Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword-Chapter 54: I Don’t Know
During the dinner, once they sat at the same table, Felix didn’t hesitate to initiate the conversation.
He asked, "Did I do something wrong? It’s fine. You can tell me."
Krisha was silent for a while, eating slowly than the usual. Her head lowered, her gaze were at the food, seemingly ignoring Felix.
Felix smiled bitterly and remained quiet, continuing to eat.
He didn’t want to pressure Krisha at all.
As they continued eating for five minutes straight in silence, Krisha finally spoke.
She said, "I’m just frustrated with you. But you did nothing wrong, it’s on me."
Felix was quite surprised. He gazed at her with eyes filled with concerns and asked, "You wouldn’t have been frustrated with me if I did nothing wrong, right? It’s fine, you can tell me."
Krisha shook her head. "You did nothing wrong. You might have done something, but it’s not wrong—not at all. I’m just frustrated for myself, that’s all."
Felix was speechless. If I did nothing wrong, then I did right and that made her frustrated?
That sounds complicated, isn’t it?
Felix didn’t know how to proceed with their conversation now. Since he had done nothing wrong and Krisha was frustrated himself, which obviously related to what he had done that was nothing wrong, then he couldn’t force her to reveal the problem.
Because it appeared that it mostly involved herself.
Felix contemplated for a while and finally replied, "I see. But know that if there’s something I can do to ease your frustrations, don’t forget that I’m willing to do it for you. I don’t want you to get frustrated with me. You’re the only friend that I have."
Krisha was silent for a while. She then nodded with a light hum in response.
They continued to eat in silence until they were finished. Along the way they returned to their room, Krisha had never glanced at Felix at all and remained quiet.
Felix rested on his bed and sighed. Krisha’s frustrations wouldn’t leave his mind. He felt uncomfortable, after knowing she was frustrated after he did something. It might affect their friendship for the long run.
He contemplated for a while and sighed deeply.
There’s nothing I can do. If she won’t cooperate, I can’t force her either, that’s so wrong.
Felix took out his phone and messaged Krisha, "I’ll be here if you need something. Don’t hesitate to reach out, okay?😊"
Felix waited for a while and felt a bit relieved that Krisha responded by reacting his message with a heart emoji.
She might not have replied but that subtle response assured him somewhat.
Now that he cleared his mind, he meditated with Felix for the rest of the night and slept for 7 hours straight.
...
The moment Felix woke up, he had a breakfast first without Krisha, and headed outside to practice by himself.
He found a perfect spot where it was difficult for others to notice. He always has a bottle of water with him and extra shirts.
As he placed the bottle of water and extra shirts on the ground, he glanced at the former and thought. Should I buy an energy drink instead of water?
His parents strictly forbid him to drink energy drink. However, Felix didn’t realize that his parents only forbid him simply because he wasn’t exercising at all. Hence, Felix resorted to drinking caffeine whenever he planned to stay up late at night to study.
For the next hours until the afternoon, Felix simply practiced his sword techniques, often integrating it with his skills, while using an enormous rock in front of him.
When an hour was left before the ramble began, Felix had to return to use another wooden sword. The wooden sword he used for practice didn’t last.
He already decided to buy more wooden sword for future use.
He was currently standing in front of his wooden rack, grabbing a wooden sword. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
He communicated with the Guide.
"It’s quite a waste, right? In the end, I only managed to gain one EXP."
[Like I said, the higher the rank, the difficult it is to gain EXP. EXP means experience. Accumulating without experience without assimilating knowledge in the process is not counted.
As for your question, no, it’s not a waste. You might get used to hitting nothing but air.]
Felix nodded. It made sense. He wasn’t in a hurry anyway, he was already halfway in reaching Commander Rank. There was still plenty time left for him.
As he pushed the wooden sword on his belt, he chatted with Rain for a while, before leaving his room.
He barely left a glance at Krisha’s door and wondered if he was still in her room.
Should I knock?
In the end, Felix held himself back. He knew that the more he pushed himself towards her, the more she’d pulled herself away from him.
He has to give her enough space and time to contemplate.
He sighed. Just why did it come to this?
He felt bothered as he proceeded to the Mist Courtyard Ramble.
As soon as he arrived, he completely ignored the countless gazes directed at him.
They didn’t bother hiding their hatred towards him, but Felix was totally careless about them, causing them to be even more frustrated.
Felix’s whole attention was where Krisha was, but he was disappointed to fail seeing her in the crowd.
He sighed quite deeply and simply waited for the instructor to come... and Krisha.
He even waited for her until the instructor finally appeared.
He sighed once again and listened to Instructor Albert’s instructions for a while.
He fought for the first round and the fourth round—each gaining him special merit.
After all, his opponents banded together just to defeat him. However, he was now at the Awakener Rank 6, causing his stamina and energy to rise. At the same time, after the first round, Instructor Albert gave him an energy drink and even suggested the type of energy drink better for him to buy.
Felix thanked him twice after receiving energy drink after each round he participated.
At the moment, Instructor Albert and Felix were chatting with each other inside the platform as they proceeded outside.
Instructor Albert asked, "Oh, right. Where is Miss Krisha? I haven’t seen her today."
Felix froze.
He smiled bitterly. "I actually don’t know."
