It took a mere 10-minute wait before somebody knocked on the door of my wagon, letting me know that General Delphis is already in one of the tents nearby used for urgent meetings. I decided to wear something formal and dressy today. I also decided to hide most of my face with a veil for now to avoid this place full of men from being distracted from their tasks. I want them to listen to what I have to say and not just stare at my face dumbly all the time.

I alighted my wagon slowly, taking a first look around the inner area of the military camp. The soldiers seemed to have been surprised that a woman came out of the wagon. They stared at me for a few seconds (dumbly as expected) but realized that staring was rude so they quickly looked downwards. My guide looked like they were expecting someone else so I advised them that I came here alone.

One of the soldiers apologized for his assumption and hurriedly guided me towards the tent where the meeting will be held. I followed them with a leisurely pace since I honestly hated wearing dresses but etiquette usually requires it. We arrived at the tent after a few minutes.

The soldier that guided me opened the entrance of the tent respectfully and invited me to go in. Once inside, I saw a man in his 20s, quite handsome and kind-looking which is I guess a normal thing in this world. He was seated in the head position of a round table used for meetings. Behind him, there was another man who was standing who is in his 20s as well, seemingly the personal guard or maybe an attendant of the one who was sitting. The guy on the seat must be another child from a noble military family.

I sat on the seat right across from him. He offered me an amicable smile and introduced himself as General Hugo Delphis who handles all the internal affairs in the camp. I also introduced myself as Luna Rosenoir, royal envoy. He chuckled at my very short introduction of myself.

I looked at him silently, no emotions shown on my face. His attendant tapped his shoulder and that was when he realized that I was just staring at him, clearly unamused about anything he finds funny. He coughed to break the awkwardness and explained, "I apologize for suddenly laughing. I am not laughing at you and was simply amused at how short and humble your introduction was compared to everything that was written in your introductory letter from the palace."

It turned out that my in-laws made sure that nobody is going to cross me when I went up north, knowing that among the soldiers stationed there are sons of nobles and rich merchant families who have a natural arrogance in them. It seems that my in-laws indicated that I was a royal envoy, a doctor, a student of the Academe of Gnosis, an important person to the Mage Tower and also a rich businesswoman myself. I was actually glad that they did not also include my marriage to Aurum since it is already okay as it is.

Since the introductions are completed, I started talking about my tasks and reasons for coming here. I wanted to be clear about my tasks and how long I will be staying in the camp. I honestly told them that I will only be staying here for three weeks at most and my tasks will revolve around only two areas which are the medical and dining facilities. As for the storage facilities, I will only visit once to deliver all the rations and supplies that they asked from the capital.

General Delphis’ and his assistant’s eyes widened at my declaration. With a nervous voice, the general asked, "You are a doctor with knowledge in medicinal cuisine, that I know. I did not know that you are also the person assigned to deliver supplies. You arrived in such a small carriage."

I smiled at him for the first time since we met and replied, "Now you know the reason why I am an important person to both the palace and the mage tower. Have you heard of space and time magic?"

The general nodded his head, his face still shocked. He then honestly replied, "I thought we needed to wait atleast up to three months more before we can get aid from the capital. That was how it has always been. We have only sent the list of the supplies we need about a month ago."

I nodded my head in understanding, thinking about the total distance I traveled from Hoffen City to this camp. I responded to him,"I am also here to fix the problem of distance and long wait times for aid. I will build a trading post here managed by my company that you can use to send urgent letters and requests for aid for a small fee. You can receive the responses and the items you requested for through it as well. I also have an alchemy shop under my company where you can request for medicine that you urgently need at a discounted price, payable by the palace."

The general simply stared at me for a prolonged period of time seemingly not understanding everything I just said. His attendant was the one who spoke this time, "Ms. Luna, how soon can you build this trading post? Can our soldiers also use it to send letters, money and items to their families anywhere in this empire?"

I looked at his face and for the first time, gone was the cold and indifference in it. His face looked like he was begging for my answer to be "Yes" and that’s when I remember that most of these soldiers have been stationed here for several months without seeing or hearing anything from their families. Sure, letters come in but due to the distance it may take several weeks or even a month to get one.

I looked at the attendant for a few seconds and I can see how his eyes were almost begging. I slowly nodded my head and murmured "soon" and I saw him close his eyes slowly then covered them with his right hand. He murmured, "Thank you, envoy" as he turned around and went out of the tent in a hurry.

As for the general, he was still staring at me seemingly not present at the moment so I stood up and bid my farewell. I left with a last statement, "If you have any further questions, I am in my wagon. Just call out for me. Have a great day, General Delphis."
