Chapter 97: Absurd situation

After about twenty minutes of trying to reduce the army from the edge, he realized it was pointless. He just needed massive attacks and aim at the middle instead.

’Now thinking of it, I should have done this in the first place.’ High in the sky, he unleashed his full sense and gaze.

He had to find the source of the phenomenon and attack from.

WHOOOOM

And as if he had been blind since the beginning, he saw something in the middle of the horde of zombies.

’What is that?’ he saw it underneath the cluster in the middle. He was able to make a shape of a toy, and it was wooden. ’I don’t understand...,’ looking around again, he saw Amelia still there.

"Hey Amelia, can you see anything there." He asked pointing at the middle. However, Amelia narrowed her eyes and looked at Jon,

"How are you floating...No, is it a skill"

"U-Um, I think this is more important." She was really asking about how he was floating, when he could die any time if he wasn’t careful.

However, seeing her face not change, he sighed and was about to answer and thought of something.

"I’ll answer any question you have for me after this." He looked at her again expecting a change. And as expected, there was a change in her face.

She then slowly nodded and looked at the direction Jon was pointing at. "W-Wait, is that..." her voice froze at the sight of the object she saw.

"You know it?" Jon turned his face to look at her when he saw the face filled with shock.

’Why is that here...’ she didn’t even here Jon’s voice again. She was just too shaken seeing this here.

’Ah, she can’t even answer me.’ Jon could tell, it was something she knew. And if it was enough to shake her, it must have been something really big.

So without any further question, she released his ’Double Jump’ and started falling to the ground. But he wasn’t idle.

He immediately used 100 points of mana to form a massive web of about 30 meters. Not wanting to use it that way, he spent more mana to shape it into a massive spear pointed down. However, he didn’t stop there, he formed two more and shaped them into spears. He bit his lip as he just spent over 300 points of mana.

’Urgh...’ he grunted not only in pain but because of the excess mana he was using, then he used telekinesis to make the massive web spears float in the air.

And, he wasn’t finished. As much as possible, he wanted to take out as much zombies as possible.

So using another 300 points of mana, he added the special activation of ’One strike’ in the three web spears.

"Fuck..." he shouted, it wasn’t easy spending over 600 points of mana just like that, and it became to irritate him.

And without his knowing, his murderous intent began to leak out.

’Hmm...’ Amelia had already snapped of her stupor and continued watching the situation while still keeping an eye on the object. And the attack, Jon was forming was beginning to get a bit dangerous.

The huge web spear together with the extra piercing power she could feel from it. That was the ’One strike’ she was sensing, and as if it that wasn’t enough, he started leaking murderous intent.

’What kind of murderous intent is that...’ she was surprised that a murderous intent from a first realm could actually sting her like this. And though, it was wild and uncontrollable, it wasn’t meant to affect her.

With tense and serious concentration before he landed to the ground, he used ’Double jump’ to jump he sent the three death sentencing spear to the ground.

And the moment he reached his desired height, he stretched out his hand and sent all his ’Will’ at the spears.

"Destroy"

"What the..." Amelia’s eyes shook and she trembled as her words were cut short,

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

"W-What..." Jon’s eyes widened as his own attack enveloped him and everything around him.

...

About 5 kilometers from where Jon was,

Gar’al and Alexa had been following behind Jon until they lost him. And they had to just keep moving in the general direction he went.

Unfortunately for them, their journey wasn’t smooth. They were met with stray monsters and zombies, and thankfully, it wasn’t anything too much for them. However, they still had to fight for about 30 minutes before they finished their battles. And through this battle, Gar’al finally crossed over to the first realm.

The first visible change was, he grew even taller, more hairy and his voice became deeper with the change.

And the second change was,

"I can sense him now." Gar’al looked at Alexa.

"Hmm..." Alexa just nodded. From the way Gar’al fought, it was obvious he was more beast than man, and since they had fought together, she could trust him to an extent. So she didn’t ask how he knew.

"Here." Gar’al immediately began running towards a slightly different direction than they had been.

However, they hadn’t even ran for 10 minutes before Gar’al suddenly stopped.

"What’s wrong." Alexa narrowed her eyes and scanned the surrounding in case. However, she didn’t sense anything.

"Further is dangerous." Gar’al stepped back, it was as if he had become a bit smaller as he began shaking a bit. His senses just kept blaring at him that it he moved any closer, he would die.

Alexa trusting him a bit also stepped back, and as if rewarding their patience, it happened,

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

"Grrrrr..." Gar’al grunted and moved back in fear.

Alexa’s eyes and ears began bleeding profusely just from the sound itself. She sat helplessly on the ground as she saw the scene that unfolded before her eyes as the explosion started clearing.

Everything at her front became a wasteland. The trees, the monsters they left, the ground, the road, the buildings everything was no more.

All they could see was empty land and a charred black ground.

’Who...’ she couldn’t even finish her words, this wasn’t something a person could do. So it was better to say ’What’. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say, it was a natural disaster.

And after a five minutes, Gar’al approached Alexa and tried to raise her,

"Jon is still there." Gar’al pointed at the empty black charred land now.

And as if it just dawned on her, "J-J-Jon, Jon, is he alright." She kept stammering as if she had lost it. If her legion saw her, they would be surprised at her attitude. Alexa was known as the most cool-headed even that the ones who had calming related skills. And seeing her like this would certainly put them in a large state of shock. It wasn’t strange she was acting like this at all.

Truthfully, Jon was the only person she could say she had left. After her brother had gone, she basically transferred all her brotherly emotions and dumped them on Jon.

And Jon was totally fine with it, he had already said he would take on everything. And now, he was going to die in that explosion.

She didn’t believe for one second that Jon could survive that explosion, so her even helpless body became more helpless, as if it had been sunk to the ground.

And that was when,

"He’s not dead" Gar’al said.

"W-What?" Alexa, whose eyes were already red looked at Gar’al with a large questioning look.

"He’s not dead, that’s why I said we should go now." Gar’al as he said it. Since entering the first realm, his senses almost doubled. And since he followed Jon for a reason, he could sense him, especially the murderous intent.

The moment he sensed the murderous intent, he knew his position. And even till now, he could still sense him, albeit weakly.

With the revelation, Alexa was able to pick herself up and began following Gar’al.

...

True to Gar’al’s words, Jon wasn’t dead. However, he would have better dead,

The explosion reached him despite the height he had reached. And thankfully, he was able to react almost immediately because of that. He didn’t have any defensive treasures, so he had to use moon energy and aura to form a sturdy shield.

And he didn’t stop there, he immediately began to use his shadow steps and cloud steps to escape.

However, who would ever thought, his preparations didn’t matter. His ’sturdy shield’ crumbled and the scale of the explosion was too much for him to want to just run away.

So it totally overwhelmed him. "Fuck...Fuck...Fuck..." That was all he shouted from when he started to block and when it crumbled.

He had always found it funny, if one died as a result of their skill and attack. And here, he was the victim.

He didn’t even have anything to say, after using cocoon web, he used one strike, then telekinesis, then he also felt his murderous intent sip in and as he had figured out, anything with will was divine.

Maybe because of the absurdity of the situation, he didn’t scream out in pain. He had lost his left arm and leg. His face was missing a lot of parts, his body was charred black and his bones almost totally crushed into powder. And as if that was not enough, he falling down to the ground.

From that height, he certainly was going to die.

It was as if the skill pitied him as the one who created it and let him with only this injury. And maybe because he was still falling and the intense breeze, the pain was becoming less intense.

Or rather, he was on the verge of death.
