Then his phone vibrated. Picking it up, he opened it and saw that he had made a large amount of money on just his third day of having the system.

"Double income? How is this possible? Where did all this money come from? I don’t even have a work," he muttered, completely unsure if there was some kind of error.

But after reading the notification and confirming the message from his bank, he realized it was all real. Then, a sudden realization struck him.

"Don’t tell me it’s from that?" he uttered as he turned on his laptop.

His arms and feet were restless as he sat on the bed with the laptop fully opened on his lap.

He opened his browser and searched for itch.io. To his surprise, his profile was filled with images and notifications. freewebnøvel.coɱ

Opening his emails, he found tons of messages from different people. He checked his statistics and saw that there were many reviews.

The first one was from a user named Zeddy. Not only that, but he also noticed a donation of 30,000 dollars from the same user.

Other users had also donated, with amounts ranging from 2 to 10 dollars. The most common donation was ten dollars, and the lowest was two.

He was dumbfounded, completely unprepared for this kind of response.

Checking the reviews, he saw a large number of five-star ratings, along with some four-star ones.

Most of the complaints mentioned the lack of a guide or tutorial, which made the game more difficult for new players.

Jeff couldn’t help but laugh, realizing he had completely forgotten to include something so essential.

He then replied to Zeddy’s message, saying:

[Razon: Thanks for the donation, chad. This is a big sum of money. Updates following your suggestions about crafting formulas and in-game guides will be included in the next update.

Also, since you’re the first person to ever play this game, and even donated this much, you deserve more than just patch notes.]

You will be given:

Founder’s Crown (Unique Item)

A golden, glowing crown, wearable only by the very first player, will be placed in your inventory. It cannot be removed, even upon death, and if stolen, it will automatically return to you. Your in-game name will permanently have a "★" and the title [First-Player] beside it in every multiplayer lobby.

...

With that, Jeff sent his reply and decided to focus on the upcoming update. He also edited the game’s description and included an announcement to inform players of the new changes.

...

After clicking the update button and making it public, Jeff glanced at the number of downloads. His mouth twitched in disbelief as the figures continued to rise rapidly.

[8,273,232 Downloads]

Just from the downloads alone, Jeff didn’t know how to react, since it was so overwhelming.

After searching and opening a link, he discovered that a Twitch streamer had accidentally played his game during a live broadcast.

He watched part of the gameplay, and not the full stream, but even that was enough to impress him.

He also came across several articles and news segments featuring his game, leaving him even more in awe.

"No wonder Minecraft is the best game of all time. These headlines alone show just how powerful popularity can be," Jeff muttered.

Going to Reddit, he saw players asking how to craft various items, they had even formed their own community just for this.

They were actively talking with one another, sharing ideas and discoveries.

When he clicked on the Discord link, he was stunned to see that the Minecraft Discord server alone had over 500,000+ members.

There were countless people sharing their findings, such as how to craft furnaces, glass, and many other items.

Seeing how much fun they were having, just from reading their replies, he smiled and began coding for the upcoming update.

He added a new option at the start of the game when it launched.

There, he included a section labeled [Information] so that players could easily see and click on it.

He spent a significant amount of time compiling detailed explanations for every block, item, weapon, and even the various biomes.

This section also covered mobs, explaining their behavior and what kind of drops they would yield.

Creating and editing all this information took him about two hours, as there was a vast amount of content to organize and present clearly.

Thanks to his skill in perfect English, he was able to explain everything in simple terms, making the information easy to understand.

The readability was clear and smooth, allowing players to grasp the mechanics without confusion.

(Author’s Note: The main character, Jeff, is a native Filipino speaker and does not use English in everyday conversations. Unless stated otherwise, all his dialogue is originally in Filipino. If a scene specifically mentions that he’s speaking in English, then he is. That’s all, Author out!)

After completing this, he grinned and added something he believed would become legendary in Minecraft.

It was none other than the creation of Herobrine, one of the most iconic, creepy, and mysterious figures in Minecraft history.

This was also the reason he had not added multiplayer yet.

He wanted players to experience the same eerie feeling that old players once felt when Herobrine appeared unexpectedly in their world

In the minecraft world herobrine is a mythical figure in the minecraft community. He looks like a default player (steve), but with glowing white eyes.

He was rumored to be a ghost, a glitch, or even an evil spirit within the game, one who stalks players, destroys builds, creates strange structures, and vanishes before he can be caught.

Herobrine was first mentioned in a post on the Minecraft forums in August 2010.

A user claimed to have seen strange, unnatural structures such as two-by-two tunnels, perfect pyramids in the ocean, and trees without leaves.

Then, they supposedly encountered a mysterious player with white eyes in their single-player world, who ran away the moment they were noticed.

When the player asked about it online, other users said:

"That’s Herobrine."

That is when the legend grew from their, players started sharing stories about seeing Herobrine in their worlds.

Creepypastas and YouTube videos were made, describing haunted worlds, corrupted maps, and jump scares.

The idea was that Herobrine was the ghost of Notch’s dead brother, secretly haunting the game.

(Author’s note: Notch never had a brother, this part is totally fictional.)

People emailed Notch (the creator of Minecraft) asking about Herobrine. He once responded:

"I did not put Herobrine in the game. But maybe I did."

That vague, trolling response only fueled the legend even more. Herobrine was said to appear randomly and silently, watching players from a distance with glowing white eyes.

He would leave behind mysterious changes in the world like tunnels, strange signs, or perfectly shaped pyramids and disappear the moment anyone tried to get close.

Strangest of all, no one could ever find a trace of him in the game’s code.

"Removed Herobrine" started appearing in official Minecraft patch notes as a joke.

But has Herobrine Ever Actually Been in Minecraft? the answer is ’No’. Herobrine has never officially existed in any version of Minecraft.

But Mojang played along with the joke by writing:

"Removed Herobrine" in the changelogs of multiple updates like:

Beta 1.6.6

Beta 1.7

Release 1.0

Release 1.6.2

And even Minecraft Dungeons!

But who really saw Herobrine technically, no one verifiably saw Herobrine, it’s all part of the creepypasta culture.

But streamers, youTubers, and modders made custom Herobrine sightings.

Popular creators like SkyDoesMinecraft, CaptainSparklez, and others helped spread the legend.

Since Jeff had completed RAZi AI, and his programming skills were god-tier, he was fully capable of designing Herobrine to behave like an AI-driven ghost character.

Not just a static mod or a scripted event, but a semi-sentient NPC with its own goals, logic, and behavioral routines.

Here’s a simplified version of what he had planned:

Herobrine’s AI Behavior

- Scan player proximity

- Stalk silently at a distance

- Teleport behind trees or hills if spotted

- Randomly modify the world (remove leaves, build tiny pyramids, dig 2x2 tunnels)

- Leave signs with eerie messages

- Disappear when approached closely

- Log player reactions to adapt future scares and Trigger audio whispers or glitch effects like (subtle things like breathing static a chuckle when you’re alone)

Of course, he planned to remove this update later, once he launched the multiplayer server a week from now.

He simply wanted to recreate the legend of Herobrine in Minecraft, just as players remembered it. With that in mind, Jeff used RAZi as the core for Herobrine’s AI and added all the designed behaviors.

Afterward, he edited his avatar to resemble Steve with white eyes. Once everything was finalized, he scheduled the update to go live on Itch.io at exactly 10:00 a.m. the following morning.

Glancing at the clock, he saw that it was already 3:22 am., so he decided to get some sleep since classes awaited him in just a few hours.
