Last Ruler Of The Empty Throne-Chapter 86: Hierarchy

After taking their seats, Nancy stepped forward,

"Now we begin the second meeting, first thing I should tell all of you is ’Well done’." She smiled at the evolvers for what felt like the first time. She too knew the future problems they could have, and she knew it wasn’t good.

However, these evolvers had done their part, and it was time to let them know where they stood. Even when it wasn’t their shift, they went out to level up in their own ways. And the general level of the camp kept increasing.

"The second thing is, even if you felt like you haven’t been watched, you were. Your leadership skill, power level and decision making are all among the reasons for your positions today. And for those who accumulated high number of deaths, or bad decisions, you will likewise be evaluated. And for those who aren’t selected, if you turn out to better than your leader, you take his or her positions, do don’t be discouraged."

The tension in the room was already all time high. Some of them started thinking of what they had done wrong and while some felt guilty, some even felt more confident.

"Now moving on to the first legion, Wind slaying legion..." She didn’t need to say anything else to know who was leading the legion, they all naturally looked at Cynthia, who was recklessly grinning.

Jon and the remaining girls just shook their heads, it seemed Cynthia was a bit more playful than they thought.

However, for formality’s sake, Nancy continued, "Cynthia will be the leader. And the first regiment leader will be left empty at the moment. The second regiment leader will also be left empty at the moment." She stopped a little to see the reactions of the people.

Everyone knew what that meant, it was going to be by merit to get there.

"The leader of the first battalion is Dunlop." Everyone then looked at Dunlop who was standing in a spot in the conference room.

His face displayed shock, he totally didn’t expect it. He immediately turned to Jon with a face asking, ’How was it possible’. However, Jon just nodded at him with a light smile.

Dunlop was the man who had given them some advice in the previous to watch out, he didn’t like the methods of the former leaders, but he didn’t have any power to change it. Until Jon and the girls overthrew them.

However, he couldn’t just stop because that happened, he wanted to get stronger to be able to prevent something like that from happening in the future. So, he led his team well and made sure his team was strong generally, and not just him.

Actually, Jon wanted to make him the second regiment leader, but the regiment leader had to be in the first realm. And he was still completing his requirements.

"The leader of the second battalion is Trudy."

"Eh?" Trudy herself reacted in shock. She had expected a company or a division, but a battalion was even higher than a platoon. Trudy was among the people who went with Jon on his first scout. She was actually an assassin type. And true to her nature, nobody even noticed her till now.

And before she could react anymore Nancy continued, "The leader of the third battalion is Mia" It was almost expected because Trudy and Mia were close. Mia was also among the first scouts, she controlled ’Mist’. But she calmly accepted it, because if even Trudy could be remembered, she too would be.

"The leader of the first platoon is...." Until she got to the last team leader did, she stop and waited for them digest what they had just heard.

"The second legion, sigh" Even Nancy sighed and shook her head at the names the legion leaders brought up, but she had to continue.

"Celestial embers legion is Jenny Stalwart." Everyone then turned to her.

’Wait, why does it sound like that.’ Jenny was trying her best not to jump through the broken window. When she formed the name, it didn’t sound so bad but hearing it now, she wanted to just bury herself alive.

"The leader of the first regiment is Norman." Norman was the former head of security in the university. Since it was a bit expected, he just nodded his head calmly at the situation.

"The leader of the second regiment is Robin." Now Robin was the well-known assassin and had advanced to the first realm.

"The leader of the first battalion is John"

"I will do my best" He immediately stood up to let himself be known. He didn’t take pride in his main skill and changed it, but he took pride in his name.

"The leader of the second battalion is Simon" He was the one who changed his name from Joe to Simon to avoid a mix up in names.

"The leader of the third battalion is Talen; the leader of the first platoon is..." she read out like that until the last team leader.

"The third legion, Apex legion’s leader is Alexa."

"The leader of the first regiment is Tim" Tim was the archer who was also in her squad. He too was able to advance.

"The leader of the second regiment is...Luna"

A lot of people sucked their breaths at the delayed call of her name. Luna showed slight surprise at the position, while a legion leader was too much for her since she was new, a regiment leader was high.

"That’s a good one miss." The executives of the rebels were all excited for her. But she didn’t look at them. She stared at Jon who was actually getting bored at the continuous repeat of names.

’What is he thinking?’ she couldn’t figure his reason behind the position, but she felt like she actually deserved it. Except for Jon, the girls, she was likely the strongest person here. And her leadership skill already showed itself with the issue of the rebels.

"The leader of the first battalion is Cathy." Cathy was the second and female archer that was with Alexa. She wasn’t the second regiment leader because she also wasn’t in her first realm yet.

"The leader of the second battalion is empty at the moment." Another empty seat for the taking,

"The leader of the third battalion is also empty at the moment. The leader of the first platoon is...." Also, till the end.

"The fourth legion, Light legion’s leader is Laura."

"The leader of the first regiment is Lucy."

Lucy was in the camp before they took it over, she looked like a fiery and rough personality, and she used a whip. Which was strange for a person like her but that was it.

"The leader of the second regiment is empty at the moment."

"The leader of the first battalion is Victor."

"Huh?" Victor who was seated beside his sister reacted strangely. He truly didn’t expect anything that high. And even if, he would have been fine with even a team, but a battalion was.

"Just accept it, brother." Victoria was really happy for him and urging him to accept it.

"T-Thanks" Victor flustered but bowed and accepted his position.

"The leader of the second battalion is Martha." She was a woman who looked like a typical work out female. And she used her fist to fight. "The leader of the first platoon is..." like that again, she continued till the team leaders.

"And the last group will be the stargazers. The leader will be Jon Whyte. The members of the group are Gar’al and Ronald for now. That is all for the evolver’s hierarchy." Closing the documents she was reading; she took a step back.

"Alright, this is what we have evaluated from you all. Remember, no position is permanent. You can go higher or lower. As, we know this is the first month. Watch out for any strange thing you haven’t seen before and report it appropriately." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

With that the meeting was called to a close. A lot of them left smiling while the rest left frowning.

As of now, for any meeting the legion leaders, the regiment leaders and battalion leaders will attend and pass on the message to the others. With this, a clear hierarchy had been formed.

People will use this against the ones who had previously offended them, however it wasn’t permanent. So, they would have to be careful to not abuse it.

Later that evening,

"Haaa..." as usual Jon was in the bath enjoying a shower. It had been a stressful day for him. He had to sit there and listen to someone recite the things he had already read and almost memorized.

"I would rather..." he was about to complain when something happened.

RUMBLE....

The whole building was shaking.

Immediately, he spread is sense to its limit to see the surrounding. And it wasn’t only his building. Everywhere was shaking.

"W-What is happening."

"A-Are monsters coming?"

"E-Eh?"

People immediately came out of their houses to look at the situation. The police and evolvers immediately came in full force and spread out throughout the camp to survey the surrounding.

With the sound of the wind passing, Cynthia appeared with a serious expression. She too didn’t know what was going on.

And before long the remaining legion, regiment and battalion leaders came out. They too didn’t know what was going on.

They began conversing with the evolvers separated in the various places of the camp with the walkie-talkies.

And finally, Jon appeared in a shirt and towel around his waist.

"Hey, Jon, did you know something was going to happen." Cynthia looked at him questioning. He had said it that something might happen on the first month and it was looking he was right.

"I just guessed, but, can’t you feel the change in the mana?" Jon pointed out.
