Chapter 96: Amelia

It was a really strange situation for someone to look at an empty space and ask, ’Who are you?’

If it was before the fall, he might have been rushed to the psychiatric hospital, however in this new world, there were lots of strange things that became normal or were becoming normal.

With the introduction of skills, formerly impossible things became normal, and even among those impossible things, there were still impossible skills. And one of them was Jon’s skill, ’Moon gaze’

Without being able to see the full description, he was able to spot weakness, see through and scan things. Now, he could see more, and maybe because he wasn’t in an already established place where the evolution stages had already occurred, however it wasn’t usual.

The usual ocular skill wasn’t meant to spot something as someone hiding themselves with space. And especially this level of person.

Immediately he asked the question, his body tensed and his mind racing, ’For someone able to hide from me, they’re stronger than me. I will have to use the special of one strike, explode the weapon, I might even need to explode it twice and vectors, I can’t save anything against this person.’

He didn’t even try to fight, he was immediately planning his escape, because what he saw with his gaze was impossible for him. ’No, it’s not enough, I should try and stall for time while I escape.’

His brain worked in overdrive that all of his thoughts hadn’t been more than two seconds. And true to his words, the space beside him rippled and the person emerged.

And the perfect definition to give was, she was a goddess.

Dark purple hair that looked even darker than the color black that extended down to her lower back. The hair seemed alive on its own as it gently flowed around. Her beautiful golden eyes that seemed to peer into his mind and soul, it was like he was an open book in front of her. Her face was so beautiful that it somehow made dark purple hair and golden eyes work. Her body was fully covered, leaving no skin in a full black that had designs of purple here and there. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

If Cynthia was a ten, this woman was a twenty, she was just that beautiful. And such woman was staring at him.

"How did you see me?" She tilted her head a little as she asked, it was as if she hadn’t noted his preparations he was making.

"Who are you?" Jon asked back, his brain hadn’t even confirmed he was asked a question. He was still trying to stall for time.

"I asked first" She pressed,

"Huh," Now that he thought about it, he actually asked first. "I saw you first and asked, remember?" He started moving back a little in anticipation.

"Hmm...okay, my name is Amelia." She smiled a little as she introduced herself, "Now answer, how did you see me?"

Jon gulped, he had tried to stall, however she answered his questions. Now he was forced to answer her. "Sigh...I have a skill that makes me see more." He decided to take it easy for now and still see if this was a way out.

"I see..." She nodded in understanding, however she wasn’t really convinced. But, she couldn’t expect any answers that could satisfy her.

Jon not wanting to continue straining himself asked a direct question, "Are you going to kill me?"

"What?" Amelia was flustered for the first time at his question. She didn’t even look as surprised when he found her out. Looking at him again, she could see that he was preparing skills to run away.

She really didn’t know he was planning that, or rather it was too weak to get her attention.

"No" She eventually said to see his reaction.

"Whew..." he finally released all the strain and overdrive his brain had just gone on. But looking at her again, ’Who could she be...’ It became obvious to him immediately that she was from another world.

He had already had a clue about that from ’Mervill’. The way he explained almost made it certain of the existence of other worlds and seeing Amelia confirmed it.

"So Amelia, why are you here?" Looking at her again, she was floating in the air, something nobody was still able to do. It was as if she wasn’t trying to hide it.

"You don’t have to know." Amelia dismissed him.

’Right, at least I got an answer.’ He was still looking at her, she really got more beautiful each time he looked at her.

"Besides, don’t you have something to do?"

She began pointing downwards the countless zombies.

"Ah, right." He forgot he was about to enter a horde of zombies. Glancing at her face on more time, he got down from the tree he was in and landed on the ground.

It was still a few meters from the zombies, so he first spread his senses, ’It seems they haven’t arrived.’ Alexa and Gar’al had followed him on this trip he took, and it seemed they hadn’t arrived yet.

He wasn’t worried about them, Alexa was already in the first realm and Gar’al was in the threshold and could fight with an early first realm without problems.

’Then, add all points to strength.’

[STRENGTH: 330]

Then he morphed his black rod into a sword and spread his bluish fog began spreading outwards in waves.

’I have to be careful, one scratch that’s it.’

Looking at the millions of zombies at his front, he tensed.

He didn’t know the skill he just used sparked something in Amelia’s mind,

’Blue fog...is he among them’ she then decided to wait and watch to see if she could get her answers from his fight.

Now Jon couldn’t just jump in between them as he had done with the beetles and spiders, he had to start from the edge. And though it will be harder, because his goal was what was causing the phenomena and that thing would most likely be in the middle of this horde.

However, that was the only way.

The fog began to latch on them and altering their movements. He shifted the arm of a zombie to hit the closest zombie expecting a chain of assaults of reactions. However, he didn’t expect for nothing to happen.

As if the zombie that was hit didn’t care, it just kept moving. Even though it lost its face with the clash from the other zombies, it didn’t retaliate.

’That’s zombies for you, they don’t have emotions, making them the perfect for an apocalypse beginning.’ Amelia in the sky understood what Jon wanted to do.

’So, it didn’t work.’ He had expected it to a certain extent, but seeing it not happen left a kind of disappointment in him.

So he did the next thing. He stopped their movements. And without waiting again, he unleashed his aura with moon energy and started attacking.

SLASH...SLASH...SLASH

The zombies fell with each swing in droves. With three full power swings over a hundred of zombies had fallen.

Maybe because it was the last monsters Jon fought with his aura, but when he fought the beetles and spiders, they were able to resist his aura to a certain extent.

That was why his attacks didn’t cause as much damage as one would expect. But now, it was displaying the power it normally had. His bluish aura moved like a berserker finding its way through the heads of the zombies.

’Aura?’ Even Amelia found it quite shocking. Of course she knew places where people used it in droves. Even for her, if she focused for days she could form it. However, the fact Jon was using it meant it was a scroll he got.

After all, his world just recently started its evolution. And if it was really the skill she was thinking of, it was the fastest way to utilize ’will’.

’He definitely is talented.’ Amelia nodded her head. From the droves of zombies Jon was clearing, she could tell he was strong and talented enough.

However,

It was like it didn’t matter. No matter how much he killed, it felt pointless. It was like they kept refiling and that made his movement remain static.

He remained on the spot slashing and as if it didn’t matter, it felt like he was doing and doing it again.

Then, he just decided to jump further and before he landed, he used telekinesis to blow the zombies around the area away. And the moment he landed, he slashed the zombies that were now behind him before focusing on the ones at his front.

’One strike’

Immediately morphing his sword in to a spear, he pierced forward. And like that, a massive empty line appeared in the area he pierced. And without wasting time, he pierced in five different places.

BOOOM...BOOOM....BOOOM...

BOOOM....BOOOOM

As if a giant claw had grazed the ground, lines of zombies that occupied those places became empty. And like that over a thousand zombies fell.

’Even though,’ Amelia shook her head. She knew it couldn’t continue like this, he would just tire out instead.

’Haa...I didn’t think it would be like this,’ It seemed he too realized his futile effort. So he cancelled the bluish fog spreading about and jumped to the sky and used double jump to jump further.

’Now, time for large attacks.’
