Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 147 - 148: Will you never forgive me in your lifetime?
Iris Harris’s gaze fell on his fingers.
Brandan Hyde had very beautiful hands, slender and fair, as perfect as an artist’s painting on canvas, but at this moment, they were trembling slightly.
Was he afraid?
But what was he afraid of?
Iris Harris fell silent.
"Iris Harris!" Brandan Hyde gripped her wrist, "We’re going to the hospital right now!"
Beside them, Lady Hyde’s voice trembled incessantly, "Iris, are you alright? Let’s go to the hospital and take a look, let’s get checked!"
Iris Harris sat on the chair, blood still seeping through her fingers. Brandan Hyde felt somewhat dizzy, though he wasn’t squeamish about blood, yet his heart was pounding fast now. He didn’t know why he was so afraid, afraid to the point of almost being unable to stand.
"Going won’t help." Iris released her hand, looked up at him, her face covered in blood stains but her expression was very calm, "It can’t be healed."
"..." Brandan Hyde’s pupils contracted severely; he looked at Iris’s face and felt his heart racing messily, his complexion gradually turning pale.
"I don’t want to go." The bleeding slowly stopped, Iris wiped her face slowly with a tissue, "I don’t want to go to the hospital, Brandan."
How could she say such things so calmly?
Did she really understand what she was saying?
Brandan Hyde couldn’t describe his feelings; he closed his eyes, steadied his emotions, and then forcefully pulled her up from the chair.
He had once warned himself never to force her again.
But this time it was different, this time he couldn’t take it anymore.
Iris stumbled as he pulled her, and in the next second, she was lifted into the air and cradled horizontally by Brandan Hyde.
She was startled, instinctively wrapping her arms around the man’s neck.
"I don’t want to go!"
She snapped back to reality and began to struggle, yet Brandan Hyde held her tightly, so tight that she could barely breathe.
Someone opened the car door, and she was placed inside the car. Brandan quickly got in, Iris tightly pursing her lips, looked at him: "Why do you have to force me to do things I don’t want to do?"
"..." Brandan Hyde was silent for a moment, he turned his head to look at her, "Do you want me to watch you die?"
"..." Iris was stunned, then smiled slightly, "Haven’t you done that before?"
Brandan Hyde couldn’t describe how he felt at that moment.
Her words seemed to penetrate his heart.
He felt cold all over, holding the steering wheel with slightly trembling fingers.
"Iris Harris, will you never forgive me?"
Iris’s face still carried a slight smile, but her eyes were cold: "What’s there to forgive?"
"..."
Brandan Hyde withdrew his gaze and looked forward, starting the engine.
There was no need to say anything more.
Otherwise, he felt he couldn’t drive any further.
The most important thing now was to take her to the hospital and find out what exactly was wrong with her.
Nothing else mattered.
He told himself that once she was alright, he would have a lifetime to earn her forgiveness.
Even if not now, then in the future...
He couldn’t let the future slip away too.
The car swiftly headed towards the hospital.
As if she felt there was no way to escape, Iris quieted down, leaning lazily against the side, her eyes closed in a detached manner, sunlight falling on her face. Brandan Hyde withdrew his gaze and gripped the steering wheel tightly.
Why hadn’t he noticed before that her complexion had already turned pale and blue?
