Last Ruler Of The Empty Throne-Chapter 89: Camp crisis (II)

After about an hour of continuous fighting, the evolvers who fought the second wave were getting tired.

They weren’t on the attacking position, no they were defending and trying to push them back. And they were doing it with all their might because, if they passed them, it was the camp next and the camp was their home.

"I’m going." Jenny said, she couldn’t take it anymore and summoned her flames. She couldn’t bear it to see people die, when she knew she could help them.

Cynthia didn’t say anything, if Jon was around, she would have also gone to fight. The reason she was even here was because she was now the temporary leader and she couldn’t get tired before they took the heads of all the monsters.

SHWAAAAAAA

Running to the rescue, Jenny summoned her flames and spread it without hesitation. The dark silver flames, prove of her initial definition began burning than usual.

And even when the flames passed her allies, it didn’t hurt them. However, the monster began burning in droves.

Finally, the battlefield showed a quick silence and stoppage.

However, the fire didn’t stop burning. She then started created various weapons in the air and hurling at the ones who didn’t get burnt. Not waiting for anything, she summoned her orbs beside her and rushed in with her sword.

SLASH...SLASH...SLASH

And the first realm monsters the evolvers had been having troubles dealing with began falling in droves.

"Was the difference this big?"

"M-Monster..."

"Wow..."

The first realm evolvers were amazed at the destruction Jenny was causing. It was so much that, no evolver had to move a finger to help. She was really pushing them on her own.

To them, Jenny was known as the most loving, peaceful and caring among the leaders. They didn’t even mention Cynthia who always smiled, but Jenny, it was a reasonable argument.

However now, there was nothing caring about her sword strikes.

One strike killed tens of them and the one’s that came close got burnt. However, it would take time to still reach the leaders if these monsters. But then again, she wasn’t alone.

RUMBLE...

CRACKLE...

BOOM...BOOOM...BOOOM

Laura also moved. She just dropped lightning as if she was in a play. She didn’t even need to move from her spot; however, they had to finish it on time to check the situation inside the camp. So, she too came forward to attack.

For Laura, lightning was really the only convenient ability, she could use without many conditions. In as much as there was a cloud, she could rain down lightning. And that was what she did,

BOOM...BOOOM

Haaa...

Jenny took a moment to catch her breath and looked at the remaining monsters. This time, they showed fear and took some steps back. After seeing her rampage, they didn’t want to be the next to die.

’It’s almost done.’ It only remained a final push before they met the leaders if the monsters.

Even meeting the leaders’ eye to eye, they shook a little for a moment before they regained themselves. To them, the girl raining down lightning and the one burning their subordinates were scary. However, they could see the tired expressions of the girls.

Though, they had sent out their subordinates as shields and expected them to die, they didn’t expect all of them to die. But they fulfilled their goals, they were already tired.

It suddenly became easy hunting for them,

Without wasting time, one of three-meter-tall bear stomped the ground and let out a roar,

ROOAAAAAR

BRRRMM

The ground shook and split open. Rocks of various sizes were spilling out and started hovering around it. This bear seemed able to use its ability better than the bear they fought as soon as they left the cafeteria.

The bear was grinning and began walking forward as it saw the almost exhausted expression of Jenny. The remaining leaders didn’t move but prepared their attacks incase anything went wrong.

As the bear began moving forward, the rocks and stones suddenly started shooting at Jenny.

And,

SHWAAAAAAAA

Before it could reach its target, a large dark tornado of flames appeared in front of Jenny and cleared blocked all its attack, and not losing its momentum, it continued its direction.

RARRR

The bear roared in confusion at the attack being sent to it. He didn’t see Jenny prepare any attack, but now that he caught a quick glimpse of Jenny. He now saw another person standing in her front stretching out her hand.

Cynthia had intervened and was now using her telekinesis to push more power to it.

ROARRRRR

As the bear now focused on trying to block the attack, Cynthia moved forward. Without waiting to see the result of her attack, she rode the wind and reached the leaders side immediately.

With her confident control of the air, she swung her scythe in a smooth movement. However, before her attack could land, she immediately appeared behind a larger cat that had red like tattoos all over it.

SLASH

And with the large leader cat in its daze-looking at the bear, it didn’t even know how it died.

THUD...

With the sound of the dropping head, the remaining leaders immediately snapped out of it and looked at Cynthia.

And true to being called leaders, one of them reacted immediately and pushed against the ground, shooting towards Cynthia’s back with its claws out. However,

SHKWAKWA

The sound of lightning crashing on the grasshopper’s body and collapsing on the ground was the next highlight of the situation.

GAAHHHH

The grasshopper weakly tried to raise its burnt black body to keep fighting while screaming out. However, Cynthia also immediately appeared behind it and SLASH. Another leader had just died.

KRRRR

The remaining staggered back trying to find balance to attack again, just to look up to see weapons made of silver raining on them.

GRAAAAKKK

BANG...BANG...BANG

After the intense raining of weapons, the dust cleared, and the results could be seen. Ten leaders were still alive before the large-scale attack; however, they remained eight.

Even those alive had holes pierced through them, except a particular flaming lion that was able to block the attack.

ROOOAAAR

It slammed its paws to the ground as if to say, ’They shouldn’t be underestimated.’ was now.

"Then can you handle this..." she revealed her half-crown that increased her output power. Then focusing on only the lion, she attacked,

KAAABOOOOM

RARR?

Even the lion knew it couldn’t survive this, but it was already too late. After the attack settled, nothing was left of the lion. And even the two monsters beside it were swept up in the attack.

KIEEEE

The remaining leaders knew they couldn’t survive, so they turned their backs against Cynthia and begun to flee, however would she let them.

She conjured weapons made of wind and shot it at them. The fleeing leaders turned around to block the attacks to prevent more injuries. But who would have expected them to see the dark tornado been hurled at them before they could even block the first attack.

WHAAAAAAM

In the raging tornado, they got swept up leaving nothing in its wake.

"Kill the rest." Cynthia turned around with a fierce look on her face and ordered the deaths of the scattered monsters.

"Yes" However, the response was a bit delayed. It felt a bit reassuring seeing the strength of the leaders this way. They instinctively knew that even when they get to that level, they couldn’t fight that way.

It was only natural, fighting the hard bodies of the beetles really helped a lot in this fight. If they hadn’t been there to level up or get stronger, it wouldn’t have ended that way.

And before long, sounds of attacks and fighting rung out again,

SLASH...KIIEEE...RARGH

And with the final push from the evolvers, there were gradually becoming no signs of monsters around, with their bloods pooling together and forming a river.

"Search the perimeter, check for any abnormal signs." Cynthia gave the order, and the evolvers moved out to carry it out.

Then suddenly,

BOOOOOOOM

Snapping their heads to the direction of the explosion, it was coming inside the camp.
