Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 134 - 135 She Is Not Afraid of Death 2
She wasn’t unafraid of death.
She just didn’t want to live anymore.
This life was just too lonely. After losing the vow to wait for that person, she found she couldn’t find a reason to go on living.
No one loved her.
Lady Hyde was good to her, but she was Brandan’s mother; at crucial moments, she would side with Brandan. William Moore was also good to her, but she didn’t want to trouble him—he was her only true friend.
Sometimes she wondered if the reason she stubbornly waited for that person to return was simply because, in this world, he was the only one who loved her. That’s why she was so desperate for Brandan to remember.
So when that hope was shattered, she lost the courage to live.
Because... it was truly too lonely.
Living alone was really too lonely.

Iris Harris, as usual, ordered a double coffee in that café.
The lady boss already knew her and specifically instructed the waiter to tell her that she could get free refills.
There was really no particular reason she chose this café, purely because it was bathed in sunlight all day, which felt nice, and she had nowhere else to go—just waiting for death.
She didn’t know how much time had passed when the phone on the table suddenly rang. She picked it up and saw it was William Moore calling.
Iris had been avoiding contact with William recently. She was afraid he would notice something, afraid he would feel sad for her. She didn’t want him to be upset for her sake.
"Xavier? What’s up?"
"Iris, we haven’t gotten together in a while," William’s voice was still as clear and pleasant as ever through the phone. "Do you have time today?"
Iris hesitated for a moment but felt too embarrassed to refuse William’s invitation: "Yes, I do. Shall I come by after you get out of work?"
William chuckled softly a few times: "Sure."
Listening to William’s voice, Iris felt her mood lift considerably. It was truly wonderful to know William.
After chatting with William for a bit more, she hung up and looked at the time. It was already three-thirty in the afternoon, and just an hour till William’s workday was over.
She finished her coffee, stood up from her spot, and as she was about to leave, hesitated and looked over to a young man at the neighboring table with a newspaper.
The man looked stunned when he saw her looking over, then awkwardly raised the newspaper to block her view.
She had noticed early on that Brandan had someone watching her.
But since it seemed unnecessary to mention it, she just allowed it.
However...
He and William didn’t get along well: would meeting William anger him?
Iris frowned and thought about it. Then she decided it didn’t matter—let him be angry.
After all, she was going to see William.
Iris picked up her bag and walked away.
She went to the café entrance, hailed a taxi, then told the driver William’s home address and got in.
As soon as she left, that young man immediately rushed out of the café, observed the direction of Iris’s car, and then made a phone call to Brandan.
After explaining the direction Iris’s car was headed, the man on the other end remained silent for a moment before responding, "I understand."
After hanging up, Brandan lost all interest in reading documents. He frowned slightly and leaned back in his office chair.
