
The graphene-infused plating remained intact, barely even showing discoloration.
Angel watched the flames roar and sighed. "This man is literally fireproof now."
Matthew, standing in the middle of the inferno, smirked. "What's next? A lightning strike?"
Dr. Richter adjusted his glasses. "Actually, we do have an electrocution test."
Matthew blinked. "Wait, what?"
Dr. Watanabe stepped forward. "In the field, electrical interference is a real threat—EMP blasts, high-voltage attacks, energy weapons. We need to know if the Titan Mk-I can handle it."
The team wheeled in a Tesla coil emitter, crackling with high-voltage arcs of electricity.
Angel frowned. "Okay, but let's not actually fry him?"
Dr. Al-Masri chuckled. "Don't worry. The suit's conductive layering should ground the charge safely."
Matthew sighed. "Fine. Hit me."
The coil discharged a massive arc of electricity, striking Matthew directly in the chest.
CRACK!
The energy coursed around the suit, harmlessly dispersing through the specialized grounding system. The suit barely flickered—no damage, no malfunctions.
Angel blinked. "So, uh… yeah. Lightning-proof."
Dr. Richter exhaled. "This is starting to feel unfair."
Matthew chuckled. "Perfect."
As the final tests concluded, Matthew stepped out of the suit, his body still humming with the aftereffects of the neural sync.
Dr. Vasquez shook her head, still in disbelief. "We just ran every extreme test we could think of, and this thing didn't even flinch."

Dr. Watanabe smirked. "Titan Mk-I isn't just a success. It's a revolution. Now, with the prototype having a good prospect, what are you planning to do, Matthew?"
"Well since we are a business, the only answer I can give you is to make money with this technology. After all, we didn't just dump millions of dollars into the development of this suit."
"And you have a customer in mind?"
"Yes, the Americans," Matthew replied.
"That's the obvious customers anyone would reach out to," Watanabe chuckled. "Well, be prepared for it."
"I will," Matthew winked.
