Hearing her words, Michael paused for a moment, before he responded, "My mother passed away a few years ago."

Michael’s words left Marion completely shocked. She had not expected this at all. And, as she looked at Michael, she could see the sadness that flashed through his eyes.

At that moment, despite feeling sad herself, she felt quite guilty. Should she have known that Cynthia had already passed away, she would not have mentioned this, only bringing up the past wounds.

Still, she took a deep breath, trying to calm her emotions down. At the same time, she felt puzzled, just what had happened that her aunt had passed away?

Michael of course did not know that Marion was thinking and evaluating the situation, making guesses of his past. At the moment, at the mention of his parents, he did not look at Marion, otherwise, he might have been able to guess what she was thinking.

Still, a few seconds later, Michael spoke again. "There is no need to focus on this, as it has already happened. Anyway, about the issue regarding the Wilson family, I will help out in a bit."

And without waiting for Marion to respond, he took out his phone, before he made a call.

Marion was just about to console Michael after coming back to her senses, but she stopped herself when she saw that he was making a call.

Still, she was kind of puzzled. Could he really help out?

After knowing that he had lost both of his parents, she felt unsure. It was not just from the fact that she felt ashamed of asking for help from Michael, when he lost both of his parents while young, but she also doubted if he really was capable of that.

If it was possible that all the wealth that he currently possessed was something that had been earned by his parents, just how big would the wealth be?

Even the biggest family within Brenton City could not compare to her Wilson family, not to mention the Laito family.

Despite the doubts that she was having, she did not say anything, waiting for Michael to complete the call first.

On the other hand, after just a few rings, Dwayne received the call.

"I would like you to help out the Wilson family where necessary. They are currently facing the oppression of the Laito family. Can you take care of that?" Michael asked in a neutral voice as soon as they call connected.

When he gazed at Marion, he realized that she was gazing back at him. Her face was painted with shock, as though she could not believe what she had just heard.

Even though she could not hear what the other person on the other end of the call was saying, just listening to Michael’s words was enough to tell her what he implied.

From the confidence in his voice, it seemed that he had the capability of destroying the Laito family!

For the current Wilson family, as long as the Laito family could be restrained, to prevent them from making a move against them, that would be sufficient.

As for making them suffer some losses, that was something that the current Wilson family could not accomplish.

Yeah, from the way that Michael was speaking, it seemed that he had the capability of destroying the entire Laito family. And most probably, the cost would not be too high.
